Goldson has also made some horrendous errors in this game. I honestly don’t think this entire defence isn’t good enough, not to mention the rest of the team. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they have guaranteed CL group money and will have at least double the budget that we have. Talk of closing the gap is fanciful imo. Expect them to go further away from us.

The board made the decision to bask in past glory’s when they should’ve been more ruthless with Gerrard in letting him keep this team together: recruitment has been horrendous but even entertaining notions of keeping guys like Jack Kent etc will get us nowhere: if we’re a buy low sell high club then we need to do it as letting guys run contracts down is just madness
