Tamus

When I leave work 2 and a half hours early today, I'm blaming you 😊

Steve Stewart

Matondo not in the European squad I thought. Can see us needing Sima as we lack the pace without him (and Matondo) unless he’s going to play Wright

Alan Weir

Is Matondo in the European squad?

Tamus

Favourite outwith the 3 - Dortmund away - fiorentina away, 2 nil win in Lyon

Russ

Bang on about signing players and not playing to their strengths - feel a bit for Nunez at Liverpool with what Klopps trying to do with him, the boy has elite movement and wicked pace in behind, stop wasting his sprints in making him press. Same vibe as when they signed Benteke to be honest, play to their strengths. Or Itten closer to home.

Ross Whitehead

It's a shame we didn't swap Ridvan out and Matondo in when we had the chance. Hindsight being 50-50 and all that.

Martin Boyd

Best Euro game I've been at Rangets 2 Juventus 0 best/ funniest on TV Dortmund 2 Rangers 4 , well I thought it was funny.

KennyY

Not worried about tonight. Confident we will go through and secure that €5m. Not bothered about the Champions League if I’m honest. There is zero pressure on Rangers tonight imo as we don’t need to score and they have to beat big Jack twice. The pressure is all on the Swiss.

Jamie

Agree totally on Morelos, David. The longer time goes with him being a free agent, I wonder if he will try to initiate a move back to us. The talk a month ago was that he was looking into the possibility of this. Do you think this is totally off the table for ourselves or do you think this would be a prospect if some of our new strikers don’t hit the ground running? I can’t see it myself but the thought did cross my mind.

Jamie

I think the realisation will be kicking in with the longer it is taking for him to find a club that he likely will not play for a bigger club than us.

Best european home game for me was back in 1972. Semi Final against Bayern Munich. World class winners and players on show. Beckanbauer, Maier, Muller. Great result from Rangers leading to a final win in Barcelona.

Best stadium in Europe I’ve ever been to is the Marakana aka the Rajko Mitic aka the Red Star stadium. Those supporters are passionate unlike any other on the planet, bar ourselves of course

Wouldn’t want Alfie back time to move on

Gregg

Absolutely love the crazy wee fucker but it’s time to move on. The fact that other teams - who don’t have the same emotional attachment as we do - are steering clear (even on a free) shows how he is being judged. His last year is coming back to bite him and it’s hard to have too much sympathy. That said I hope he gets a good move

Gregg

Was 3 nil in Lyon - was in the Lyon end. It wasn’t a pleasant experience

Mr J K Murray

we play with 15 mins in a flickering light shur, sky diving air, hic, are we playing with mountain laces within the boots, not slip on, no, not rust colour laces, swiss french being the language there, excitable, lol, is it an old ramon' road & cart track to der ground, are supporters in a Juxon chair & stool end, circa 1630 ,take an image of it & make a fridge magnet, hic, yors morphosyntactic 20:45 Tuesday, 15 August 2023 (CEST) Sunset in Geneva, Switzerland

David Watson

Don’t do it Alfie - you’re dead to me if you move to Russia. Tacitly supporting a genocidal regime = scumbag behavior. Also, the rouble is kaput - you’d get financially shafted.

William Hughes

Saw Rangers beat Juventus at Ibrox in 1978 and was there in Fiorentinas Artemio Franchi stadium to see Nachos penalty that took us to Manchester. Those 2 are definitely among many many highlights watching our beloved Rangers.

Hendi

Don't wish Morelos well at all, he was a wage thief for far too long. Took us all for mugs with his unprofessional attitude, in the boozer constantly. Treated the club with disdain. Not quite the big shot he thought he was clearly...

Spoon

Ooft! That would be a terrible move if it’s being considered. Bar one season his legend is greater than his contributions, history seems to be re-written with Morelos. Few seasons of ill discipline, one excellent 12 months then more self discipline / motivation issues. Personally speaking to me he is more of a Pena character to be pitied than any great of the past to be lauded, wasted talent and indicative of how our expectation levels as a club dropped in recent years. Professionalism and desire is the minimum I expect from players, he had neither for huge chunks of his time at Ibrox. If anyone at the club is even considering bringing him back it would be a huge backwards step, I can see zero upside.

Gregg

Games I’ve been to - Leverkusen away, first and only trip on a bus, no digs, found out there was a conference on in cologne, accidentally bevvying in a gay bar, amazing performance and win. Lisbon away, wee pal whose no longer with us going full radge, we kinda thought something special might be on, are you Celtic in disguise (would have been a shite disguise). PSG away - scenes under the Eiffel Tower, crazy taxis round the arc de triomphe, pointing out to my mate that it’s the road isn’t dead quiet, they drive on the right here (was a massive queue of traffic behind him, losing my ticket after the first ticket check and getting in to one of the best nil nils ever. And near missing our flight home as said idiot mate was convinced he knew where our hotel was - after walking in circles for two hours he admitted defeat

Hendi

Braga away before lockdown was class.

Russ

Mate don't knock it, I don't swing that way but i always think gay bars and clubs are a much nicer vibe for a night out - less testorone and sweaty pests like haha. Might just be because I'm younger though, might seem weird to older bears.

Ross Adair

I’ll second Leverkusen in 98. Trip and match itself was sensational. Felt like a watershed moment, and kinda was, although maybe not as much as we’d hoped 😏 Paris was great too 🥳

Russ

Oh aye. Brilliant. Too pretty for the gay bars, too staunch for the people.
