Antonio Conte’s rant is my new favourite thing ever

Scott Dickson

I think Vieira was living an incredible charmed life at Palace. Not having a shot on target in 3-4 games and 1 win in 5 months, he’d have been sacked if he wasn’t such a reputable player. Palace board probably a bit fanny dazzled like we were with Gerrard, but I think they’ve made the right move getting rid of him. Was Hodgson the right appointment when the likes of Dyche have already been snapped up? Would’ve loved to see Big Sam back from the dead for one last hurrah

Douglas Innes

Think Hodgson is the smart move In the short term as it means they can take their time over the next permanent appointment .... saves them employing a " name " In the highly unlikely event its championship football next season

Posted this on earlier one so apologies if you saw already! Do you reckon Conte will possibly take over at Newcastle in the summer? Although Howe has done well is it fair to say it would be a disappointment if they fail to finish in the top 4 especially when you consider how inconsistent the teams around them have been?

Strangely, I think if Conte hadn’t had this season he’d be a shoo-in there! I thought maybe Tuchel too but he’s going to Bayern.

I just get a feeling that while Conte had a poor season still could finish above Newcastle and the fact he is available it might be a perfect fit for him. Also would give Newcastle a “Name” who might attract a better calibre of player. Howe has done well but I suppose it depends on what the owners are really like and are they willing to give him time to build a winning team!
