Russell McGhee

Getting a tad concerned over our transfer business in this window and over the Lawrence injury.

William Ross

The greatest band of all time

Paul

Our transfer policy seems to be identify players who are out of favour/form or their contact is expiring. Reminds me of the Warburton era... Scott Wright to start tomorrow after a decent cameo only to do nothing when he starts? Seen that before

chris smith

There are only 2 reasons for our transfer woes … 1/ Wilson is really poor at his job, or 2/ we are trying to shop in markets that we simply cant afford. All clubs face issues with signings, cost, agents, availability, competition … they still get signings in. We seem simply unable to do things in a timely manner. Is Wilson’s tactic simply to bore the target player’s club to death by constant under-bidding?

Tamus

Sign some players, ya creepy wee midget

Lee

Sometimes I think the board/recruitment team must think we aren't allowed to see or hear what happens at other clubs. Literally everything we touch is 'complicated'

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David 👍😊 Absolutely awesome tune.

Luke

Ross Wilson has to get his stumpy wee thumb out his arse and sign someone.

Iain Graham

Great daily tale. Love hearing stories from Bears overseas.

Roofe is the attacking version of Helander. No doubt has quality but either due to incredibly bad luck or having to be 100% or he ‘can’t ’ play I doubt we will ever see him play any significant role for us. If you look at his career he very team gets one good season out him then he struggles to keep fit / be available. We need to stop signing guys who are great when fit or mentally in the right place and just get guys who have a pedigree of being available. Better a 7 out of ten available week in and out than a guy who is erratic or worse is missing for huge chunks of the season. Let’s hope we get some useable bodies in soon 👍🏻

John Smith

Always makes me think of American Psycho that song

Rona Bluebell

I’m proposing we have Football Recruitment Ebay with buy now options and auction bids. Make it a bit more interesting 🤨

Colin Mathie

Roofe out again, wow shocker! just sell him for god sake.

Scott Tolmie

See when Roofe falls can this guy not put his arms out, guy is made of glass

David Simpson

Damn, when I heard "True Faith," I thought a transfer deal had been completed- "...I used to think that the day would never come"!

Scott

I like Michael Beale but saying McGregor is the best keeper in the country is pure fantasy. Not even close.

Dejon Yeoman

I think as fans we do as you’ve described David. It’s us scrutinising and procrastinating. I would say our transfers are protracted not because they are complicated deals to do but because we are trying to extract the max value. For example the deal for the lad from Swansea would be done if we just just hit them with a £2m offer. We haven’t so it’ll drag on.

Andrew Whiteside

I completely get that we have a process in identifying a player and negotiating hard on the deal. I also get that we have a budgetary framework that we need to live in. I’m not in the Ross Wilson hater gang as I think he has had very little to work with financially and a few punts have been taken with not great outcomes. This window going by the finances from the annual reports we have the money to get the players we want. For me this window and the next will tell us if the process works. Now sign a F’kn player Rangers.

David Speedie

The lad Whittaker is one we shouldn’t let pass us bye imo That daily tale made me smile 😃👏🏻

Paul Kerr

We should have gone into that match at the weekend with a couple of new players ready to play a part. There really are no excuses. Ineptitude, lack of enthusiam from those controlling the purse strings... Whatever the reason it's just another example of the executive team asleep at the wheel.

AGS

Statistically second worse in league🤦🏻 only that spring chicken David Marshall is below him

David Innes

I’m probably being harsh but I feel like I’m starting to get flashbacks from the summer of 2011. I think Beale was very naive to publicly confirm our interest in Tom Davies and is now going to look very silly if we can’t pull off the Cantwell deal.

Graham Jones

All Beale is doing is managing the situation. He can be as honest as he needs to be. There is a need to maintain the group dynamics in there, because it has been improving slowly with each game. I do think a huge amount of damage was done to confidence in the way they were managed through the Champions League group games. It started at the piggery, and they never quite found their stride until Beale came back and reset them. Bio’s period in charge is still an unfathomable mystery to me. He nearly won us a European trophy, he then got us into the Champions League and then he managed to completely destroy the will of the squad. Glen Kamara was a major asset before he came in, and he left him on his knees. It was just one f the most bizarre periods in our history, but it’s perhaps reflects what the club have come through in the past decade or more. We’ve emerged from a nightmare and we keep remembering that time and looking for signs it still isn;t over. I think that’s why I was really annoyed when they didn’t front up about the money going to Sports Direct. That was a dumb move from a PR point of view.

maccalsa

Why are transfers "difficult" for us? We have no money, so we have to haggle and try and get value for money and not just meet a sides asking price

TIMMY TURTON

Loved the Daily Tale. Don’t always listened to them but just shows no matter where in the World you may be there’s always a Bear or Bearette not too far away. Made me laugh that he recognised Cammy’s Voice when he was trying to jump the Toilet Queue. lol ! 🎙️👏🏼😂
