What a difference just one week makes in Planet Rangers - there is a sense of encouragement, hope and possibilities around the Rangers support right now!

Hoggy is back, having finally made it back from Switzerland thorugh the electircal storms, to talk transfers, Champions League / Europa League / Conference League, Rangers form and the hopes around it....... and brings two more sets of Hot Takes to the table!

Seat shifting seems good in principle. Perhaps, rather than forcing it, season ticket holders could tick a box to say they're open to the suggestion

On the seat shifting….. wouldn’t overly bother me as I go to the football myself but it will always come down to my should I give up “my seat” for you.

There may be a compromise with a voluntary seat swap solution. At season ticket renewal, for people who wish to swap to be near friends or family fill out a form, (or have a section of the renewal form for this) where they can indicate that they wish to move as part of a friends/family option amd provide some basic info for the persons they wish to be near. This marries up and only those who wish to be moved are affected, the "this is my seat" brigade are happy as they get to remain where they are. I think that this can be achieved through developing a small piece of software that can marry-up movers against spaces left by other movers or available season ticket seats. Would be most effective if run prior to allocation of the new seats, allowing scope for the most movement. Can also help try and keep people within the same stand sections and save overhaul to a completely different part of the ground. The downside is there would be a relatively modest outlay the develop this software but iro thousands of pounds rather than millions

CR7 is shite is right up there with my initial thoughts of Ibrahimovic!! From a Gers perspective, I thought Basile Boli was the 2nd coming after our pre season friendlies, and 3 years before that I thought Andy Goram was garbage. Thankfully I'm not one to double down and I very quickly acknowledged that I know fck all about football.

My hot take might be the oldest one you'll receive. Early 80s with a toiling Gers team and Greig signed Craig Patterson. The rock in the centre of defence we desperately needed. After 2 or 3 games, I believed he was the natural and worthy successor to Ronnie MacKinnon and Colin Jackson. Happy days! Then he picked up a minor injury, came back, was never again the defender I'd hoped we'd signed. Absolute embarrassment. Weak in the air and tackling.That position was only resolved with the Butcher signing.

How about we (along with our wee family/friends group) get allocated pot luck seats every season? That way if your view is not so good, at least a it’s only for a season and you always have the chance of getting a cracker. Very difficult for those with a great seat currently to give it up I know - but it would be the right thing to do for the whole family. Seems unfair that we all pay the same(ish) but some always get the best views. Maybe more difficult for the club to organise each year but well worth it. I think it would really help with further enhancing the buzz around the place each season and improve the atmosphere significantly. Think you’re a natural on the radio incidentally Hoggy! 😊❤️🤍💙
