Colin Mathie

Good 1st half, shit 2nd half.

David Hanlon

Up front we are all over the place. Just not good enough.

Graeme Robb

Does it seem like getting a guy sent off doesn’t hurt teams as much as it used to?

Luke

Early doors but alarm bells are ringing already. Looking at the positives, I thought Souttar had a really good game and done brilliantly for our second goal.

Alan Shaw

I know its early days but the communication up front is terrible

Ryan Stewart

Mixed feelings after tonight. Thought up until the red card we were actually pretty good. The red card seemed to spook us and we reverted to swinging in crosses from deep. Positives to take but still big improvements needed

Colin Munro

Yehhhh … 1st car pod of the season… and its same old pish… not u guys on pod btw, 😉, but very laboured performance ….

Nick Reilly

I watched game on TV we played well. Unlucky not to score few more goals. Penalty they got was a joke. Much better than Saturday

Colin

Utter shambles yet again and stop with this opening 29 mins crap we we terrible from start to finish

Jamie Kirk

The bit where Tav is over the corner and he stops to instruct players where they should be? Why on earth do our players not know the drills? Slow Passive Lacking urgency No ruthlessness Feels like watching Warburtons team

Colin

Give me six cans and buff back please 🥺🥺

Iain Campbell

Cammy is absolutely spot regards getting at the ref for bookings for the opposition

Billy Forrester

Played very well 1st half then the intensity and desire to move the ball quickly dropped in 2nd half. Positives were Souttar, Cantwell and Lammers. Got very frustrated 2nd half as everything slowed and seemed to go through Tavernier who wasn’t good and actually slowed us down a lot. An improvement tonight against a better opponent than killie however much to still work on and get better at, need to move the ball a lot faster and be more forward thinking

Scotch

Random observation, Why are we so slow at subs? Not the decision to make a sub, but the time it takes between the manager deciding to make a sub and the player actually being ready to go on the pitch. Last season we lost many goals when in the middle of making a sub to sort out a weakness on the pitch. Tonight it was just as slow. Being slow to react on basic actions (throw-ins/corners/freekicks/subs) is our achilies heal. Worth a pod discussion?

Billy Forrester

Totally disagree, we were good first 30 mins and played some slick forward passing, huge improvement from what we have seen pre season and killie. Think ur being very harsh tbh

Pondo Sinatra

After Saturday I’ll take the victory! We’ll score over there! 💪🇬🇧

KAD87

Focusing on positives, we have the lead and there were improvements. Also like the fact that the fans are not tolerating any slow throw-ins and are demanding more of the players when they show lack of urgency. Main negative for me tonight was that you could see a change in body language and intensity at 2-0. When will we ever be ruthless?

Martin Davies

Played well up to the Lammers chance, then reverted to Barisic slinging in crosses to no one in particular for 50 mins or so, much like seasons gone by. The use of Scott Wright from the bench is baffling - he's got one foot out the door and yet we're relying on him in a CL qualifier?

Bob MacCallum

Tav and Dessers scored...er..that's it. Both made nothing but mistakes for the rest of the game. Drossers makes Alfredo look like Harry Kane. He had no pace, no strength, no energy, no guts, toothless. A total embarrassment. His goal hit off him then that silly handball. At least Alfredo at his worst could still pass the ball instantly to either wing. This guy is a dud. Yet again, another shocker from Tav. Get Sterling in on Saturday, with the " excuse" that we're saving Tav for Geneva. As for 99, I thought the wrong guy had got on the plane to Saudi. Danilo was worse than Sakala at his WORST. Couldn't pass ( even when given bags of time) ran forward a couple of times with 20 yards of emptiness ahead but simply stumbled into a couple of defenders at the 18 yard line. Terrible shooting efforts, no energy, no pace, no guts. I know it's early days to castigate these guys but sometimes you CAN tell quickly. In contrast Ciufuentes showed his class with practically every touch. It's a positive though that Souttar and Goldson were good plus Cantwell doing what the newcomers aren't. Europa here we come.

Spoon

Thought Souttar was excellent again, Jack was a breath of fresh air passing and moving forwar d constantly but still some teething problems up front. If that was a preseason game there would be optimism but at this stage it was the minimum required and in all honesty we won’t get them at a better time, 7 players out and a man sent off but we only managed 2-1. A wins a win but I think we needed more.

Doug

It’s long now been a fact the statistics show it’s harder to play against 10 men than 11. Teams are too organised now & just keep compact & remove space.

Doug

While I agreed with most points made, but not all, the notion being put forth that we are no better off now than before the game is just silly. We are literally ahead in the tie, which is a better position than when the first whistle blew. We also haven’t “made it harder”, that would somehow suggest things are worse than when we started, which they aren’t. What we mean to say, is we failed to make it easier, which while close isn’t the same thing. I think the whiplash of all the preseason positivity colliding with the disappointment of Killie is leading us down the path of being a little over negative. Yes, there are big strides to take, but we’ve completely changed the entire front half of the team so it will take time. As David has said, we will improve the more the players play together & we imbed everyone in. Celtic faced the same issue last season. They started poorly but then once they clicked they were flying. Hopefully we will do the same.

Tamus

We will score in SwissLand, they won't score 3

PR__92

Regarding players trying to get the other team players carded with new rule coming in about the conduct of players/coaches towards the officials it's not worth the booking for themselves

Rose Mcloughlin

Thanks guys enjoyed your pod....roll on to the next game.

KMS

Ahhh the union bears, nice banner they unfurled tonight in support of someone banned for continual pyro use, and the other a convicted drug dealer I'm led to believe. Class

Graham Espie

I don’t really understand the comments regarding Tavernier’s penalty. He scored it, also giving penalties to forwards for confidence belongs in the dark ages. The club has a penalty taker. He will take all penalties until he misses regularly.

AGS

Tav needs rotated: never liked him (terrible defender) but he’s in the hall of fame now (🤷🏻‍♂️)Guy is on his way down

Graham Jones

We take a lead to Switzerland which is what I was hoping for before the game. It’s a slim lead, buts still a lead against a side who have shown they have the ability to stick with you and make it tight all the way. They were underestimated in Belgium and Genk came unstuck because of their hubris and conceitedness let’s not fall into the same trap. We now face a tough away leg next week, and the support have to invade and take over their stadium. We have to take control of the situation and helps eh team find the right result. We have no divine right to expect to beat them, because their stage of European football offers up too many banana skins. Let’s be contented but asking for more with each game and make sure we go over there and finish the job. I saw enough to suggest we have the tools to do so, and then we can look at the next hurdle. But Servette must be taken care of first.

Graeme Robb

Yea certainly seems that way. My heart sinks when the opposition gets a man sent off.

Berra

Between 18:40 & 19:40 Simon summed it all up perfectly - pish! Cifuentes when he came on played a couple of balls in front of players to run on to that they just let run out of play. Sign a 5m Brazilian striker aswell and play him lw. Need to see improvement and quick!

Lee Stewart

I am by no means a happy clapper but wow, you guys are really negative given we’ve just won a European leg and in pole position to qualify through the tie. I thought some of the intensity and pressing in the first half hour was some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. A lot of chances wasted but once this team clicks we will take some stopping.

Chris C

Cammy, Tav does vary his pens..that’s why he scores almost all of them. Bit unfair that. Can you imagine the furore if we got another pen & AN Other takes & misses it. Your tried & trusted man has to take them. Especially in a UCL qualifier.

Martin Boyd

That pod is basically a moan about Saturday . We were nowhere near as bad as you lads made out , when they went down to 10 I was thinking we would struggle , same as Ufa and Villarreal did against us. As for the Tav penalty thing , rubbish he doesn’t always go down the middle what a nonsense statement.

Colin

I don’t know anything about that stuff. I was just praising the pre match tifo.

jamey Carruthers

We don’t ask refs to book opposition players and Tav needs to vary his pens 😂 wild comments.

KMS

Wasn't a go at you Colin, I'm just sick of their sideshows, plus the fact while i loved Stevie Clifford's pod about what's getting done to bring our stadium up to a standard to be proud of.. .. what's the point in upgrading anything?.. the concourse? , toilets? and seats?, when the union bears come along and cover it with their grafitti and daft stickers?, have you seen the state of the Copland since they were given access?, they are like wee dogs trying to mark their territory. No point in upgrading anything when it will be immediately vandalised by our own fans by the end of the next game.

Moon Man

We lack on field leadership, decision making and a bit of fire which we need to address.

Gregg McKee

The Tav pen chat from Cammy is just utter utter nonsense. He put the the pen in Hoffenheim to the keepers top left not central. If he let say Dessers hit on and he missed it no doubt it would be Tav’s fault for putting that pressure on him. Tav wasn’t great last night but the pen chat is just having a go for the sake of it.

Nikky Cairney

Far far too negative on the pod last night I’m afraid. Was in no way as bad as made out. On another night that’s a 4-1 or 5-1 game. There’s a conversation that’s going to need to happen with our fans soon to be honest. We cry no surrender unless we lose the first game of the season then everything is doom and gloom. Ground was emptying at 80 minutes when we are pushing for a goal in a champions league qualifier. Was embarrassing. We are all happy to accept the plaudits for Leipzig etc when things are going great so should be able to say when it’s piss poor. Fans on new signings jacks already after 180 minutes. An absolute shambles. Cammy blaming Tav for Cifuentes kicking the ball out the park tied a particular highlight for me.

Ron Jeremy

Banned off follow follow so need to come here to rant! (Although this isn’t really tangy) Thought we were ok in the first half, borna started the game really well before falling away in the second half, felt in the 1st half there was a chance to put the tie to bed but it didn’t materialise, even though we didn’t play well in the 2nd half their Keeper still had a couple of good saves, although he scored from a yard out Dessers still doesn’t look great to me,Danilo not much better, sima looks poor, still think we will get through this tie but on the basis of what we have seen so far this season we won’t get past psv

Bob MacCallum

Can't believe you guys praised Danilo. Last night he was the poor man's Sakala - or should that be rich man's Sakala?

Ryan Stewart

100% if he let someone else take it and they missed it would be that he’s bottled it and is never a captain etc etc the guy just can’t win with some fans at the moment it seems

George Higgins

They were only missing 3 players including their goalie. His replacement had a good game.

Colin Gardner

Ron your mental health will be for the better staying off that forum. The match threads are a cesspool of hate towards our players and manager unless wr are 6 up after 10 minutes!!

Ron Jeremy

Going by what H&H are saying about sakalas wages in Saudi you were right the first time

Ron Jeremy

Appreciate you bro,It’s actually for my mental health I needed it mate! 😂,struggling a bit and avoiding people, even staying away from ibrox because of my crippling anxiety currently,so it gave me contact with the outside world even if it’s full of blowhards, longer term I agree it will be a good thing 💙

Ron Jeremy

Was a podder from here that banned me as well 😂,genuinely think FF is getting worse, admins making out they are some sort of higher power and abusing other posters if they disagree with them, the owner calling folk pricks for example, mention it though….banned!

Martin Sutherland

I dare say all the car pods lads will be feeling a bit different today. It wasn’t anywhere near as bad as made out. I listened to this the day after having had time to relax and think it all over.

Campbell Maclennan

Can't understand why Hagi wasn't on long before the 85th minute

Simon H&H

Agree Martin. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. That’s the good thing about the instant reaction pod but. Most will have been feeling the same I’d guess. Looking back, we are very much in transition and waiting to click. It’ll come

Martin Sutherland

Yeah, I wanted to make sure you knew I heard it later. I would have said exactly the same last night mate. Pods are always class mate 👏👏

Craig

A few wild takes on this pod, lads 😳
