I was sure you were going to tell those children to shut up

Thought most of our decent play in the first half involved Lammers and Cifuentes. Definitely signs of promise from both of them.

4 wins and 4 clean sheets must be our best sequence of results since the 55 season. This is how it turns around. Performances aren't going to shoot up one game to the next, they come from momentum and that's what we're starting to pick up now. Loads of Rangers managers have been in this position over the years, including WS more than once. The difference is Beale doesn't have the previous credit in the bank. We have a favourable run of fixtures over the next 2 months where we can rack up the wins and get some players back. In truth, for many, it will be Celtic's form that will determine whether Beale can turn this around regardless of how many games he wins. There are others who have written him off and want to be proved right, for them, a treble won't be enough this season

When Yilmaz went down with cramp, guy behind me genuinely started shouting about ‘them bloody voodoo dolls’. This season is going to tip some over the edge.

Must admit I thought we got away with one for Sima’s goal but given the amount of decisions that have gone against us I’ll gladly take it 😃

Comment spot on David and a fair evaluation. I have some sympathy with the team who get little credit for wins at the moment but the reality is we are here due to a run of games or body of evidence that makes it hard to take these games in isolation as just a very decent win, the backdrop and context doesn’t go away. This team and these players, even this coach have got good things in their lockers, the niggle is are they able to find a way to deliver them and deliver them consistently when required. Tonight there was a lot of individual stuff where moments or players were good but it still seems a bit unstructured and haphazard more than planned and drilled. Even our goals had a touch of good fortune about them but I would rather be on the good side of luck than the bad and if you believe the adage ‘you make your own luck’ then the players are due credit for creating those chances and rolling the dice. The wider issue is this group has had more reboots than a marvel franchise, more platform, more springboards, more wake up calls, more go agains than they should have had. We are currently sitting in a weird place where its almost like change fatigue due to constant and never ending churn of form, some people can still goldfish it and forget what happened last game focusing only on the latest stuff, others can’t get past what happened in the past and fear it will come again. It wont change with a 10 minute spell, one player out of 11 showing up or even a 4 goal game that can be spun as we are back or we got a few lucky breaks. The team should probably get more praise for tonight but wont from some (me included, i know my biases) but I genuinely believe that comes from a refusal to go all in only to be disappointed and let down again its not from a desire to see any player or the manager fail.

I’m feeling much more positive after last night while fully appreciating i could be sent back tumbling into a pit of despair this weekend. One performance doesn’t mean we’ve turned the corner but it’s a marker to build from. We were in total control, a professional display. There were periods where we played with the pace and purpose we’re striving for and others where we seemed to make a conscious choice to retain possession. Livi sit deep, compact, well organised…we can’t just play 100 miles an hour playing penetrating passes all the time or we’d just be turning over possession regularly and I think we got the balance right last night. Title winning sides aren’t built on champagne football…although I’d like the occasional sip of that…they are built on finding a level of consistency which more realistically will look like what we witnessed last night.

Andrew Whiteside

Davie, with Roofe widely regarded as the best striker in the squad but with obvious fitness issues. We are going to either offer him a new deal this year or find a replacement. Do we have the money for that? How do you think this goes down with the fan base if he goes?

Heart and Hand

See tbh Andrew if he scores 20 this year I still don't think you offer him a new deal. History suggests it's just not a worthwhile investment.
