St. Johnstone had lost their last 6 games. They had 10 men for a large part of the game. It took a dodgy penalty and an excellent strike to win.

Norm

Agree the team coasts and the reason it coasts is it is leaderless.

Graham Jones

We did start to coast on Saturday. We need someone on the park pressing the button every five minutes, but that comes down to those ones he relies on for that doing their jobs. However, a win is a win, and all I care about is winning every week for the moment. We need to show more patience before we get the sort of performance we’re after, because those players confidence is still fragile. They got their arses handed to them because they were disorganised under GvB. I’ve been one of the clubs biggest critics, but I think they’ve handled things pretty well in this window. You can’t force anyone to sell, but if they can get Raskin in before the deadline then we have had a good window. Another on top would be nice, but it seems the manager is fairly happy if he gets two for this window. It just means more work to do in the summer. I still think NEH was the right project at the wrong time, simply because we should’ve spent that on players at the time, but the building is absolutely fine. I was happy with what I saw, and the service was good. Interested to know if the club have said what they intend to do with where the shop was between Copeland and Govan. I get that the disabled facilities are next, but thats a huge area they can develop in those corners.

I'm completely in agreement with Andy, the performance on Saturday was, to put it bluntly, boring. Versus a team on an awful run of results and down to 10 men, it wasn't what I wanted to see. We've given them the benefit of the doubt that they were rebuilding confidence, and accepted the previous 3 games were played on terrible pitches but there was no excuse for Saturday. We are missing a killer instinct, and our failure to put teams to the sword only serves to give the opposition encouragement that they can get something. And defensively, we always give up high quality chances in every game. Incidentally, I commented on one of last week's shows asking why we didn't go long from kick off and send the message that we're intending to play in the opposition half and we're in a hurry to get a result. And the last 2 games, Davies has gone with a long diagonal from kick off So we know Michael Beale reads H&H!!

Laura McCrimmon

Completely agree with Andy I just found it boring and it was slow and predictable. I spent alot of my time laughing at McGregor losing his shit the majority of the 2nd half, he seemed to be constantly shouting for them to move it quicker and had his head in his hands several times. I just found it poor that we couldn't kill of that team.

Greg

Colak is being built up something big since he's been out the team, everyone's forgetting the hot streak ended a while before he got injured.

Heart and Hand

Don’t think anyone was building him up. Every one on the pod said they’d start Morelos ahead of him but that he’s a better finisher.

Gordon Macdougall

So how my phone switched to play this at 1 1/4 speed. Any chance the same technology can be applied to the midfield.

David Innes

Just assumed the Hearts game was on Sky Sports until I checked yesterday- absolute joke

The team needs to up their game on Wed for hearts for the whole game but are we capable of that at the moment, I've been waiting on it every game for a while though, mind u we did up it for ceptic( minus a 25 min spell) so here's hoping.

Keith Murray

If we had a decent finisher would have been over the first half - if you could merge colak with Morelos that would give us what we need 😀

Craig

Remember Fir Park last season when Balogun got sent off for a lunge, and then a Motherwell player made a similar tackle a few minutes later and only got booked? Weirdly no days of garment rending following that.

KAD87

Once again, completely agree with Andy. I heard people giving some of the team 7 or 8/10 for the performance Vs St Johnstone They were far from it.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the flagship David, Andy & Cammy👍 Happy clapper here - I think there were lots of very encouraging signs in the team. Cantwell, Tillman & Kent linked up well together and show signs of great potential as an intelligent, rapid attacking threat. Remember this was their very first game together, Cantwell hasnt played for weeks plus was making his debut. Tillman's work off the ball in covering back was at much higher level & intensity that he's shown before. Kamara, starting to show again why he was signed. The 2nd half refresh included Čolak & Hagi, both 'getting minutes in the legs' so it is understandable the team lost some rhythm & intensity. It wasn't a scintillating performance, agreed but there's plenty to be expectant & hopeful over in the attacking end.

Gazza G

Andy surgical as ever. Kamara is one of the roots of our problem. Fine player but no intensity. It’s not Gallus we need, but nasty. Like big John… but last season’s.

Alex Bryce

"Best in class" pmsl at that one :)

Hope we're getting a H&H live show in the new space in Edmiston House sometime later this year
