Sounding very much like Keevins at the start of this one Dave

Heart and Hand

I suspect I have a cold coming on. Hopefully not as bad as his, he seems to have had it for forty years.

Rona Bluebell

Fashion was never the answer. Don’t know if the new lot are any better, too early to say, but we need to up our standards. Wish him well.

Graham Macgregor

Having calmed down after being at Rugby Park on Saturday, my instincts are Beale is a very good coach as what he done at QPR shows. However by trying to integrate 10 players and also simultaneously implement a new style of play on the existing squad it’s simply too much to do in one per season! He’s overreached and it either needs to click soon or he needs to revert back to last seasons formation and style, and with a functioning forward line that may suffice.

Ryan Stewart

Every time Beale mentions about having “control” it sends a shiver down my spine. There’s one thing I can’t get out my head and it’s his first interview where he was quite critical of GVBs style and talked about “taking the handbrake off” Would be good to see it sometime tbh It also annoys me how he always mentions the pitch when talking about games v Killie/Livi. There’s no way the manager constantly mentioning it doesn’t seep into the players mentality when playing on it. We change our team and approach on it, Celtic go and play their normal game and battered them twice last season

Colin McL.

Not much a manager can say that placates a support after such a performance. However the part about the support being excited for the new season and then this result bringing "realism" irked me.

Tamus

Hi Davie _ o believe the phrase you're looking for with regards to the pressure being applied by Celtic is NO SURRENDER

Brian Rae

I genuinely don't know what game the manager was watching with those comments. We were abysmal from the manager down to the players and using the "new" player excuse is ridiculous as well as insulting the intelligence of the fanbase. You just have to look at Kilmarnock, they've had the same player turnover as ourselves and they looked well drilled, fit and worked their socks off for each other. He has got no credit in the bank and hasn't achieved anything in management, in fact he's lost every game that's mattered and considering GVB achieved far more in a shorter space of time and was hung out to dry (numerous injuries, imposter calling the shots, etc) Beale better improve quickly because talk is cheap.

Leslie White

David did I mistakenly here you say on stats we had 18 shots on target. Or should that have been 318! Passes/sideways/back. Might be my age and dementia I would thought it was more like 5!

Graham McCallum

I’m just really pleased we don’t have to qualify for the Europa league. And Celtic can get to fuck with their childish games 😊

Ashley_H

Agreed, Colin. I don’t think it was unfair of fans to expect that we had enough in the tank to beat (or even bloody compete!) with Kilmarnock. The only dose of realism required is within the squad and management team RE that level of performance being completely unacceptable .

Graham Roy

Fuck Celtic and not a good idea to listen to them when they talk about what happens in their stadium! 😳

Colin Mathie

Don't give a damn about Europe this season tbh.

Spoon

Couldn’t agree with your comments more, summed up perfectly. The biggest myth for me was that Beales tactics or nous turned results last season when many of the same players ignored Gios instructions and played similar slow paced laborious football. In my own view what he got was the benefit of players returning from injury that Gio hadn’t had available. I’m not anti Beale and I want him to succeed but to some he is touted as this well travelled football guru and the evidence is that over his time with us he plays safety football that’s not generally very attacking or dynamic. We did at times under SG and his initial spell have the odd cracking night playing good counter attacking stuff but that tended to be Europe where there was space not domestically. He can still get it right and I hope he does but he hamstrings himself by the daft comments and contradictions he spouts which for me makes it hard to take him seriously at times. We might not all be tactical disciples but I have seen enough football to know what’s effective, industrious and entertaining and what’s not.

Mark Boyd

Beale had said we had 18 shots and 4 on target. I did lol when he said that 😂

Dougie

Hi, a completely random one! I’ve now waited 8 weeks for my home shirt and a training top I ordered online through the club shop! I’ve now sent 7 emails and the last 3 trying to get my money back! I keep getting the same email reply, we’re sorry and offering 10% discount! We trying to track your order and the warehouse is working as fast as they can! I live in East Anglia so going to the shop in person isn’t an option! Any ideas what to do next? Thanks in advance 👍🏻

James Mcgill

We need to get through the first game in Europe.Simply to get the 5 million.

Rod

Agree re the allocation, this dispute is well past tickets, it's about the power dynamic in Scottish football and celtic not getting their own way for the first time in 20 years.

Graham Jones

They need to deliver big time on Wednesday. If they didn’t understand what the club was about, then they will know now. There are standards expected at this club, and they failed to meet them on Saturday. We need to move on now, because we’re not going to change anything pouring over what was an absent performance. There is nothing to pull out of that game. We have to give them everything against Servette, because they are currently nowhere near where they need to be. Patience is also going to be key, because they will fancy their chances after watching the video from Rugby Park. That draw is tough as well. It’s a big ask for this side right now, but they need to rise to it and get their arses in gear. There’s no hiding place for them. Celtic can go and take a flying fuck to themselves. I don’t care what they want, or their fuckin’ poodles in the media.

CRAIG CASSELLS

If that is what Beale is hanging onto to try and suggest we weren't crap he can go and, well you know what. Saturday was a shambles, as poor as a performance as I can recall. The concern is that the game followed the same shitshow from all of pre season, a difficulty discerning our tactics, our shape. Hate to say it but starting to get these horrible vibes that Beale can talk a good game but but struggles to put into into practice come game time. After only one game Beale is under serious pressure.

Mark

I'm going to put it out there now that PSV will not buy Tillman for £14m. He'll quickly fall down their pecking order.

Billy McCormack

Said it before and I'll say it again, that lot can break down teams who park the bus, but we don't, it's the same boring football from Rangers under Gerrard, Gio and now Beale, same ol same ol, teams like Killie and other teams who we should be beating don't fear us cause they know what we're gonna do, if Beale doesn't fix this like Gio he won't be here long.

Neil 55

Spot on Billy. That lot scored 9 against them last season at Rugby Park.

Euan Dover

Its a nonsense. Warburton like expectation tempering. Given our outlay and paucity of recent trophies there is no reason the drivel we saw should be the ‘reality’ for this club.

Euan Dover

I’m desperate for a Rangers side that plays at tempo and with incision. Hate to say it but that lot must have loved watching them under Postecoglou - why aren’t we looking for managers that can set up a team and want to play at tempo? I get they don’t grow on trees but they plucked one out of relative obscurity.

Leslie White

There’s been too much slow laborious style of play not just from Beale, it’s almost been bled into us that we forget you can score from shots even from OGs. I’m fed up sick and tired seeing slow, back sideways passing allowing teams to park the bus. Until all our present and future managers accept we have to play fast paced football, we’ll win very little.

David Baillie

I’m losing more faith in the manager with every passing press conference. Kilmarnock had a fairly ordinary team of jobbing professionals out against us on Saturday. To say they” got under our skin” , was very close to the last straw in terms of comments from him. I stopped watching or listening to Gio’s pressers latterly because he quite literally said nothing. Beale is the exact opposite. Why say 2 words when War and Peace can be regurgitated. Someone needs to take him aside and tell him to shut TF up. It’s just bollocks and will get him sacked if he doesn’t wind it in.

Tommy

"not beaten by any quality" that's the problem Mick, we are conceding the same shite goals due to lapses in concentration. I wish we were beat by quality, that I can deal with

Jock Wallace

The inability to break down teams who play with 11 men behind the ball has been an issue since Warbuton !

David Mackie

So the players we want to shift Wright Kamara & Davies are still here but the one we should keep Sakala is shipped out, we are seriously not great at this selling game !! Plus so far there is zero evidence that Sima is better option than wee Fashion. Trying hard to remain positive but its getting difficult.

Sgems90

First I’ve heard the managers comments after the game as I’ve been trying to avoid his bullsh*t. The managers delusional.

Gregg

Brilliant - one talks too much, the other not enough. Just stop listening if it’s triggering - it matters not a jot. Same with the players - it matters not a joy what they say. People are mental getting annoyed by it

David Welsh

It’s good to hear Tommy Keene on the playlist today. I only found out about him through the great album he did with Robert Pollard, The Keene Brothers: Blues and Boogie Shoes. Well worth checking out, David, if you haven’t already.

Gordon Smith

I always listen on my morning drive to work in Sydney.
