Wouldn’t like dragged by the bollocks from Brighton to Leicester

Colin Munro

was the original €22m guaranteed fee instalments over the contract for Bassey?, does this Brighton deal mean all monies paid in full now to Rangers?

Heart and Hand

No, the payments will continue at agreed rate. Most football clubs will pay chunks of fees this summer to players who will alredy have moved on from the club in question.

Craig Clements

SLF MAN. Worth the annual subscription 👍

Paul

Rangers review saying Rangers won't get a sell on fee for Bassey as it had to be over what they initially paid for him. Top work Ross Wilson

Tamus

That's a tune my Friend - double thanks today 🔥 🔥 🔥

Gregg

Suspect that is pretty common - not sure why you’d expect one if the club is making a loss.

Douglas Innes

You could argue seeing as Basseys trajectory is going down Wilson sold him at his highest level ......2 years time back at ibrox for £3-5 million

Douglas Innes

Would be funny to think when Rogers was Leicester manager he let Bassey go for a development fee only for Leicester to buy him back 🤣

Paul

You might be correct mate. However, I seem to recall it being praised that Rangers had been able to secure a sell on from Ajax, who allegedly never allowed sell on clauses. I guess we never understood the terms. The truth is in the detail as they say.

Heart and Hand

Not really, had he gone on to be sold for 50/60m - and Ajax have a track record of that - it would have been huge. It’s not an exact science. To be honest I’m surprised so many people didn’t realise sell-ons are always on profit. I’m no fan of Wilson but I suspect this was the only time he actually managed to sell at the high point.

David Campbell

Am surprised at Adam's surprise that we are potentially still in for danillo. Beale has already said lammers is a 10. So we have really only signed 1 number 9 so far if dessers happens we need two imo. Colak is not the answer for me anyway.

Paul

I was all for the sale. Right time to sell. Genuinely didn't know it was always on profit. Lesson learned 👍

God the prodd

Rona Bluebell

“He has a home now”. Right, that’s me all choked up now and got my favourite ❤️

Tamus

Surely all sell ons are a %age of any profit made by the selling team

Ewan Christie

Cue cries of “where’s the money coming from” if we get both Danilo and Dessers 😂

Spoon

The signings really starting to show intent if we get both over the line, stature and physicality we sadly lacked looks to be coming back which is excellent and Beales comments spot on about the guys he’s brought in. On a side note…. Full disclosure I’m not a fan of Lowrie and doubt he will make it but given the chat around him and his potential attitude issues I’m not sure rocking up to training and then clowning about in the RTC videos does him any favours. I 100% appreciate I am putting myself up as a grumpy old guy by saying this but for me given he hasn’t achieved much yet and has a bit of a rep (rightly or wrongly) I would be getting the head down and working hard to show I was serious this season. Suspect he’s another ‘wonder kid’ who will move on having never realised his potential personally but if he is to push into the team he should be focused on grafting, pretty sure some of the managers comments suggested this last year too. Don’t think he has what it takes but time will tell.

There should be no limit on the amount of strikers we should bring in IMO. For the last two seasons, we've finished each of them without having one and that arguably cost us a chance of a European trophy. We cannot rely on Roofe at all and Colak hasn't exactly shown the robustness needed over a season either. I suspect we'll be playing with two up top more often than not and Dessers and Danilo is the minimum required IMO. I would echo the exact same opinion when it comes to our central defence with at least one that's better than we already have needing to be brought in. No sentiment and not asking for too much as these issues should've been addressed 1-2 years ago. We are Rangers! and I'm glad the current board members are now acting like it.

John Palmer

To me he's always sounded like a good option. He's in his prime and should be able to score plenty goals in the SPFL. He's tasted success in Belgium and done well in Europe for Feyenoord. Genk: Belgian Cup: 2020–21 Feyenoord: UEFA Europa Conference League runner-up: 2021–22 Individual: Eredivisie top scorer: 2019–20 Eredivisie Player of the Month: November 2019 UEFA Europa Conference League top scorer: 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League Team of the Season: 2021–22

John Palmer

Out of all the Signings this Summer, Jack Butland is the main one that excites me. He's played for some good Clubs, Represented England and knows how to command his backline. Can't wait for the Season ahead which can't come quick enough.

The Fingers , been part of my life since about 1979 😍🎶

George D

@HeartandHand any truth in the reports of 4 clubs chasing Hagi and the possibility of him going?

adam houston

A don't think he will go unless it's good money and as long as the manager can spend it a don't think he wants to leve

George D

Just listening now. Top work as always. Cheers from Sydney Australia

Dougie McAllister

A bit of Radiohead Paranoid Android would be good 👍🏻
