Can anyone clarify the Tillman situation? I was of the understanding we had a first but with price locked in on him but some sources claiming we now don't want to buy at the agreed price???? Is this anywhere near where we are in this?

So if you bring a player in and are told you have him on loan for a year and a fee has been arranged and set. How come goal posts can get moved? How does that work?

The only possible way of squaring the two reports would be that we suggested paying less for him than was initially agreed. Sounds very unlikely as ⬆️We and Bayern know they’ll get more for him on the open market. Who knows 🤷🏼

I didn't think going back on an "agreement" was the done thing. Whole situation could do with some clarity. Kind of looks like the manager has moved on to other targets.

Same question really and to ask H&H to try and confirm if we never acted by a certain date to buy Tillman which then allowed Bayern to change the deal?

The Tillman deal was the wrong one for us. Another Wilson move, where he allowed a kid who will go for a fortune in a few years to come and put himself in the shop window. We had no control over the end part of the deal, which was something Wilson allowed to happen. I’m just glad he’s gone, and Beale is making him look like a complete amateur a few weeks into the summer market. It’s true that our league is not glamorous for some players, but it’s always been the case. We need to try and change that profile in players minds. Rodgers has no idea what he’s going to face this time round, and I can’t wait for it.

I’m pretty comfortable saying Beale will be more than capable of handling him. But I mean fair play to the guy, it takes some balls to come back to a club whose fans were wanting you get assassinated

Delighted that Tillman won’t be coming, he doesn’t suit us or league, money can be far better spent

If Tillman goes to the EPL he will be on loan on in the championship by January. I am convinced that time will show him to be a bullet dodged.

Loan to buy agreements only last for the duration of the loan. His loan ended officially on 31st May. There's only 2 possible scenarios. 1. Beale didn't want him or 2. He didn't want to come back. I suspect it's the second one. A pre agreed fee is worthless if the player doesn't want to sign a contract.
