KennyY

What a cringy embarrassing press conference. All very well asking the pertinent questions but to go on and on about it is ridiculous. Really hope he and the players get it together and string a whole load of wins together

John Smith

I agree with Kenny. Michael Beale used to be someone where I’d love listening to him because of how detailed and informative he was, which I greatly appreciated. My goodness that was a tough listen. It certainly wouldn’t fill me with much hope of optimism.

Gregg

It matters not a jot - if the team doesn’t win the manager talks too much (Beale), talks too little (Gio). The players apologise too much and folk are sick of it or don’t say anything and they are shitebags. Basically if we don’t win - everything is fair game it seems.

John Smith

For me Gregg, Gio always left me dissatisfied even during the European run, in terms of pressers. Whereas Mick really did give me a good vibe from his interviews. It’s just recently I think he’s starting to say things just for the sake of it. Not as genuine as he was last season maybe

Andy Barnett

That’s accurate. So they shouldn’t risk not winning and then it’ll be much better 🤷🏼‍♂️

Mark

He'll be gone within a month imo. I didn't want to admit it to myself until after the Celtic debacle but I can't pretend otherwise any more. Cantwell being out for weeks will be the final nail. I really hope I am wrong because what follows won't be good.

Spoon

John, personally never liked the guy or how he goes about things but the chatting nonsense feeds into the wider impression he doesn’t really know what he’s doing as a manager,. Not seen much to show he was the coach people make out either but let’s hope he turns it around since the board seem wedded to him.

I don’t think it is the general consensus at all. I think it’s people shouting louder, because that’s how the modern world works through social media. That’s why we end up with weirdos in charge like Boris Johnson and the US ended up with a freak like Trump. Weirdos create a lot of noise, and when some people who can’t think for themselves keep hearing that same message they start to believe it. That’s why the world is fucked. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nobody has been speaking any sense over the past two weeks, because we had a really bad week. Anyone who watched them in the nineties will tell you we had weeks like this then, but back then we allowed Walter Smith to sort it out, because we used to close ranks around our manager back then. We don’t do that now for some reason.

Russ

Don't think it was good questioning from MSM or fan media (I think of H&H as independent media to be fair, less disparaging). It was 15 minutes of stoking the fire and grabbing lines for me.

Mark

Walter had credit in the bank though mate in terms of evidence he could point to that demonstrated that he could fix it. Beale doesn't have that. I'm not calling for his head but we've moved into the perfect storm of a highly agitated fanbase, the manager making mistakes, huge decisions going against us in must-win games and now an injury that will see our best player miss several key games. I really hope he wins all the games and comes through this - but I don't see it happening. We are a basket case club now.

Gregg

You can say what you want when your winning Andy - people are sore when we lose and pick fault in things that they wouldn’t bat an eyelid at if the result was different. I’ve never seen us get beat and someone come out and say what a great press conference the manager/ players gave. Personally I don’t listen to any of it anyway as the media training makes them pretty boring - which is the point I guess. So as Adrian whispered to Rocky - Win.

Shevy Kapoor

Every game now is a must win for Beale. Not a great place to be for any coach. His presser did not fill me with any confidence. Gone at the next international break.... November

Andrew Hillis

The manager’s tactics must be subject to more robust questioning. for me it isn’t just about the players defending better, creating more chances from midfield or even scoring more! You need to have the tactics and leadership off and on the park to get the best out of the players! I don’t think the manager is being asked the right questions at these pressers! Why the hell did we sit off Celtic and their bang average players for the entire first half bar the first few minutes? Why is our build up from the back, throw ins and free kicks so deliberate and ponderous? Why does Dessers continue to get caught offside? 🤬🤬🤣🤣 These are not difficult things to correct and would improve us 10 fold! BTW - we appear to have signed another midget for the Women’s team! 😱😱😱🤣

Heart and Hand

Manager was asked about sitting off in the postmatch press conference. But truthfully, managers just blow off questions about tactics in press conferences. You will never ever ever get the answers you want from them.

stefan strzelecki

On the subject of the manager. I just think it time to get behind him, see how it goes, I think Beale knows more about his team than he is getting credit for . Becoming a bit mundane questioning his every word, he is a football manager, not a politician . The the level of trust I have in the manager to turn things around , is far greater than the prophets of doom pervading our support, with their football manager persona on the suitability of the manager . I love the discourse , sometimes people need to remind themselves , who has the UEFA pro license ?

Andrew Hillis

Fair play David I remember your question and Beale’s incredulous answer that the back 4 sat 20 yards too deep for the entire half before they asked them to step up at the half time break! What I am getting at is that you were the sole voice! No questions again re tactics today - more interested in asking him whether he was surprised at the fans reaction! 😢😢

AmoRangers

David, at the next press conference can you please ask Beale on my behalf why he has seen fit to appoint Orange Bunnet to his coaching staff?

stefan strzelecki

Walter would be disgusted to hear the venom from the so called football management experts. The reason he didn’t suffer fools within the MSM was because he knew they were always willing to put the boot in.
