For personal reasons, Martyn has opened up the archives with a show that was actually requested by many back in the summer of 2019. With the help of his two friends, Steven Campbell and Alan Marshall, the boys try and make sense of the worst Rangers years with some gallows humour.

For Albert.

Jeezo, I've just made the connection with the name. Alan was a coach in the year below at my boy's football club. Sorry for your loss Martyn. It's such a terrible shame.

Sorry for your loss Martyn, thank you for sharing the podcast with us all a lovely tribute to a great bluenose. God bless you Alan may you have peace. Thoughts and prayers to your family and all who loved you. 💙

Alan Bradley

So sorry to hear this Martyn, condolences to Alan’s family and friends. I’m sure that you’ll ensure that moaning at ball boys and occasional poor Gers performances will continue in the years ahead. Stick in there pal 💙

I didn't know Alan well, more a friend of a friend but we went to the same school and he was genuinely notorious as being Rangers to the core! I hadn't seen or heard from him for years and then his voice popped up on the network a few years ago discussing Euro trips to the back end of nowhere, I was not surprised. A tragic loss, thoughts have been with his family and friends for weeks. RIP Alan.

I believe Alan was a dentist and was supposed to be my new dentist taking over from my old one. I’m quite saddened at this now as I just think how good a conversation we could’ve had every time I visited for an appointment.

Laura McCrimmon

Such a lovely tribute this morning, condolences to all Alan's family and friends. We had the pleasure of having Alan as our family dentist and he really did make the visits so much more enjoyable and especially for our kids. They hated going to the dentist prior to having Alan and literally Lucas couldn't wait to go and chat about rangers with him, he made him feel so at ease and he always came out with a smile. Even young lily would love to tell him about the players she had met. Such a sad loss 💙

Lynsey Roddy

A lovely tribute Martyn. I listened this morning on the way to the funeral service for Alan. I knew him through his mother-in-law who's a close friend. A lovely guy who'll be very much missed by all his family and friends 💙

Jamie Milligan

Lovely tribute. May Albert rest in peace.

A beautiful intro, Martyn, only bettered by the programme itself. This is what football supporting is all about: it’s not really about tactics and formations; it’s the laughs at the daft things and the memories with mates you’ll never forget. I don’t know any of the guys, but they have provided a fantastic, life-affirming hour. Truly saddened by the reasons for the show’s repeat.

Keith Kettlewell

Absolutely tragic, rest in peace Alan. You will always be one of the people 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Went to school with Alan and played for milngavie boys club with him for years. Was an absolute monster of a player btw. Without doubt the biggest bear I have even known. Randomly was clearing out the other week and found a picture of me, Alan and another milngavie boy with the 3trophies at ibrox after the treble win in 1999. RIP Marshall mate
