Great song title for our current (temporary ino) circumstances!

David Martin

Great description of our recent performances David, “flaccid” is on the money and tbh I don’t expect an erection inspiring performance tomorrow either.

David Norton

Thought that Banfield interview was the biggest load of bollocks I've ever heard outside of Holyrood

Stephen A

Captain Mannering in a Rangers tracksuit. Well I never!

Colin Mathie

Of course Matondos out 6 weeks, honestly, whatever is going on at the club needs sorted, hold a seance, perform an exorcism, do something, just get rid of this f'n injury curse.

Jimmy Price

Another player out for weeks because of a hammer throwing thug. But Banfield on Scott Wright!?!? Jeezo! What complete bollocks!

Vanb bryceter

I've tried my hardest not to think or say this but here goes. I honestly think Rangers players get booted up and down with zero protection from the officials. The players it seems to me are conditioned to it and don't look after each other as in sorting the jobbers out in the tunnel or whatever

Alan Ferguson

Banfield in early part of his update, spoke about wins over Servette, PSV and Betis…..was only later he then mentioned a 2-2 draw with PSV. He reminded me of Kenny McDowall when he was interim boss after Ally left….he was a rabbit in headlights every time he did a press interview

Ralph Wiggum

Engaged on a trip to Iceland. Are we doing a deal or are we doing a deal?

Dougie

Another clusterfuck presser!! Oh what joy 🤷🏼‍♂️🤬🤷🏼‍♂️ Stevie Wonder can see how this all ends!! Embarrassing from the board, I’m normally positive but this is bordering on dereliction of duty no??

Greg

Well done on the music, takes me back to school.

The press conference today was more of an insight into the mentality of this management team than they could have guessed it would be. We now know that they gave themselves a pat on the back for drawing at home with PSV; a game we could have won if not for lapses in concentration, which is definitely something that the coaching staff haven't improved on. Also wouldn't be bragging about the squad they've "built" given how haphazard the tactics, system and recruitment has been. What should have been a boring, nondescript presser was actually another glimpse into the mindset at the club. And it's not good.

David P

Question Davie, when you listen to Beale and his coaching team speak at these things are you concerned with what you are hearing? Obviously I get there is only so much they can say at a press conference and only so much you can read into what they say. However there have been subtle wee things I think that give us a little insight into this coaching teams mentality and I think it's fundamentally wrong. Like for example when we played that lot a few weeks ago Beale was talking like he was playing for a draw. Is it just me? Appreciate your thoughts seeing as you're there first hand.

Roofes interview calmed my nerves 💙

To be honest it’s what I see on the pitch that has me concerned. If we’re winning it doesn’t matter what we see in pressers. In terms of giving hints to whether the coaching staff are succeeding, again the pitch demonstrates clearly they aren’t.

David P

Yeah good point, it's what matters on the pitch at the end of the day and that's always going to be the case. A manager can say what he likes if he's winning. I do still feel that comments in interviews and press conferences just give a little peak into their mentality and whether it is right to be manager of Rangers. I think we've seen that with managers in the past. I still remember the old Murty quote "I'm just the guy standing at the side of the pitch" 😱 We all knew he wasn't the man for Rangers before that but that just sealed the deal. Thanks for answering my question bud 👍

AndyC

I just hope Bisgrove & the board have a list drawn up just in case as losing tomorrow would be fatal imo.

Does anyone think the lack of a decent level ex pro/'rangers man' in the back ground staff is a mistake. Beale and his top 2 don't really have the playing experience to call on and to make the player respect them.

Graham Jones

Most of the transfer budget was always going to be cut to pay for towards raising the capacity at the stadium, which is fair enough, but there were leaks all summer about spending upwards of £15m, and it never happened. The biggest fee was Danilo, and the rest were modest in comparison. We broke about even for transfers, because the board wanted it that way. They see the need to grow strategically and that means revenue projects like more seats. We will probably go ahead with filling in the corners without shutting down the stadium and that is going to affect our ability to pay for a new defence. Beale is expected to grow the new team from the academy, which is ridiculous at a club like ours. We don’t have the patience to put up with such a project. Let’s go and get a fourth win in a row tomorrow night and build a winning run though to the international break.

Graham Espie

Allowing Banfield to do the press conference, however early that was decided is madness. He’s a dreadful communicator in media terms perhaps better around the squad but sometimes you have to change tack. A series of negative questions aimed at an old man with no media experience. No problem with him, I just don’t believe he should be put there…

Gordon McCool

Given that everything else has failed, the only option left is to get yourself, Stevie and CJ round the mics together. We used to win when you done that.

Craig Guthrie

The guy next to me in the Club Deck booed at full time. Half way down the stairs he started applauding the team off the park. That’s some of our fans in a nutshell
