Man Utd v Bayern 1999 Champions League Final Liverpool v AC Milan 2005 Champions League Final Should be included in next week’s podcast. Also that amazing comeback by Barcelona v PSG in the 16/17 CL and probably even the Liverpool comeback against Barca in the 18/19 CL semi

Stephen Miller and his team have created an amazing archive for all generations. The first thing I’m going to search is all games as close to my birthdate and selectively watch them(I never watch defeats😊) that will give me 54 years to start with.

Stewart Thomson

absolutely fantastic Stephen. Looking forward to checking out the new website.

Tom McDavid

Brilliant listen. I always wanted to see the 1986 Glasgow Cup Final but if Stephen can’t find footage then no-one can.

Ross Thomson

Cannot wait to see this new website. My son's only 6 and just starting to get into Rangers. What a tool for young Bears once they properly get the Rangers bug.

I joined Facebook in 2012 and Stephens site was one of the first I joined and when I left Facebook in 2020 it was the only thing I missed. Really looking forward to this starting up.

LD

Unbelievable amount of work has gone into the Archives, well done all involved.

LD

Just a note, Monday is the 27th

Re the 2nd part of the pod I read a lot of history and social history is by far more interesting because you can put yourself in the shoes of the folk involved their experiences add the humanity to the subject. As for hearing stories from the older generation I used to drink in Harpenden and every Saturday for a couple of years there was a old boy dropped off by his daughter and we sat and chatted for hours. He had been at the 1928 Scottish cup final and told me all about it. But the most interesting was the little things like the songs he sung and the clothes he wore which I would never have known from history, what it was like to be a fan. He will be long gone now but he will live in my memories as long as I last.

The contribution that Stephen and the guys have made to the Rangers community has been absolutely fantastic. What an amazing collection. Oh yes and once you’ve finished with that Stephen, new Genesis website next please. 😂

Ross Gordon

This is going to be my new homepage! 😅 I’d also be willing to sign up to a subscription for extra content. I wonder if Stephen has ever had a look through the London Hearts website? I’ve always wanted something like that for Rangers and it sounds like this is what The Rangers Archives website is going to cover. It’s absolutely enormous (more a data website rather than hosting video) but it might give you some ideas for search categories or archive subjects for the future. Up until now, I’ve been using Fitba Stats for individual match line-ups etc which is great for accuracy but it would be great to have kick-off times, opposition line-ups etc. Amazing work Stephen & the guys, I really can’t wait to check this out!

Gary Brown

Amazing podcast guys. Thanks. Am SO excited to see the website Stephen, Billy & the guys have created and I know I will lose years of my life to it. (I think subscription to access certain content is perfectly valid too). This project is one of THE most significant events for the club support EVER! Congratulations to the guys on their achievements to date and everlasting thanks for all the phenomenal amount of love, dedication & hard work put into it then, now and in the future. The ability to easily access even a small amount of what is being offered opens a megaworld of Rangers history - all tailored directly to the individual and what they want to explore. It will take the curious and keen in thousands of different directions. Phenomenal achievement 👏👏👏👏

Stephen Millar

cheers Ross. Yes the London Hearts site is very good, I think you will enjoy this new site of ours..here's hoping

Hi Stephen, look forward to visiting your new website. I have a lot of old Rangers books, videos and programmes (1960's onwards) etc. which I'm sure you already have but they are just gathering dust in a cupboard. Do you know of any Rangers fan that would give them the love they deserve. I don't want any money just a good home for them

Andrew McAuley

Stephen, have sent you a PM through your Rangers Archives Facebook Page

Great show and discussion I’ve lived in the US since 1980 In those days I tried to pickup snippets on a short wave radio on a Saturday morning hoping to hear the results The LA times would have all the Scottish and English results in their Sunday edition I then heard of a tv and vcr technology called the multi system. This allowed me to view vcr tapes from anywhere in the world. So I would have my uncle tape anything he could get on rangers and send them over. I would then have parties where me and fellow bears would watch the Rangers. Then in the 90s we were able to watch live games by joining a supporters club Setanta sent us a box we would pay a subscription and we could see the games live Fast forward to today we can watch the Rangers at home, work , anywhere Stephens new archive seems to have made us complete as now we can look back Fantastic, thank you Stephen and your team for this Herculean undertaking Very much appreciated

The Rangers Archives on YouTube and Facebook are among my most visited web pages. The job Stephen and the guys do is magnificent.

Martin Davies

Well done Stephen and Billy. Really looking forward to seeing the new site. Always enjoy your YouTube footage.

Gregg

Fantastic - thanks from all the non social media bears!!! What a legacy, truly amazing effort

Pedro

This is outstanding, thoroughly excited about Mondays big launch. Congratulations on all the work done thus far and for sharing this with the Rangers family 👏🔴⚪️🟣

Ross Matheson

Enjoyed that and, in particular, the chat between David and Martyn after the interview. I watch my 8 year old inhale football information on a daily basis. He's very into Match Attack sticker collections and MAD FUT. It's interesting to see him talk about the older players. He knows far more about the legends than I could at that age and it's purely down to the internet. We didn't have instant access to find out about players from the 60s. He can tell you about Lev Yashin and all sorts. The B&W thing was definitely a disconnect for us as kids when our parents would tell us about the glory days whereas I can show him Laudrup and Mccoist in colour with Ibrox looking pretty much the same as he sees it when he goes. Here's a question for Davie and Martyn, has the lack of end of season videos (DVD or even as a streaming content) meant that the kids don't / won't retain memories as we did? I think the reason I retain so many memories of those years in the 90s is due to constantly watching the reviews for weeks on end after they come out. As it is now, kids will maybe watch highlights and then forget about the game and they're never really viewed in a group format for that season again.

Pedro

Looks like it is up 👀

Alan Duncan

Fantastic pod gentlemen. Thank you to Stephen and his team👏🏼

Graeme Price

Looking forward to the fifties! My mum was born 9th September 1950, and my granda was away at East Fife. Called in though to see how it went! 🤣 Would mean a lot to me if footage surfaced for that game, even just a programme.

Martyn Ramsay

Yes Ross, I think there’s something in that. Highlights tapes would get used over so the boxed reviews were untouchable. To such an extent that some goals are lodged in the memory with the soundtrack underneath!

Stephen Millar

we only go back to 1960 at the moment, the fifties and before will follow later. There was no programme published for the game v East Fife, but I will try and get you a copy of the match report.

Steve23

Fantastic show lads. I got the distinct impression that Stephen in particular will never really understand fully how vitally important and valuable his life’s work is to every fan out there. The stats are mind boggling and I actually get the fear at the thought of what if! What if Stephen and his team hadn’t done this! What if all of that wonderful history had been lost to the Rangers fans past, present and for generations to come. I hope the club understand and appreciate and recognize the work Stephen and the team have done. I would think there is a commercial value to the club. On the new website itself, early days for me but I have had a play around and it’s brilliant. Very intuitive, easy to search and find information and the content detail is excellent. Brilliant job from Billy, really first class. Brilliant guys, from a very great full Rangers fan, thank you.
