Reckon we need two number 9’s in the summer as I would like to hope that Roofe will be away (probably somewhere on loan to run down his contract). One undisputed first choice and someone to scrap with Colak for a spot on the bench..

Neil Wilson

Agree with Beales comments. We all know what positions need strengthened and the quality of players that are needed to win consistently. We can probably have a conversation about one or two, but we also know the people who need to be moved on. I used to have a mate who went to Stirling University. Great chippy near it if I remember correctly.

David I will go on my high horse, our inability to shoot from distance or first time, is part and parcel of why we’ve a low goal difference. This is not new, at AGMs when you could talk to managers, both McLeish and Walter’s reply was, “ we try to get them to shoot, but they don’t do it” Sorry but it’s a managers job whether it’s past or present at training to get them up to speed on this ability. We’re underneath the gantry where you possibly view the game, and you’ve possibly heard the cries of, “For F Sake Shoot!. We watch week in week out slow laborious passing giving teams plenty of time to park the bus, is it any wonder there’s an apathy from the support. Rant Over!

Brian Hodgson

David, the opening track sums up exactly how I'm feeling!

David Campbell

Surprised to hear not many listen to the DU I don't think I've missed a single 1 a fantastic show that rounds up the news without wondering if it's legit or bs keep up the good work lads and ladies it's very much appreciated. 👍

Scott Tolmie

Good pod, one thing we need to change big time is our manager after games being so nice about the refs performance, say it how it was, horrendous

Graham Jones

We’re not going to get those breaks you talk about if the officials are incompetent at best, or corrupt at worse. As far as I can see we don’t have any strikers who are good enough for what we need. It’s fine to have someone who’ll score twenty goals a season in most leave games, but can’t do it at the next level. We need a goalscorer that can lift his levels for OF games and European ties.

Tamus

I genuinely thought today's tune was gonna be Clancy is a B**tard by Billy and the Bollox

Doug Young

Very surprised to hear that too. I eagerly await the DU every day and studiously ignore other less-trustworthy avenues of news.

Graeme McGregor

Clancy never made any mistakes. He knew exactly what he was doing. Blatant cheating and should never referee another match involving us.

Colin Wieland

Leaving Clancy aside and that not easy, we again make it easy for that lot. In my opinion, these are the players who's time for a number of reasons should be up. McLaughlan, McGregor, Barasič,Helender, B Davies, Souttar (Opinion not based of Saturdays horrific fuck ups alone), S Davies, Wright, Kamara, Lundstram, Kent, Arfield, Colak and Morelos. Retaining cup won't change any of that.

Colin McL.

If Clancy was simply a poor referee then mistakes would impact both teams. But they don’t. Not only does he hold a bias against Rangers but he has an additional dislike of Morelos and it influences his decision-making. In other words, he’s a cheating ****.

Still getting over the disapointment of the weekends game but at least we kept up with them..loved Tavs show of encouragement in the tunnel coming on at the second half..well done Captain reaching your 100 goal pity it was not at Ibrox so we could celebtate it more with you...as for var it only works fairly if its a ref who is totally proffessional and unbiased...Sfa need to look at these descions and who is calling them if not once again Scotland is going to be a utter embarresment in the football world. Thanks David for breaking away from your easter holiday to put on your show. Roll on next weekend and back to Ibrox.

Rose Mcloughlin

Sorry for spelling mistakes spotted once I posted this..need to slow down tapping my fingers away in a hurry...happy easter everyone.

Martin Davies

There's no way Kent or Morelos should be offered new contracts. Our biggest issue from the minute Gerrard took over has been scoring goals. We've tried to add goals to the squad with Defoe, Lafferty, Roofe, Itten, Colak but the problem is that Morelos and Kent, nailed on starters in the front 3 for the past 4 years, simply don't score enough goals. They are a major reason for our lack of silverware, as harsh as that sounds. That mob have had a conveyor of reliable number 9s who score 20+ and wingers/attacking midfielders who get 12+. We've never had those figures from Morelos and Kent. I hasten to add that I like both. Morelos has given us some brilliant moments but he's never hit the heights since his red card at Parkhead in 2019. And Kent if anything has regressed - they were once terrified of him but no more.

Robin Wemyss

Gew years ago i went to Hearts vs Auchinleck Talbot and Clancy was the ref. He was absolutely horrific that day got at least half a dozen easy calls wrong that day. He is simply an abysmal referee

William Hughes

The evidence over the seasons with Clancy is inescapable and cannot simply be overlooked. We knew exactly what was happening on Saturday before a balls kicked. He will not officiate a Rangers game without incident. That's unacceptable.

Iain MacDougall

Did VAR tell Clancy to give the easy decision perhaps?? Beale, other than the Jota hand ball, is bang on it as well. Full belief that he will get the job done and I like that he states 5 or 6, possibly 5 or 6!! Onwards we go as always!!

Douglas Innes

Not just me then that had that thoughts about our midfield on Saturday " didn't do much right didn't do much wrong " but too many players were below that ......

Stephen

I always wonder if the amount of people listening to the daily update goes down after a bad defeat. It sometimes takes me until the Wednesday before I can face hearing about rangers when we have lost!😃

David Campbell

After a defeat is tough I take comfort in the fact others feel similar to myself cause usually the wife tells me am going mad🤣 a little bit of reassurance goes along way sometimes.

Colin Ferguson

I live for Mondays DU & FS after match weekends... But the DU is the one show (bank holiday or not.) I need to hear. It gives me my teddy bear fix.. Keep up the good work David.

Rona Bluebell

One of my favourite songs. I’m off to listen to more and wallow in my misery.

Colin Wieland

Agreed. Roofe was an oversight. Matondo, I had completely forgotten he existed. Beale talks about 5 or 6. We need 9 or 10.

David Baillie

Given the history of private investigators being employed to dig up dirt on referees with a perceived Rangers bias, is it inconceivable that the same process could be used on any official so that they could bribed, blackmailed or coerced into favouring a particular team? Or am I being paranoid? When I look back to that “Katic” game at Parkhead and the number of remarkable decisions that were made I often wonder.

David Baillie

Hi Colin, totally agree with your player assessment. I would even throw Hagi into that group. I think 3 transfer windows is a more realistic timeframe for Michael Beale to sort out this squad and hopefully also promote 2 or 3 youngsters.
