Very sad to hear about Billy, don't think he got much game time for us but obviously he was great in his coaching role. I do have memories of him playing in that very good Dundee United team in the late 80s, remember him making spectacular saves in his tracky bottoms. RIP Bily

That’s a bit of a shock to hear that news. Billy was my era and a really good keeper. I’m as confident as I could ever be that we will win the league cup and in turn plant a seed. Watching them recently their keeper and defence are weak and they’ve just sold their only decent striker. Beating them in the cup final boosts our confidence and as shown a few weeks ago we have nothing to fear. Going to be difficult to clawback nine points but 2 wins against them in the league really turns up the heat. We don’t look like losing at the moment and we’ve brought real quality in

Quite an update today , very sad news re Billy Thomson , far too you to be taken by the good Lord , our thoughts as the Rangers Family will be united in sending our condolences to his family and loved ones .

Colin , as an old pedantic Rangers fan when it comes to maintaining high standards , please , for the sake of the grammar police , past tense , present tense , we know Wee Krankie is destroying our education system , but it is up to us to uphold what should be high standards , which , as Rangers fans we expect our team to do , Mr Struth would turn in his grave should we ever fail to uphold these . Please don’t be offended by this somewhat trivial post 😂🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧

God rest Billy Thompson; great keeper

Goldson: is a great player and servant that we would never have got without Gerrard: if there’s better we can afford would love to see him: even Van Dyke looks like a plank of wood now
