I really appreciate the Union Bears efforts in creating an atmosphere but I'm not in favour of them trying to become more of a political movement. It's difficult being a Rangers fan at the minute with Celtic being so consistent. We don't accept ( we should never accept )second best but at the same time we just need to concentrate on being the best possible version of ourselves. Wilson while he has his faults isn't the complete disaster they're making him out to be in my opinion. The Union Bears going to war with the club won't help us in he long run.

Graeme McLeod

Don't believe that Beale "wants more" from Morelos and that's why he's not in contract negotiations with the club. We're not offering him a new deal because we know he's going and Beale's trying to spin it. Don't buy for a second the issue the club had was with the anti-police banners. Regardless of whether you support the ACAB sentiment or not, the club have allowed those in the past. Last week the club security were confiscating banners about Ross Wilson and Stewart Robertson in the Govan corner. If the only issue was with the ACAB stuff, the UB would have been let in with the Director Of Failure banner. As for the performance yesterday? We should be looking to play our next home Old Firm and our semifinal at Murrayfield - our performance have been dire since Beale returned other than two games in Edinburgh. The second half of the Killie game and yesterday were painful to watch.

I'm fed up reading about the Union Bears and their temper tantrums. I'm no fan of the polis, but do our "ultras" really expect to go looking for a scrap with Celtic's goons in broad daylight on a residential street and not get lifted for it? That's assuming the club are being truthful about the pig banner, I'm sure the UBs will issue a wall of text on a blue background if not.

Immediately uses google to find out what Sarah Cracknell is looking like these days.

Stewart Robertson

The Blue Brigade (sorry - Union Bears) need to wind their necks in.

Graham Macgregor

I’m not a fan of the ACAB stuff but I can’t help but feel the board are using this as a way to have a pop at the UB over the anti board protests but time will tell! Intro music featuring the rather lovely Sarah Cracknell however is something I am a fan off.

Ross Whitehead

Fingers crossed that Ofoborh gets back to full health soon. It must be incredibly hard to deal with that kind of thing.

Heart and Hand

I’m glad I’m not alone in being a fan of 90s songstress Sarah Cracknell.

Graham johnston

Maybe Ofoborh was having a pop at the medical department for all those caffeine injections he got when he arrived at the club 🤣

I like the noise the UB bring to the stadium, they have got anti-board banners in several times so I tend to believe it was due to the anti-police banner. I think the UB as a group have went downhill in recent years and have been acting more like petulant children over things like safe standing etc. They seem to get plenty of benefits from rangers like being at every away game when most season ticket holders struggle to get 1 or 2 games a season. I have no problem with them protesting against the board but I find myself agreeing with them less and less these days, I dont think they reflect the views of the wider support anymore.

Isn’t it incredible how fickle our fan base are and how a cup final defeat has many of their minds made up already. If the season started when Michael Beale came in then we would only be behind them in the league on goal difference. For me that’s progress given the squad he inherited and the serious lack of direction and confidence they had when he joined. That’s not to mention the spending power across the city. I have every confidence that once we clear out the players with the loser mentality in the summer then we will be a totally different animal next season.

Greg

This site is getting more like ff with the comment's.

John Fowler

I really, really hope no-one, especially any fans of our club, are calling Nnamdi Ofoborh a wage thief on his social media. That is disgusting and anyone doing it needs some decency knocked into them.

Gordon Bruce

I totally agree with this. The biggest problem we have at the moment whether we like it or not (and I assume we all don't!) is that Celtic are showing a consistency that is virtually impossible to match. Our form, points total etc would have us top of practically any other league in Europe- and by some distance. It's annoying us that despite winning every week,we are being thrown no bones whatsoever to chew on. A secondary issue is that I genuinly think is that there still a cloud hanging over us//hangover from Seville. I don't think as a support we have gotten over that disappointment due to how close we were to making history. And it might be sub consious rather than consious!. Had we got over the line that night I don't the feeling of unrest would be anything like as strong.

Colin Mathie

Ok i'll bite, i've seen it loads of times and had had no clue what ACAB meant.

KMS

Why are we letting the tail wag the dog re the union bears?, they are a tiny section who seem to want to bully their views and opinions over and onto everyone, if you have a difference of opinion you are called this, that, and subjected to timmy behaviour treatment. They are like a spoilt child who cannot accept the word no. Instantly throwing toys out the pram. I respect their right to do their thing, but it's a two way street. Maybe they should wind their necks in and thank the board for their own behavior, which has drawn more attention to their views, and banners that unfurling them at a match against Raith Rovers on a Sunday afternoon would have done otherwise.

Hendi

A superb performer in his day but his time has been and is now long gone. No man is bigger than the club, but Alfredo appears to thinks he is. He has been indisciplined off the park and too often on the park. I cant believe the patience thats been shown to him by the home support in last few years after he has continued to let us down.

Martin Davies

I think the vast majority of fans love the displays the Union Bears put on, but it's split with regards pyro and most of us older fans don't care much for the ultras scene, acab, graffiti, fighting for the flag, stickering everything, congregating in areas with a disregard for other fans who have tickets, the songbook taking us back decades, etc. Its all very juvenile. They really are their own worst enemy in campaigning for safe standing.

Graeme Homer

For me the UB are slowly doing the same as C1872 and turning the majority of fans against them. Pity as both started out so well as a great vehicle for us

Rona Bluebell

I didn’t know what ACAB was/is. But the family left Troon many years ago for the streets of Ebmra so …

Douglas Innes

The UBs have went after the manager about standards comments a few weeks ago and can't hardly go after board after investing millions so it seems to me Robertson and Wilson are easy targets for players not performing on the pitch it seems to me , none of us want to play 2nd fiddle to any team in Scotland but can anyone show me a successful business that flourishes under such negativity ??

Greg

Or just the same nonsense being spouted about the UB on both sites.

Heart and Hand

I’m sorry, that came across harsher than I intended. If you think there’s nonsense being said, explain why. The main rule we have on here is respect other people’s viewpoints. You may disagree with them, that’s fine. But rather than simply dismissing it, at least tell them why you feel that way. Ironically your comments are more like FF because you’re simply dismissing other views without explaining yours. If people are wrong about something, show them why.

Steve23

People are so entrenched in their own ideas and views of what it is to follow your football team, the 2 extremes create the most noise. For example, fans call UBs silly wee boys and chastise them for criticising the police or the board, the other side defends their position to the same extreme. They are mistreated and abused by the police, FACT, they follow football and buy into the ULTRAS scene and all that goes with it. ‘Traditional fans’ go to the game, sit down and watch the football, they can’t be arsed with the noise, the pyrotechnics, the drum and seat stealing at away games in particular. The disappointing thing is neither side see the others point of view at all. Everyone has a right to criticise the board and they have a right to criticise the Police if they are treated unfairly. Don’t dismiss the other point of view, discuss it reasonably and at least try and understand it on some level, even if you don’t agree with it. We are all Rangers fans, some fans can’t wait to jump on UB for anything negative and the UB need to have more respectful and listen to complaints from the normal fans. Crap such as calling UB wee Fanny’s and taking the side of the Police or the board without question is simply incorrect. Right or wrong, the pile on dished out to UB yesterday by some posters and the personal abuse against members, from people behind a keyboard was pretty sickening to read. If the board were trying to suppress the UB and divide the fans, they did a reasonably good job of it.

Raymond Paxton

Now I want to put on to "Tiger Bay" , not listened to St Etienne for years.

Tom

Think I only learned what ACAB meant with the ‘mostly peaceful’ riots in America in the past few years, don’t think it’s a good look for our club incidentally.

George Harrison

I completely agree … why many fans continue to support a guy who clearly isn’t giving his all for the club he supposedly loves (though we’ll never know for sure as he never does any interviews, even with RTV) is beyond me ! He’s an example of what is wrong with the club just now and the sooner we get rid of this distraction, the better.
