I’ve long advocated that Scotland the Brave should be our national anthem. Flower of Scotland is nice but it’s too depressing for a sporting occasion

Iain

Beale must’ve heard David saying he’s trying to be positive yesterday and thought to himself “wait until he sees the Europa squad’.

Got the battle fever on for tonight 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 2-1 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I’d vote for Fields of Fire as a sporting anthem! I was lucky enough to see Big Country in 1984 and 1986 (1984 with a girlfriend, 1986 with a new girlfriend, now wife of 36 years, as she wasn’t happy I’d seen them with said previous girlfriend!😁) Mr Adamson is still sorely missed.

The squad, other than Butland, looked totally uninterested coming into the museum when I saw the video yesterday. Like it was forced on them. Maybe I’m still a tad annoyed with them and that’s how it came across. Captain chewing chuddy like a coo chewing grass. Highly respectful.

I think that's anger talking, Dessers was clearly loving the photo booth and there was a section with Tav asking questions and talking about how you don't appreciate the scale of things until it's all together (he'll presumably have seen some previews of stuff he features in prior to going). I've seen people commenting on chew gum before, and I think that's also just frustration creeping in. It's such a minor thing and really neither here nor there. They likely either came from or will have been going to training and a lot of sportspeople chew gum as both a stress reliever and to help maintain focus. It's can be kind of like a fidget toy. The simple repetitive motion is calming and allows you to hone in on a task. I'd imagine it's helpful when you've cameras stuck in your face, alongside focusing on elite level training etc.

Wow. Was that song not on a rangers vhs?

Yilmaz been here a year. Played about 5 times. Disaster of a signing.

The number of season ticket holders who did not purchase the Europa League package, in my opinion, speaks volumes about the current situation.

Is the Turkish window still open ? 👀

Aye probably mate. Nothing a thumping win on Saturday wouldn’t sort out.

6 defenders is fine. It’s not as if half of them are massively injury prone or anything 😬 4 midfielders and then a jumble of attacking players, half of which the manager has no idea how he wants to use them 😬 Who needs defenders anyway, our forward line is so well functioning we will outscore everyone anyway 😬

Respect David for mentioning the Luxembourg result after your glowing praise of them yesterday. 😳. I had a wee chuckle when I saw the result last night. Nice nod also towards The Founders Trail. I had a wee blether with the guys on Saturday as they did a presentation in the new Struth’s bar opened up in Larkhall. The work these guys have done is remarkable. 👏🏻 Lastly, top Daily tale and top tune to round it off. Cheers 👍🏻

Very happy for Bailey Rice on his new deal. I feared he might be the next one to mosey on to England without first blessing us with his talents first. On the European squad, where's Barker? Kids not had a run in ages and doesn't even make the list of notable abscesses. Always rated his pace.

I didn't want to mention Luxembourg.... 😂 Ridvans ommission from the euro squad has me thinking it's more to do with his height and his availability than if Beale sees a player in him. When fit, we have all seen how effective he could be. I these Europa games, I think he'd be targeted ans given our inability to defend crosses....

I remember being at tynecastle in 1986 watching the Gers - standing right beside me, Stuart Adamson. Surreal

What a tune, what a podcast. Daily team news, music, history, current affairs and tips on bladder control. Tomorrow, David tackles prostate self examination. I think every new signing should be made to take out a subscription to H&H. Might be an idea to have it piped into the dressing room. 😂
