With David travelling back from Switzerland its Colin here with your Wednesday update, looking at all the news and comment from last nights match along with a look ahead to PSV and an update on the B team.

I would hate for us to postpone our match against Ross County. The season has only just begun, and the players need match sharpness.

Not sure where this narrative that PSV are 'much better' than last season has come from. They have lost Gakpo, Simons and others. Last season they had also won the Dutch Supercup away to Ajax, were unbeaten domestically and had just beaten Monaco over two legs. They are a good team and will be favourites but let's not build them up too much in our minds.

On your question the three goals I would pick Colin Stein goal in the ecwc final Peter Lovenkrands header in the Scottish cup final that made it 3-2 and won the cup John brown scoring at the rangers end at the piggery to make it 3-1and running away behind the goal as 20’000 bears go potty.

I’d rather play the games, if I’m honest. We all know we won’t get any help from the SPFL or the SFA. The more games played at this time of the season, with a new squad, is preferable.

Colin, No idea why you think Yilmaz would offer more than Borna. Yilmaz was absolutely awful away in hoffenheim and at home to Olympiacos he cost us a goal too. He can’t cross, looks weak and doesn’t defend well at all. Sorry, have to completely disagree with you. Especially as Borna has actually played really well in the last couple games.

I think that’s a nice idea but it’s been taken away from us and others like us. The system favours five leagues and helps drive an ever-widening gap. It’s piss poor for every other league in Europe but that’s UEFA I suppose.

I have zero evidence of this (bar his availability) but my impression is Ridvan doesn’t want to be here or hasn’t settled. The guy has had every chance to stake a claim as first choice LB and shown very little. Haven’t seen enough to judge ability but seems lacking in either minerals or appetite. Wild speculation but he never seems convinced or convinces he wants to be here.
