As Michael Beale begins to look ahead to Hampden and next season, we return to Ibrox to face the surprise package of the season, St Mirren.

The Paisley side are coming off the back of two highly impressive results and are on course for a historic top-six finish.

Alex and Steven provide The Preview.

I will be disappointed if we don't use these remaining games to find something new. We know now that Kent, for example, will offer us nothing other than he has all season- sweet FA. Sick and tired of seeing the same toothless frontline.

Great chat, thanks both.

Interesting listen guys. Agree on frustated more than annoyed after last weekend.

Awesome preview. When the next SPFL show guys ?

Regarding the European places, if St Mirren get it then they deserve it, but objectively I think Scotland needs it's city teams to be performing regularly in group stage football. If you look at the likes of Austria, it's uncompetitive with Salzburg winning all the time. But would you bat an eyelid if Rapid, Austria Wien, LASK, Wolfsberger or Sturm Graz were in one of the group stages? Scotland won't have more teams competing for titles, but more depth and stability in positions 3-6 is better for the league. If another team can do that then great, but structurally it's likely to be, and should be, one of the city teams.

How much did they win off the contents of the dossier??

The athletic did a great article on why Gerrard left. Rightly or wrongly that's where we are with finances and it will always be a challenge to compete.

Unpopular opinion but I’d rather Aberdeen got 3rd place That’s guaranteed Europa Conference group stages for them (assuming they don’t get through qualifiers for Europa League) Hearts are the only Scottish team though for me with any chance of getting through a qualifying tie. Better they finish 4th giving us a chance of 2 sides accumulating points in the Europa Conference

Decent review on old firm game especially regarding how each team " pressed " out of possession I felt they pressed as a team and a single unit ( thier 1st goal ) while we really only pressed from the front so offered an easy pass into their midfield, most of their fans I know think they didn't play at all and singled out Mooy & O'Riley as very poor and like Alex a bit annoyed that Tav didn't take freekick at end as Hart was offering loads of space at his lefthand side ......

Thank you very much gentlemen, excellent preview Think the points on maxing the credit card to go on holiday are spot on. We spent reasonable money on Hagi/Roofe/Itten AND (reportedly) turned down £16m for Morelos to Lille, all on the back of a £15m loss, knowing that we were going into a season without fans and with huge uncertainty and risk over what was going to happen to sport That was a really high risk roll of the dice by the club - you would probably call it irresponsible if it wasn't being backed by the investors' own pockets - but it was clearly an emotional decision more than a sporting or business one. If we had won the previous season, I can't imagine there's any chance we would have acted in the same way We also then didn't sell anyone on the back of a £23m loss the next summer and that's where I think Gerrard's influence, if the general consensus that it was him that got his way is true, had become too strong and short-term thinking was out of control I maintain that from a distance of a few years summer 2022 and January 2023 will be seen as the start of a better balance of short/medium/long term planning 3-0 Rangers (I've got nothing right yet this year)
