Angus Mackay

Great show as per usual Alan , I got all 3 !!!! I was actually at the 3-0 v the sheep. Michael mols was sooooo good , the sheep were really really bad

John Cox

Great show as always alan really enjoyed the stranglers my dad got me into them at age 12!!!

Brian MacRae

Another great show Alan. I'm 62 and took early retirement there in May. Your my Monday morning listen when out walking my dog Ted and to start with the Stranglers was brilliant. I love walking and my mind goes back to some mad but happy times. Keep up the good work. 🇬🇧

Alan Bradley

Funnily enough was out walking wee Gabriel, our grandson and wee Greta our daughter’s dog when this came through. Monday morning park walks.

Love the football and music nostalgia Alan. My dad fed us Jon Anderson/Yes ‘wonderous stories,’. He also took me to a December 1978 League cup semi final as a seven year old. Wonderous Story. We had seats high up among Celtic fans??? Was under instructions not to cheer loudly if we scored. Their OG in the remaining seconds will last with me forever. 3-2 Gers. Would love H&H to cover that game as no commentary as far as I gather and scant reviews. Regards.

Alan Bradley

Hi Stevan John Cowden and myself covered this in our Rangers Through The Seventies series. Think it went live on H&H in March 2021. There was no commentary, but we both shared our experiences of that game. Definitely worth a listen. If you just search for 70s, should be able to find it. The episode was titled Greig’s First Managerial Success, or something similar. Lots of great stuff with John and myself in the archives from The Scot Symon series, Davie White and Rangers through the 70s. If I do say so myself. 😂

John Smith

Remember my old man telling me he was absolutely disgusted at Gerry Evans this day. Guy totally lost the plot, not Hearts. He said he didn’t even celebrate the third goal. That to me shows the caliber and the quality of Rangers fans.

Alan Bradley

Yep you could tell that many of the Gers felt the same, just a crazy experience wondering whether Hearts would end up with 6 players and the game stopped.

Kev Roberts

Some good music there I was close but wrong on all 3 years lol

john cowden

Brilliant game burns off Alex miller off Jim Casey with a bullet header for the winner . The season we thought we would win the lot !

Johnnie Mitchell

Another great listen Alan. With my Birthday coming up soon I’ll be in touch with a request please. Cheers

john cowden

September 77 one of the all the great games Possibly because there was no footage it meant any those of us who were there are able to magnify it in our mind. Last season before the stands begin to be built and Ibrox is absolutely bouncing. What I remember about this period is if we were two up at half time we were very nervous , if we were two down we thought we’ll have this mob. And usually we did

Alan Bradley

Fab Johnnie, fancy joining me during that week? Clearly you’ll do all the heavy lifting and I’ll take the credit for a great show. 😉

Alan Bradley

Definitely John, without doubt one of my favourite Old Firm wins, brilliant football and the team and supporters showing exactly how to channel the battle fever correctly.

Johnnie Mitchell

That would be great Alan. Thank you very much for the offer. Let me know what’s required. Cheers

David Best

Only 1/3 again mate!! I need to be dropped from the squad. Great show though. And some great memories - although the ones from “The Orange Cup Final” are a bit hazy!

Alan Bradley

Ha- Suspect that was due to the numerous rusty nails that you and wee Mason had been drinking before the game.

David Best

That is possibly true but I need to up my game here!

Derek Murray

3/3 !!! Star Wars and David Soul helped with the 1st year I must admit 🤪 Cheered me right up Alan- esp after my PSV travels and the not so fun in the sun game … The music is getting better week on week- (brilliant to hear some Yes & even Genesis song was a good choice !) keep it up 👍🏻 How about the Adventurers …?

John Walker

Wow great stuff Alan. I had read some of the comments before listening on my way to work and was wondering what stranglers song it would be. What a choice that was 👍,love it when JJ sings then siouxsie later on and throw in thin Lizzy and pulp , superb I think we're gradually wearing you down into becoming an old punk . Great memory that 3-2 game don't think butland apart anyone would have got into that team that day from the current lot. And a take from from the comments on the 99 game Albertz with 19 goals the previous season, oh my lord how we could do with him now. Great listen once again .

Alan Bradley

Thanks pal, glad you enjoyed it. Off to buy a new pair of doc martens, safety pins for my leather jacket and PiL tee- shirt.

William Shand

Back in the seventies Celtic’s Ronnie Glavin had a shop which burnt down. He was charged with arson but was cleared in court.

William Shand

There was a joke doing the rounds at the time that Celtic had signed an Icelandic midfielder Johannes Shoppes. Celtic’ midfield line up would be Glavin, Burns, Shoppes

Martin Boyd

First year was easy great chart . Unfortunately I had a Saturday job in a shoe shop for the match, knew the halftime score but didn’t find out final score until I got home , ‘twas v happy 😀 Wonderous story by Yes , great song best listened to after a hallucinogenic of your choice. As for Genesis , what a band , up until 1980 ish.

Andy Sladen

Another great pod Alan and thanks for playing another of my requests. If you can squeeze in the cockney rejects and was on the terraces that would be great. Fantastic and apt song to start the show. It’s time this squad grew a set and understand what is needed to play for our great club. Oh for a Jock Wallace or Walter in that dressing room again!!

Alan Bradley

Been a smarty pants and already recorded next week’s show. That “work ethic thingy”. Will play cockney rejects, the following week pal.

Andy Sladen

Absolutely fine and I love the staunch Presbyterian values

David Baillie

Hi Alan, great show, brilliant tunes, memorable games. Well done and remember, keep them mowing blades sharp. 👍

chris smith

Another great pod Alan. Some stellar choices in there …
