Cheers lads good listen although bringing back the memory of villa scoring that winner against city still rankes with me. Steve McKenzie goal in that game was an absolute peach of a goal .

Really enjoyed the pod. Had no idea Rangers still hold a licence for the English FA! 👏🇬🇧

Craig Fryatt

Great show, if we still had an FA licence we as reigning Scottish Cup holders should have offered to take Man U’s place in 2000

Tom McDavid

Regarding your chat about Bury. They were managed by an ex Ranger Archie Montgomery when they won the FA Cup in 1900 & 1903.

Gareth bennie

The show referred to was called ‘The English Game’. It was on Netflix but I don’t think it’s available now as the lead actor is doing porridge for crimes against women

Lewis Wardrope

The 1973 final is still spoke greatly about in my family. We have a lot of Mackem’s in my family, so it was seemingly a big celebration Rangers & Sunderland winning the cup on the same day. 21 years before I came along though unfortunately

Great fact! There is an additional interview that I will release myself and link to in next episode's show notes, for a deep dive in to the formationa and progress of Bury AFC.
