John Smith

Need to get fully behind Davo and the boys tonight and keep that support up until Kevin Muscat is announced

Dennis Macdonald

I remember going to pittodrie in the 80s and sitting in the main stand with them. I was only a child my my old man used to take me and brother up there every time we played and never had any trouble.

Aberdeen was a full day out in the 70s. 08:00 bus with cargo. No rivalry as they were irrelevant. First time i went me and my mate were so pished we couldn't find the ground. Ended up in the pictures watching a kung fu film until we fell asleep.

John Smith

Aberdeen pal of mine always pins it on Willie Johnstone’s neck stamp on John McMaster

Jonny Wilson

Neil Conmaster is thee worst thing to ever happen to Scottish football

The arrival of the oil turned swathes of Aberdonians into absolute arseholes. Their sense of entitlement was fuelled by their success but when we ended that success they’ve behaved like spoilt kids ever since. Sadly it’s now a generational thing with their mongo supporters. 🇬🇧

It’s obvious Neil’s going nowhere anytime soon , guys nae Buffon , 400k a year for making a total balls of things , would you I’ve that sort of free wage up 😂

Charles McIntyre

Not one incident imo triggered a mostly one way rivalry. I was there at pittodrie when Durranty was assaulted by Simpson. Before that I can remember being at Ibrox in 85 when we had Burns and Paterson sent off and even when we were 3-0 down Ibrox was a sea of swirling red white and blue scarves in defiance. Changed days some may say. In 1985 Aberdeen were top dogs and Ferguson loved to wind up the old firm and cited west of Scotland bias etc hence we wanted so bad to knock them off their perch. By 1987 we had done that and clearly they didn't like it and so their "hatred" and rivalry with us certainly went up a notch or two I believe. Ours of them was only for a few seasons. Now as David said they are just another 3 points for us.

Ross Gordon

Is that the David Craig from Cumbernauld by any chance? Hi mate! 😄

Scott Sinclair

The head butt was from John macdonald on Dougie Bell circa 1982 at pittodrie. The Wullie Johnston stamp was on John McMaster around 1981/82 when rangers won 1-0 at Ibrox in a league cup tie, perhaps a quarter final?

Mark

Hateley broke Aberdeen in 1991.

Aberdeen was a great day out in the 70s but it began to change after the League Cup Final of March 1979 when Rougvie was sent off and we came from behind to win 2-1. They, and Ferguson in particular, were apoplectic and never let up on the so-called West of Scotland referee bias and games with them then changed, with Ferguson winding them up beforehand (he was bitter he didn't get the Rangers job in 1978 too) and over the years the card count went off the scale. It became their big game to look forward to and for us, in the early 80s, one to dread as they regularly thrashed us. It got much nastier off the park when the Durrant-Simpson game happened as they celebrated it and we got incensed that they did. They then hit the pits soon after with songs about the Ibrox Disaster and chants during a minute's silence for George Young, a Scotland as well as Rangers icon. It's now one sided as I, like you David, do not give a jot for their score but they sure as hell look out for ours.

I remember before we appointed Beale we where heavily rumoured to be in for a guy who was an assistant for a former managerial target Vitor Pereira. I can't remember the guys name though and I was surprised he wasn't linked again this time around. Anyone know who that guy was?

Craig Clements

I'd have Davis before Lampard, definitely. But it will probably be someone who hasn't been mentioned so far .

Neil 55

Neil Doncaster Peter Liewell's pal.

Kai Armstrong

Just commenting to say patreons new logo is shite

William Hughes

Aberdeen was a full day out in the 80s at least. Left early doors or sneaked out of school at dinner time to make a midweek game. Nothing will come close to when we won the league up there in 1987 and mad pitch invasion.

John Myles

I only ever liked Aberdeen away for the atmosphere old beach end .

David Craig

Sure is mate! Not listened yet! But guessing my question got read out. Sitting next to said sheep at work right now 😂 prick.

Colin Ferguson

I see Daily Record & STV News arnt holding back with blaming us for the Cinch deal being cut short... Isn't this slander?

Callum Gordon

Would it be possible on away games that we possibly do a match thread to air our thoughts ? I know folk go on forums and have these but for those who don’t it might be an idea just to let folk on , open their mouths and let their belly’s rumble . Sometimes you need to vent and selfishly I don’t air my laundry on socials as I don’t want timmy getting a rise out of it .

Allan Osborne

What have I just watched? I knew we were bad but that tonight is almost Progress levels of pish 😡

Steven Carmichael

Pathetic performance, but couldnt have expected much more. Could've been 4 or 5 tbf. Too many flatlining. The old guard needs replacing, but we've known that for 2 seasons now.

Robert Deavy

This club needs a root and branch clear out From top to bottom it is broken and will take years to fix

Doug Young

For the love of God....

Doug Young

That was next level dreadful

Gregg

Can’t think of anyone worse - the ff one is an abomination. Just watch the game
