Ross Harper

56 mins gonna be a bumpy ride.

Norm

Give Kent another contract and Rangers won't get another penny from me.

Grant MacLean

Promising signs but the team need to start winning against them. It goes without saying but you’d rather win ugly than lose like that. Ps Clancy is a disgrace.

Rona Bluebell

Plus point is we can see the new team emerging and you know who needs to go now

dotty 84

Ryan Kent is the worst player I've ever seen in a Rangers shirt. Money per performance. Wish he'd just f*ck off.

Jordan McKay

56 minutes? Oof. Lots of dirty laundry I hope. I was on the fence about Kent but if he can’t even get himself up for *these* games anymore then I simply don’t want him getting a new deal.

james whyte

Been all over the place about Kent but today has my mind made up. Needs to be allowed to leave. Ruins way too many positive situations with no final quality. First few mins has the chance to get a shot away, doesnt, loses the ball. Him and Alfie last few mins dicking about. We can surely find a player who has better quality, because its needed. He is costing us possible goals rather than creating them at this point for me.

Angus Mackay

Clancy is a cheat , folk in England asking how much the unwashed paid him off

David Campbell

Somebody at Rangers needs to tell the manager there was no handball but we need to go nuclear on the officials 1 up is a completely different game

KAD87

McGregor - time to go Tav - keep Goldson - keep Davies - needs someone holding his wee hand Barisic - when will Ridvan start? Jack - need to replace Raskin - starts every week Cantwell - starts every week Tillman - will maybe do a boost Alfredo - needs to go Kent - needs to go 4 or 5 first team starters required.

Tamus

Ryan Can't

Tamus

That was a riddy on the post match from the manager and the Captain - it hit George Michael on the cock

Bomber Brown

The worst ever? Not sure you really believe that. He was disappointing today for sure

dotty 84

For what we paid, yeah. 5 seasons and you'd struggle to name a dozen matches where you'd say he was the difference maker. A 6/7m flop. A career in EFL League 1 awaits.

Christopher Donnelly

Hard to disagree with most of this but, as much as I never thought I'd say this, Barasic has been arguably our most consistent player since the world cup, Papac like 7 out of 10 every week.

Lee Stewart

Beale has the tactics to beat them , just need the players now. Thought Raskin was good today and liked the way we got in their faces.

Thomas Miller

If you're basing it off the value we've extracted from him it's a decent shout. He's probably paid off the fee based off his performances in Europe, but he is an empty shirt and completely ineffective far too much of the time, particularly in these games. He doesn't show up in the big moments when we really need him to - and we need £7m players to do that.

RM

Nowhere near the worst ever but definitely time to go

dotty 84

15 domestic trophies he's played for, he's won 2. Being greedy with Morelos and Kent bids has screwed us.

David Bold

The last 3 or 4 seasons summed up today. Kent and Morelos simply not good enough. Kent's game ended after 2/3 minutes- we knew what we were going to get after that. Who sanctioned the signing of Davis? What was it based on? Definitely not performances on the field. If Wilson stays in his position next season, Celtic will become the world's most successful football team.

KAD87

I thought first half he was shocking on the ball and improved second half. You are right though on post World Cup form but if he is a starter why did we spend £5m on Ridvan?

dotty 84

Second most expensive Rangers players ever, 2 trophies out of 15 domestically. He should be hounded but since 2012 many fans have bowed down to being second best and accept dross like him.

Stillsaw

We are not serious about winning leagues tho. We spend less that them every year & we sign worse players than they do. Kyogo is a goal machine and we struggle like fuck to score.

Stillsaw

£10m on matondo, Yilmaz & Davies is an absolute fucking joke and heads should roll

Stillsaw

Davies hadn’t played football in over a year when we thought “aye he’s defo worth £4m”

Graham johnston

We did enough today. The ref was awful. Simple. Need to improve next season and keep moving forward 💪

Neil Johnston

If Clancy gives it as a goal there is no way VAR pulls that back.

Michael Adamson

Club definitely need to go nuclear on Clancy, missed the biggest chance in 2019 in a game we won. We are letting everyone down connected with Rangers if we do not bring his top flight refereeing career to an end. If we don't he will continually screw us and help the beggars.

Ryan Stewart

Gerrard always talked about winning the boxes in these games. That was certainly the case today. Celtic have killers in attack who punish mistakes and are ruthless. Kyogo had 3 chances today and had the ball in the net 3 times. One being offside. Compare that to Morelos and Kent for us. Any talk of new contracts for both should end today. We will not win the league if they make up 2/3 of our attack

Neil Johnston

Callum McGregor was a second referee in that game btw. Nevermind his getting away with 4 fouls he was constantly pointing and bitching Clancy about at any flash point.

Stillsaw

He had 4 shots. 3 goals (1 offside), 4th off the line. Absolute joke man

David

Spot on as usual on Kent, Morelos, Clancy and Walsh and their fear campaigns against refs. This is why we need change at the top. We will only start to beat them consistently on the pitch when we start to beat them in the boardroom.

Greg

It's a fucking wild take that the Morelos chance was some kind of sitter.

Bomber Brown

Double down because your blinded by anger at the moment all you want. Now you’re chucking in conditions which still don’t make it true. Ryan Kent has been hit an miss and it’s time to go but to suggest he’s the worst player you’ve ever seen in a Rangers shirt is an amazing observation.

Jonny Lawrie

Cathartic, thanks lads. So frustrating

William Hughes

Only asking for decisions we deserve. No more no less. You just know before a balls kicked that Clancy and Walsh will give us nothing and that is completely unacceptable. The team needs refreshed next season. A reliable hitman - who makes the difference in these games - is something we've missed for some time.

Martin Davies

Just on Calum McGregor, that was only his 2nd, yes 2nd, booking of the season. Immunity to do as he pleases. Also 2nd of the season for O'Riley and Mooy. They get away with stuff no one else in Scotland gets away with.

David Bold

He 'plays' for Liverpool, let's spend 4m on him. Liverpool had no intention of ever playing him. It would be like Rangers signing a player from Alloa for 60k that would be 6th choice CB and might play in a cup tie against Bonnyrigg Rose.

Doug Young

Been a loooong time since he did anything that influenced a game considering the way he is lauded.

Graham Espie

Unbelievable. Full fucking stop…

Ross Kerr

Kent and Morelos can move on. Why was Scott Wright brought on with hagi and Arfield on the bench?

Ryan Stewart

Aye I wasn’t counting the one off the line cause it was already given as offside 🤣

Graham johnston

One point that will be missed today. The amount of times Celtic players waved their hands around to get their crowd going. Considering they're top of the league and flying that's ridiculous. In similar circumstances we'd have had Ibrox bouncing. Hardly worth celebrating I know but it's the big difference between us and them. That lot wouldn't have survived the last 10 years if things had been reversed

Michael Gray

He’s had an easy ride for years. One good performance every couple of months just isn’t good enough. £7m?! We simply have to look at markets with better value

KAD87

Where is Matondo btw?

Neil Wilson

Nothing has changed from what we already know. The team needs a refresh. Management team know that and are far down the line bringing in replacements. I do hope the praise or blame on the recruitments is equally distributed across the management team and not used as a justification for pre existing views. Today was the most yellow cards those scumbags have received all season in one game and it was still probably half a dozen short of what they should have got. The environment they've created within Scottish football is ridiculous and will take a while to dismantle.

Callum Dinnen

It's the sort of chance you need to take to win big games, and Morelos constantly comes up short against them in that regard.

Alan Byers

Good pod lads, delivered in a manner which I feel will resonate with many bears. I am personally still sore about how easily we gift these bastards goals and how poor we are in the final third. Not even going there with father Clancy. NS.

Martin Davies

This group of players have the look of guys who think they are hard done by, they have the look of guys that think they're unlucky. In a one off game, refereeing decisions or break of the ball can go against you, but with this group, it's not a one off. I wouldn't be disappointed to see anyone in the squad leave with the exception of Raskin, Cantwell, Tillman and probably Lawrence. I'm absolutely done with Morelos and Kent. They can't even give us 15 league goals between them. Simply not clinical enough.

David Tod

Thanks guys.It was cathartic.Only place to go after a loss.

Martin Davies

I liked him at the start of the season. A goal threat from midfield, eye for a pass and a wee nasty streak.

Christopher Donnelly

I'd honestly have no issues in seeing Ridvan play every week, especially when we've spent a fortune on him as well but if your being fair to Barasic he's done very little outwith having a baby to be dropped. Either way this team is needing gutted come the summer!

aldo adens

Can any one 100% say hand on heart what beale and his backroom teams style of play is take out away to both teams from the capital in all the rest can any one say for sure his style of play. Today was hard as much as i think ref was poor and the descision with the disallowed goal still baffles me that does not change how poor a reported 4 million quid centre back for 1st goal cant see there striker is behind him and he has no clue and it cost us yet again and 2nd goal am sorry why does a centre half think its ok not 2 play a ball out for a corner instead ov trying to play a header down to borna to start an attack for a reported 4 million in our country is not good enough and hopefully today highlights the numours times davies gets caught like that and at times gets away with it the guys understanding ov what is in and around him in games this season has scared me and today especially for 1st goal highlights it massively. 3rd goal for me is school boy stuff but why is ball turned back in to souttar in 1st place.

Callum Dinnen

Ryan Jack has gotten off incredibly lightly in the analysis of Celtic's 3rd goal. Look at the time he has and space he's in when he gets the ball from Barisic and ask yourself why the fuck he ends up playing a suicide pass to Souttar, who is being pressed by both Kyogo and Jota. Souttar doesn't execute the pass well (understatement of the season), but the decision to go back to McGregor is the correct one because Jack has played a ridiculous ball in the first instance and put Souttar under needless pressure. Similar to the point David made about McGregor, we can't continue to carry a midfielder like Jack who is incapable of taking the ball on the half turn and driving the team forward.

Martin Davies

I think Ryan Jack gets off lightly full stop. We regularly hear the term "loser" labelled at Tav, Goldson, Kent, Morelos, etc, but it's never used in the same sentence as Jack. He's been around for number of years now and has the grand total of 2 winners medals to show for it. If he gets a new contract, it's more for his home grown status than his ability and contribution.

Pedro

Good podcast on a tough day guys.

Andy McGowan

I thought myself and is symptomatic of his preference to turn back than forward, but it's still a safe pass that shouldn't be ending up as a goal chance for them, , the blame lies with Souttar

Callum Dinnen

It wasn't a safe pass in the slightest, Souttar has to try the pass he does because he has no time to take a touch as he is about to be hounded by 2 Celtic players. Like I said, Souttar fucks the pass, but he shouldn't have been put in that position by Jack in the first place who has time and space to do something positive but instead passes the buck.

dotty 84

Name me a player who's cost similar and had the luxury to hide constantly for 5 seasons, never dropped and deliver just 2 trophies, just to note, he's scored 3 goals this season alone. TAF had a goal record of 1 in every 2 and wasn't deemed good enough. That's the standards that have gone. Season ticket holder in GR for 15 seasons.

CRAIG CASSELLS

Finally I hope those H&H podders who defend Kent ad nauseum admit that his time is up. That is now two OF games in past 6 weeks in which he has been anonymous. Add in his horrific goals and assists and he really is a player who gets an easy time of it from our support where anyone else performing so poorly would get hammered.

John Hammond

Raskin played fine I thought, but to say he was Man of the Match with no discussion is harsh on our captain who scored two goals and tried to almost single-handedly drag us back into that game.

Alastair McGeoch

I was raging watching the game but with time to digest, this game just reaffirmed what we already knew. This squad was built to peak and win 55 which we did and then the squad should have been broken up and refreshed which we didn’t. We went to Parkhead earlier in the season and our arses completely collapsed both tactically and with the personel on the pitch. Todays performance was much improved on then particularly tactically, I do think Beale has the measure of Ange tactically but we don’t have the personal to execute it. We need to refresh the spine of the team (GK, 2xCB, 1xmidfield, 2x striker ) with letting Kent, morelos and probably lundstrum along with roofe, Wright etc go. I wouldn’t be sad to see the back of Davies also. Summer transfer window is key as it always has been since Beale came in. Now, can we avoid a whitewash and beat them in the semi? I see signs we can but it needs all players to be firing. What’s the bet Clancy gets the semi…..?

AGS

Any player out of contract at the end of this season should be let go no re-signing of anyone

Colin Mathie

What it ultimately comes down to is this, they have a clinical striker, we don't.

Andy Ross

Thanks for the analysis lads, but struggling to understand that Tav, with 2 goals, and almost a third, was not your MOM, notwithstanding that Raskin had a great game.

Ally Mair

I’ll rationalise the game in the morning I just want to say Callum Mcgregor is a wee prick in the mold of Scott brown , the media love him as this heroic Scotland legend I’d love for a 25 year old souness to smash him up in the air , he hates us and it’s about time we started to return the sentiment

Colin Mathie

McGregor was Mr Mcflappyflap today, the amount of times he should've caught the ball and didn't was ridiculous.

Lance Grant

Look you guys always do this fairly raw after a game. Social media judges players in the craziest way. Tillman at 20 and as the player we just now expect to dominate an opposition get pelters because he alone didn't win the game - crazy. Souttar makes a bad pass, but a pass that 95% of goalies would have rushed and got to, in his 2nd start of the season - he should be sold. Morelos if the VAR gods had allowed would have had a goal and who knows what impact that would have had on the game - but he's now just a latter day Kris Boyd. This outcome was driven by decisions that were very questionable. Yet we'll judge it post those decisions and slaughter the very players impacted. We have to be the most bizarre fanbase ever. Had today been a reverse and they lost, the speed of the reaction, meltdown and calls for an enquiry would have been instant.

Gregg

He might do a lot of things or not as the case maybe but he doesn’t hide

Billy Forrester

Wasn’t a safe pass, it was a ludicrous pass with no pace on it, Jack as much to blame in my eyes and he was below standard today all game in my eyes, gets off very lightly by our favs but he was shite today

Gregg

Social media is best avoided full stop - people are fucking mental on it. Utter garbage for the most part

Doug Young

Two set-pieces don't for me change what was a pretty average performance from Tav. At least Raskin looked like he gave a fuck

Billy Forrester

Kent and Morelos can happily go at end of season and I’d seriously think twice about paying 5 million for Tillman, he hasn’t done it against them in any game and for me doesn’t work hard enough for the team to justify that outlay, yes he has ability and can score against the rest of the SPL dross but in the games that matter I’ve seen nothing from him, not for me. Huge clear out this summer, Arfield, Kamara, Wright Helander all gone, question marks over Lundstrum as he slows us down, Matondo is shite but who will take him off our hands with the wages he will be on, Jack doesn’t drive us forward and influence games and rather a side or backwards pass and Barisic is one dimensional and for me can go too. Huge change and the old guard can disappear with a thanks for your efforts but we are moving in a new direction with younger hungrier players like your raskin and Cantwell etc

Euan Dover

So sick and tired of getting beat by them. So sick and tired of the same old faces in our side as well

Jamie Kirk

A man down with Kent. Would be better with Sakala or wright who at least do the simple things right. They may not have the moment of magic kent can produce but I would rather a 7/10 than a 10/10 once every 10 games.

Jamie Kirk

Ryan Kent is a fraud. Yes he can beat players and change a game in an instant. We know he can we have seen it. But we haven’t seen it enough. He does it once a month if that and that’s not what we need. The difference between an average player and a good one is not so much the difference in ability. They can both share the same ability. But the good player shows the ability week in week out. The average player displays their ability now and again. Kent is average. We have all held onto the hope he was going to put together a run of good performances after a 10/10 performance against a Motherwell or Aberdeen but the truth is he isn’t goof enough to be consistent. Give me a 7/10 every week over a 10/10 every 6-8 weeks. Basically playing with 10 men when Kent plays.

Spoon

Agree with lots of the opinion bar that this is new, the ‘star’ men have been under performing for a few seasons it’s not new. The worry isn’t that we have kept a stale squad it’s that the manger keeps picking and defending the guys who fail week in week out. You have to question his judgement as he isn’t changing personnel or tactics and we aren’t blowing everyone bar then away which might have been indicative of the gap narrowing we struggle to score vs most teams. I don’t think the makeshift defence was bad but it was clearly not established and we did make a few individual errors. I want to see real change and want realism from the manager around the failings or this will simply continue. Very much suspect the anticipated turnover won’t happen, really don’t believe we have the funds.

Scott Hamilton

We've started today with 4 that are out of contract in the summer and another that's on loan. To still be relying on so many of the same players from 4/5 years ago, despite proving time and time again they're not up to it is absolutely mental. Big decisions need to be made immediately on the value of continuing to play players that realistically shouldnt be at the club next year. If they are deemed better than the players with contracts why is Wilson not held to account?

Euan Dover

It’s like we’re still expecting him to burst into form and be an absolute star. It just never happened, not even really during 55. He’s not done anything we wouldn’t have got from a 2 or 3m player. Usual 5 assists, 5 goals a season return. Every year. He’s literally in the team every week and is an empty shirt most of the time. Such a weird situation.

Alan

It's like making the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome. Another 2 games to go and another 2 games of humiliation to come. I can't remember a season of such disappointments and I have been following Rangers for over 40 years. Truly depressing.

John Breen

Ryan Kent is a waste of a perfectly good Rangers jersey

Stuart Borland

Thanks guys. I had the pleasure of watching the game with the Toronto rangers supporters club. Crap score but great blokes. Listening to this now on Toronto island

C. J

Kent, Morelos, Kamara, Borna and McGregor are absolutely past it. Punt the lot of them.

John Davidson

Clancy was shite; our players were pish. Lose the semi and Beale is in trouble.

chris smith

We need for next season …2 goalies, a centre half better than Goldson, two centre mids on a par with Raskin, two centre forwards far better than Morelos and two wide forwards better than Kent at his best. We cannot give new contracts to any of the expirees.

Andy McGowan

I thought it could be Tav but it would have been a moot discussion so didn't raise it and I was too busy thinking about having a bath with the toaster.

Billy Forrester

Think a centre half better than Souttar or Davies be more like it, Goldson ain’t perfect but by far the best central defender we currently have and that’s saying something, Davies us a liability

chris smith

Better than Goldson means that Soutar and Davies dont play unless the top two are injured. We dont need another CH to come in to ‘compete’ with Soutar and davies, that is the point.

Douglas Innes

i felt our midfield 3 was non-existent today didn't do much right didn't do much wrong but largely ineffective the whole game , celtic know our weakness is out wide but our team and manager/coaches seem blind to this celtic have no height so they're never going to lumping in balls from out wide like we do & its always the same get to the by-line and cut the ball back but we never deal with it ....... Beales going to need a big broom and the fans are going to have to be patient

Hoggy

I watched the game with the Benimar True Blues in Benijofar, near Rojales. Company was great. However both Rangers and Celtic were slack and poor. They punished us, we gift wrapped goals for them and missed chances. Bottom line. From the Celtic bin fire of summer 2021, they have significantly improved and we’ve regressed. The amount of mentality scarred players in our squad is evident. And the clear out required. That said. Clancy is at best hopeless. At worse, a cheat.

David_Davy_Dave

Re VAR, just step back and ask is it reasonable a game with 5 goals and that many incidents doesn’t have one instance of the ref being asked to review footage? Of course it’s not

KAD87

Genuinely where is Matondo? Is he injured?

Simon Botterill

Some reasonable performances blighted by some shocking mistakes for two goals. We still need a complete overhaul in attitude on and off the pitch, I will never advocate to adopt their victim status approach but we must have some strategy in the media or on the pitch. It's painful how passive we are and once again we allowed a cheat in Clancy do his work. An active Chairman in trying to reform a rank league, Kevin Thompson character within the ranks to bring some game management to match days and three to five starters who can play but will not accept errors or timid performances within the team or from the likes of Clancy. This repetitive story is boring now.

William Hughes

Not heard much about when Alfredo is getting the jersey pulled off him from a corner in the 51st minute at 1-1. Possibly even a hand ball from Alfies header? Was VAR working today?

Billy Forrester

Raskin was non existent, what gave u watch mate, the front 3 were why we lost that game, failure to take chances and Ryan kent the disappearing man yet again

mark wyper

Nick Walsh can't be the ref for the semi final so who will it be

mark wyper

Calum McGregor is definitely the new Scott brown and no one can deny it although they will

mark wyper

Agree David you can see that McGregor is old you can see by the way he came off his line today

Gregg

Best get that memory checked pal - in all seriousness

mark wyper

Totally agree with your summation near the end of the pod David wecant fuck about anymore we need too be ruthless now if the players at Ibrox aren't good enough get rid we can't fuck about anymore .

Very Good Joinery

I enjoy the show, but, The worst part of it is the horrific rendition of the starting line up. It needs dropped. There is no1 on this platform, that doesn’t get the starting team via whatsapp or socials

Douglas Innes

Don't disagree with your point about our attack but read what I wrote " our midfield 3 didn't do much right didn't do much wrong " I think its then safe to say they were " non - existent " as they never influenced the game or what did I miss that they influenced the game ?? Its only an opinion

stefan strzelecki

I think the team is not to the standard required. The assistance of the officials to cektic has a far greater influence than we recognise. I think it deflates our players confidence in winning the game, and ignites their belief . Why wouldn’t it be the case. The help that club get from officials across the season is ridiculous. I’m so glad our club have officially lodged a formal complaint .It damages the integrity of football

Graham Roy

It’s been clear for at least the last 18 months we needed a new striker. Warning signs were there when Having to play Aribo up front! If we have a Defoe type goalscorer up front we win that yesterday! Is it any surprise the last time we had a player like that we won the league?!

Stuart Porter

Third goal sums up Ross Wilson’s recent record. A half match fit centre back who IMO isn’t good enough for us thrown in makes a daft pass back to a goalkeeper who despite being HOF worthy should have been politely asked to leave last year. A better replacement of either and that doesn’t happen.

Bradley johnson

We’re not getting 4 million back for davies

Maca82

From the media, refs, governance this league is set up for one thing and one thing only, that mobs dominance and banking of champ league funds. Sure we made mistakes but time after time we can see the games a bogey here whether it’s zoom trophy’s, moving games for selection issues, mental ref decisions that avoid scrutiny vs days of Cantwell didn’t get elbowed in the face hard enough it’s done as fair 11 vs 11. I’ve supported Rangers my full 40 plus years tickets, trips, strips the lot but this season at the request of my nine year old I’ve been at the Etihad more than Ibrox purely to enjoy fitba without the feeling of what the point. I’m not sure how things change it’s so deep rooted now. Do our club or other clubs even want change?

Scott Tolmie

Disagree with a few things. No chance I’d let davies go, 1 mistake in how many games, gk could have done better with all 3 goals but he’s a protected species, tillman was decent, stopped McGregor dictating the game, got forward when he could and won free kicks in good areas, Ryan kent, there’s your problem, done nothing in final 3rd and chucks in to easily. Morelos decent but not mobile enough. Gk for me though should be binned pronto.

Jack Mair

I’m sick of getting beat from a team that just tries harder. We need to solve riddles to get a shot off yet we gift them goals. If goldson was in the team they goals don’t happen the 1st goal the back line would be 5 yards further up the park and not sitting deep. Kent is far too hot and cold in these games. Tillman still doesn’t seem to understand what an old firm game is. Cantwell and raskin I hope we build the team round them

dotty 84

Exactly we've been done over doing business with Liverpool 10m+ on 2 duds. Then add in the dugmeat loanees we got.

Gregg

Agree re Tilman - thought he had a decent game. The improvement from him defensively/ winning the ball back is marked and and shows at 20, he’s very coachable and has levels to go through. The price we will hopefully pay is for both the player he is and the potential/ likely improvements. This is his first season of top flight football - I really like the kid.

Robbie McCarroll

Yeah didn’t look like a foul in real time would have been more sensible to let it go and have VAR check it can’t go wrong that way think Clancy had the whistle ready for it don’t think that happens if the stadium has away fans.

Jimmy Price

Up until this game I was willing for Kent to get a new contract. Not anymore!
