Yeah, the Bayern keeper was called Wessels. Think he was third choice and this was his first game. Game finished 1-1.

That's Cantwell and Danilo both injured in opposition boxes by players who went completely unpunished. No wonder our team struggle at times when our players are assaulted with impunity. As always we have to be TWICE as good as the next best team in the country to win this league.

I remember the UEFA cup in 1999 we had a goalkeeping crisis with Klos & Lionel Charbonnier out injured and Antti Niemi out on loan. We were allowed to bring in an emergency signing by UEFA. We ended up signing Thomas Myhre on loan from Everton to play against Borussia Dortmund.

Rangers v Panathanikos - I was at Glasgow Uni at the time and, as I normally did back then, got shit faced during the afternoon whilst playing pool. There are some sketchy details from here but I ended up getting a bus to Ibrox from across the road from the Crystal Palace pub. Got into the ground at half time, oblivious to the score, fell asleep and woke up at full time. Had to ask someone on the walk to the subway what the score was. Better off sober, for sure.

Yeah, it's crazy to think, that Advocaat refused to bring back Antti Niemi from his loan spell at Charlton. He would've been a much better choice.
