If we lose this game I really believe that will be it for Beale.

David Herd

Raskin now confirmed out injured as well! Midfield is getting down to the bare bones, and that's before Ryan Jack gets his injury.

Russell McGhee

I'd bite the hand off you for a point tomorrow.

John Smith

Is there anyone who doesn’t think in their heart of hearts we will get beat ?

Mr J K Murray

they play in green & not won anything of note, won ther league in 1935 once & won spanish cup 3 times, its cup football & should have enough & be ready for another home game against Motherwell,

C. J

Without Raskin, I feel a lot less confident in many of our upcoming games. This season is in tatters already.

Iain Campbell

Roofe and Lawrence have to start. End of. Let’s drop this narrative of managing minutes. We must play our strongest XI

Mark

Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

Gary Shaw

Mate,he’s a headless doo that can’t pass, can’t shoot and constantly gets caught on the wrong side of opposing players…it’s no biggie

Andrew Whiteside

I think this will be the best performance of our season so far. Don’t know if it will be enough to win but got a feeling it will be a good night.

Graham Miller

I hope Beale has done his homework as well as Steven given his excellent assessment of Betis. Should be looking for a win but a draw wouldn’t be a disaster

Interesting discussion at the start of the pod around last game, expectation levels and relative comfort of the win. Three points ultimately are all that matters but if Beale wants to win back a significant section of fans who are at best unimpressed by his tactics and / or management then he needs to do more than scrape a 2-0 against a team who are struggling. Before the game the low ebb St Johnstone find themselves in was fully articulated by the podders and the expectation was that we would be more than comfortable. To then play down expectation after only managing a 2-0 would be daft. The disappointment for me comes from this having been the perfect game to go and show something, it could have been a real confidence booster and a chance to get some goals or fluidity to our play. It was the ideal place to go at a team from the start confident they would cause little problem for us. More importantly it isn’t a game in isolation and that’s what seems to be lost in a lot of peoples view on cutting Beale slack. This isn’t a blip, it’s not a poor game out of a run, it’s not even a bad day at the office it’s one of a long sequence of poor results that show a downward trend. When the team is stuttering, there’s little spark and the form is poor you know it’s going to catch up with you and lead to a loss or dropped points. The idea people are over reacting to a routine 2-0 is a bit disingenuous, it’s disappointment at seeing the same thing over and over when statistics tell you how it’s going to end. The team must start performing and stop making excuses, if we can’t score more against possibly the worst the league has to offer it’s worrying.

probably watch this from behind the couch through my fingers
