Kenny McDowall finally got his wish in Feb 2015 and was relieved of the onerous task of coaching Rangers but not before more on-field misery. Gordon Durie took over but the team continued to show its many failings. Good news was coming though with the successful EGM.

Join Dave, Rob and David as they continue to chart this crazy period in Rangers history.

My word, I had completely forgotten about durie

CRAIG CASSELLS

You are not alone, I have no recollection of Durie being in charge, no matter for how brief a time.

Ross Stirling

I'm sure I recall Ian Black saying in an interview he was dropped for Andy Murdoch because his mum cut Ian McCalls hair. But he was dropped by McDowell. Could it be because he offered to paint his hallway and made an arse of it?

George Higgins

Essentially Falkirk stadium is 3 sided because of its proximity to the Grangemouth complex and I believe are not able to build a proper stand on that size.

Jack

Got that wrong lads, Durie was assistant to McDowall not caretaker. Match reports from last game before McCall v QotS still mention McDowall being boss

John Smith

Yeah it was a Si Ferry interview. He never named the player but he said he’s aunt cut McCall’s hair

The playoff predicament

Gordon Mac

Been waiting on this dropping to cheer me up

Damien Speirs

Durie was never caretaker I don’t think ?

William Ross

Are you (or Scott) ever going to tell us a little more about lee robinson?! I found his Facebook page and he does come across as a bit of conspiracy theorist /religious fundamentalist!

DAVID PARK

the McCalling conclusion

William Ross

I think there was enough there to join the dots - perhaps a visit from men in white coats with big butterfly nets for him soon.

Mark

Now here I am cheering myself up with the Ally Addendum. Funny how life works at times.

Steffen McAndrew

I had completely forgotten that Gordon Durie managed the club for a short period of time. Loving this series, warts and all.

Well thanks Davie, David & Rob for the most upbeat and enjoyable pod so far this week! Speaks volumes about the post Sunday mood! Zero recollection of Durie as manager, none, not one iota. And I wasnt boycotting, going as usual. Remembered after you mentioned it, but I'd never, ever have got the answer if asked. Remember Andy Murdoch breaking into the team, a small spark of hope in a dark time and that WAS some goal. McCall of Nature. Aye ok it was a bit better but still pi$h / $hit.

Rod

I must have missed an episode, when did you cover the abandoned Hearts game?

John Hammond

McCall the Whole Thing Off. The McCalling Card. Out of the Frying Pan, into the McCall-dron.

Bit long but - McCall Me, on the touchline, You can Call Me, Call me anytime (to manage your team)!
