Struggling to care at the moment. Hopefully listening to this will sort me out cheers

Norm

Stevie Harrigan👏👏👏

Michael Gray

Agreed with all you’re saying boys. Kevin- 💯 with you on Colak and Kent. And shitebag Kamara

Gregg

Interesting discussion - completely disagree with the captain discussion, I just don’t think it matters anywhere near as much as people seem to think. All about opinions

Sandy White

Kamara took the huff when we didn't sell him to Nice. Right then he should have been tossed out.

Stuart Mccoll

Absolutely spot on lads about the squad and Wilson.

Pedro

Amount of excuses from Alex is top tier. Walter Smith would have won, horrendous comparison. Hopefully Rashkin plays at the weekend. Even though he's only one player and all that.

James McConnachie

Did Richard Gough, Greig and big Amo matter? Tony Adams, Roy Keane etc. It sets the tone around the playing squad. Sends a message to the opposition. A lot about winning is about shaking off the loser mentality.

Richard Stewart

Good words from Steven. So glad he mentioned Tav and how this should be his last season. He is a big weakness defensively and others teams are taking advantage of both our full backs. Also, when has it been a thing that the captain has to take all throw-ins and free kicks. With direct free kicks, there’s no point Borna standing there, as the opposition know that Tav will pull rank and take the kick. Like Sunday and at the end of Europa Final, the opposition are not fooled into thinking that Tav will dummy the ball and leave it to Borna, or anyone else. It’s so predictable! We complain about the opposition wasting time, but how many times does one of our players pick up the ball to take a quick throw-in, and Tav runs up and demands the ball so he can take the throw-in, by which time the opposition are in position and everyone is marked.

Alex ffs mate … John lundstrum has played for 4-5weeks of his rangers career the slevering over him has never been warranted for the sake of a 5 week decent patch a year ago Was never good in the first place and every single rangers fan that thinks diff is kidding themselves on for the sake of a pub song Pish !!!!!

Pedro

I thought Matondo wasn't great but then I remembered we had a song about him so I'm not sure now.

Kev Armstrong

I have a theory that people get a song before they are any good becomes a jinx. Herrera Matondo There’s more and more

Gregg

Loved watching them all James aside from Greig- interesting how long ago they all played. Look around at the current captains - there’s very few of the above type. Not sure about other supports but sections of ours seem obsessed by it - not sure why. Don’t think it’s a thing outside the UK

Pedro

Apologies mate. I enjoy the pod. Not having a go, just can't believe some of your takes. It has to always be fine, all of the time. Also I think the other two are great.

William Jolly

Excellent pod, generally I don’t like negativity but this was an honest review.

stefan strzelecki

I think Kev and Steven have really articulated the majority of Rangers supporters feelings . Well done guys . Love this podcast 🇬🇧

Pedro

Always great to hear things from you and how things are alway really good actually but I love the Kev and Stephen insight so will temper my comments accordingly And as the comments say, people really like Kevin and Steven. Me too.

Pondo Sinatra

Cracking listen! Loved the passion & honesty! 👏🇬🇧

Brian Johnstone

No need to keep apologising lads. Too much apologising going at the moment from the club, management, players and not enough brashness and superiority over them.

James McNeill

Brilliant pod as always, no need to apologise it’s good to have different opinions. Some how got me feeling optimistic for today

Scott Watson

"He runs like robocop" 😀 Thank you very much gentlemen. I can imagine this pod wasn't the easiest you've ever done I steer clear of the maelstrom of negativity you get on social media after a defeat like this. Totally understand that some people need to vent their way through it, but it just doesn't do anything for me. I didn't think anyone on this pod was engaging in that sort of moaning - you all covered plenty of well-reasoned and well-deserved criticisms but that's different from just having a rant or reveling in misery Just as criticism is not complaint, consideration is not excuse either. I really hope that people don't listen to a question about, say, it being Beale's first cup final and jump to the conclusion that anyone is saying it doesn't matter that we lost, or we didn't have it in us to win or anything else. It's just another aspect to consider and the more directions you can look at something from, the clearer a picture of it you can get. I think all of you on this pod strike the best balance of this to be found in Rangers coverage anywhere I'm struggling to come up with a prediction for this one because I don't have a good sense of whether Beale is going to ring the changes or let the players redeem themselves. That's one sub-plot to this game that you maybe didn't cover, what will we learn about Beale from how he reacts to setbacks? Will he go relatively conservative because a slip-up would result in absolute uproar? Or go aggressive to make a statement? I think we'll probably get something more towards the latter, and it'll we'll win 4-1

Graeme Homer

Thank the lord Alex is on this or I would have given up within the first twenty minutes. I get everyone is miserable after last week, but does Stevie ever have anything positive to stay about Rangers? Even during the euro run last year he was miserable, he could have a successful career in writing Timmy porn

I’m not a doom and gloom merchant, I have no desire to be focused on the bad while ignoring the good however this week sums up what I have been feeling and saying for about a year regarding this group of players. This team at times has been excused, exempt from criticism and over hyped for some time based on flashes of performance but continually failed to deliver consistently. We all have our favourite players and those we dont relate to but I have found it incredible that our ‘star’ players are excused bang average at best stats while simultaneously being lauded as difference makers, Kent, Kamara, Sakala, Lundstrum, Morelos all deeply flawed yet to some you commit blasphemy if you point to their actual return. Kev summed it up perfectly. Yes we have players with talent, some their best days are now behind them, some are only ever showing potential but never consistency and some require perfect conditions to perform but far far too many can’t or wont deliver week in week out (or even for the majority of the 90 minutes) often enough. We go to the same guys, we play through the same guys, we have had the same guys for too many years now and teams have worked us out regardless of who is in the dugout. This team, the board, possibly even the club has gone stale and we now accept mediocrity and peddle excuses. My main issue is with Beale I just dont rate him the way others do. I’m not saying he’s rubbish or might not come good but like our bang average players we all seem in a rush to praise people for very little these days and to me he hasn’t done anything to merit the gushing praise he gets. Bar the results I would argue that not much has changed on the eye when you watch this team. Yes we have had periods of decent play but how much of that is down to the available players, the slightly more settled selections, player reaction to new manager or even just teams having a bit more of a go as they don’t fear us and being open? PEople claim he has got more out of Kent or until the last few games Kamara but has he ? What has he got as they are all on to provide exactly the same pitiful return in terms of goals and assists they have for the last number of years they have been here. The body of evidence isn’t a short sample, these guys are bang average with a track record of failure and disappointing the fans / manager. My big gripe is the nonsense he talks to the media, sound bites and pseudo soccer science jargon is great but we aren’t seeing much of it translate to the pitch. He gives contradictory messages about players, about style about selection and perhaps some like this new openness but for me you talk on the pitch and with performance not by holding media court. Like the players he doesn’t seem to get where we are, how people view us and the need to have steel. Too often we hear how players are great lads, he’s known them (and repeatedly picked them regardless of form) for years, how they are working hard and they will feature in the team then when Saturday comes they aren’t in squad, they let him down or they keep a new signing on the bench. Yet week after week he’s going back to a group he seems far too close too and haven’t actually achieved anything bar 55 which is now rapidly becoming an anomaly as opposed to a kick start season. I have been done with some of the ‘veterans’ in this squad for some time, sentimentality and for me a bit of rose tinted glasses for players has put us in a horrible position where we are predictable, toothless and stale. If the manager isn’t willing to talk less and take a real bold approach to the team selection going forward, the squad profile and shipping out deadwood I dont see this improving or him keeping his job. He like the players talks a good game but the stats, the table and the eyes dont lie. The way we have been playing are people really confident that things are vastly different or changing, some seem to be but I’m not. The excuses from all at the club need to stop, the squad needs culled of those who aren’t contributing but are on the huge wages, Beale can talk about big brave changes being needed, stop talking and show us you mean it.

Jamie Gourlay

The best pod on Heart and Hand. Thanks guys. I've been critical of Strider in the past but he has been really spot on for the last 4-5 weeks.

Angus Mackay

Great pod as always, lads, thanks for the time and effort. I think Kev called it spot on regarding the game, it was basically Gerrard's first OF game all over again - maybe he had a hand in that too. I empathise with Steven's pain, but for me the "burn them all" thing has gone way too far this week. We have a lot of room to work in the summer and recent signings (although the jury is still very much out on Matondo) have generally been promising, which suggests that the improvements made in scouting are bearing some fruit. Thanks again lads, always a great listen.

Andrew Lees

Rather than Indiana Jones, we sounded more like Marcus Brodie at the press conference
