We need to get beyond saying the same comments and move to solutions. What is needed is money. The club either need new investors, for current investors to plough in more, for fans to pay a rebuild levy, or a combination of all the above. Wholesale change required for the weekend, but on hearing the post match offering from SD it won't be happening. Wright would never get another start for me, young McCausland done more in 5 mins than he done in all the time he was on park. I’ve had countless arguments with those that sit around me, on buses etc where I’ve stuck up for the two of them and couldn’t get my head round the pelters they got. No longer. Agree with everything about those players. The entire team with the exception of Sima and Butland look out of shape for free flowing football. They can’t run , their fitness doesn’t compliment each other. My hope is that the new manager has a fluid team , who can attack , and defend in a cohesive manner. We’ve listened to many similar pods over the seasons saying “players need to be braver” etc but the one season Tav, Goldson and Barisic put it together in the league was when there were no fans in the stadiums. We will seriously be fortunate to finish 2nd this year, that's how bad this is. Get Tav, Goldson, Lundstram, Dessers, Lammers, Wright and Barasic out of the entire matchday squad. Bring in a mixture of Devine or Sterling, Souttar, Balogun, King, Yilmaz, Rice, Lovelace and McCausland. Biggest disappointment for me is that Limassol looked like a team who had a clear plan and bandied together, and played for each other with a common goal which was to win the football game. They played like an organised football team. We turned up like 11 guys who'd never played football in their lives let alone play with each other week in week out. They turn up when we're 2-1 down and think that's fighting for a game, total shitebag mentality that runs far too deep amongst this squad.

If Butland was to go I'd be sick. He's the one player who looks made for Rangers. I looked at him when we conceded that first goal and he had the look of "wtf have I come to here?". I just hope he's with us for many years. The rest? I'm done with them. It's the same shit game after game for the third season running, but getting progressively worse with time. Been saying this about the core/senior group for a long time. Rangers players need to be relentless. These are overly comfortable relying on past glories and continually accept poor performances from themselves and team mates. Pleaded with everyone after OF semi earlier this year not to be fooled again by a run of meaningless wins after shitting the bed in another big game. This long term issue has been exacerbated by appalling recruitment this year. Whoever the manager is he needs to clear this lot out and replace with people who hold themselves and others to account. Bib big few months for the club. Sliding back any further than this will be extraordinarily difficult to come back from. Hope the right guy to fix it is out there.

Absolutely depressing as we know full well that it’ll be near enough the same team on Sunday. Wright, after a pathetic and cowardly display last week, was rewarded with a start in Europe tonight. Will be the same story this weekend. The senior players in that squad, would be quite happy if they never kicked a ball again for us. Would have done it tonight but Davis didn’t fancy it, but I’d definitely be trying Sima through the middle for the time being. The only one that looks to threaten the goal.

What is the point in doing that drill in training and prior to kick off if you have no intention of playing with any tempo or taking three touches during the game. Absolutely sick of most of these players. In an ideal world would only keep Butland, Cantwell, Sima and maybe Raskin, Danilo (jury is out). The rest I would happily never see in a Rangers shirt again.

Sadly the core group who have been here for the last three mangers have been spoiled like petulant children for far too long and it’s coming home to roost now. At times most have been contributors, some have been solid for a period of time but your spot on its time to call time on them and remove them from influencing the newer guys who have half a chance of kicking on. Sorry to hark back to it because I know people here hate it but one of the big reasons I defended Gio was due to this core senior group who to my mind got him sacked and did it in a pretty sleekit way at that. Actively courting their old mate Beale who they knew they would get an easy ride from but also turning in this type of dogshit performance at a time the manager needed them to be in the trenches fighting for the league. It’s the reason I never took to Beale, he immediately came in, absolved them and took any blame away from them telling us they were much better than the last guy had got from them, only to realise he was also going to be sold down the river by them. This group as the podders say get people sacked, not necessarily by losing lots of games but by always having it in their locker to chuck it in a game, for part of a game or in the moments that matter at any point. The mentality question has been answered, when you see Tav trot out the same absolute dross in a presser about the guy he just got emptied and the generic nonsense he spouted let you know he is either too blinded or thick to realise he should have been utterly embraced. I dont subscribe normally to all the captain chat around him but I would say that letting a manger go out like that (again) and not having the self awareness to acknowledge your own part in that was poor. The guys a great athlete, has been a great servant but he has never ever had the minerals to be a leader. You get the feeling that the only thing these players are elite at is feeling sorry for themselves and taking zero ownership for their own under performance and weak mentality. We dont need guys out breaking legs but we desperately need passion and bravery to take a game by the scruff of the neck and drive teammates to do better. Sad times, it’s almost convinced me to plump for Muscat who I am led to believe wont put up with this shit…..whoever comes in I totally agree the house needs swept clean, I would suspect this group like Beale still tell guys like Cantwell about the Euro Final and 55 like that all they needed to do to be legends. We need the new guys to take the lead and drive us on, the guys who seem to hold sway just now are well past their sell by date. At least they seem to have united most fans in agreeing they arent up to it…..small victories.

Why should we destroy a youngsters confidence (a la Leon King last season) to protect these imposters. After that "performance" & the lack of effort & desire shown by senior professionals & Hall of Famers I'd have a root & branch clear out of the match day squad. It'll never happen, but this weekend I'd go Butland Sterling, Souttar, Balogun, Ridvan McKinnon, Rice, Raskin Sima, Lovelace, McAusland. If nothing else, they'd at least show 100% effort & no end of desire to get a result - something that can't be said of most of the current incumbents.

Why do we never shoot from outside the box? GvBs first few games we were shooting from all angles! Barasic been poor defensively for years now and opponents know it. Tav been over played for years now as clearly his legs have gone and starting to look to foul the player early as he can’t get back.

I brushed off the idea that our team won our 55th league title with the help of Covid restricting any fan access into stadiums. Now, the dressing room "leaders" we have had in our dressing room since 2018 have continually wilted under any pressure. Time and time again. Any notion of putting up a challenge in the league/cups against the mankies and they crumble and let us down. Europe they can play without any expectation and they have previously thrived. Yet, any sniff of pressure and they wilt and hide. Our experienced players are losers, and they need hunted out of the club. They cannot handle the expectation nor the demands of playing for Rangers. Not when it matters. Beating c****c when the league is over means fuck all. Done with them, give the younger, new boys (and Mr Butland) every chance to move on and build anew.

I do not want to see some of these players ever again as they are beyond done they are serial losers, their is no heart and desire from the majority only sima and butland I could give pass marks from the starting line up. Our recruitment has been woeful, Beale has made us a worse team lammers and dessers are not footballers and how their signing was approved completely perflexes me. I'm absolutely scunnered, it was just an awful and disrespectful performance from some of them.

Totally agree, we have taken in players recently with talent and form but somehow managed to drag them down into our malaise. Would rather see youth as they at least have an excuse if it’s not all plain sailing.

The club is crying out for leadership on and off the park. Michael Beale ,with one or two exceptions,rebuilt his squad with inferior players to those that left, when added to injuries and player decline we have witnessed the team go into meltdown. John Bennett and the board need to step up once again and answer the call . The Chairman is the leader of our club and his voice is needed now more than ever. The choice of manager is looking like being the biggest decision made by the club since 2012, it needs to be correct. No more silence and no more costly mistakes. W.A.T.P

Tav needs to be moved out of defence into the hole in the right side of midfield. Goldson needs time out the team to reset his head from the bench. Barisic needs to go - being able to cross a ball well doesn’t mean he’s Rangers standard if he can’t pass, tackle or have any positional sense. We need a defensive midfielder (a leader) if Jack’s unable to play or have a voice on the pitch. Let’s hope Danilo is a player and Lawrence isn’t another Roofe injury-wise because Lammers and Dessers are worse than Sandaza and Herrera and will have us finish in third.

I’m actually finding this quite cathartic because the majority of the support now appear to see these imposters that have been hiding in plain sight within the first team for seasons. Tavernier told us how he and Goldson etc were in the infamous Hamilton program. It’s as true now as it was then. The back 4 should be dropped for the weekend to send a message to the squad although I doubt Davis has it in him.

I would urge any new interim/new manager to watch the 6 odd minutes of stoppage time and then make an assessment on that back 4. Barasic receives the ball from Butland and immediately positions his body to go inside to Davies. 2-1 down in stoppage time remember. But, Davies doesn’t want it either so doesn’t show. So Barasic then considers going forward but then comes back and just passes inside anyway before going wide and hiding behind a man. Cowards. The only word I’ve got for it is incredible. If I could post a video of it on here I would. Unforgivable.

Totally agree. There’s no rangers DNA or identify. Until his last season, Morelos was a rallying figure. There’s no one like that. Cantwell to some extent, but we almost played that out of him so far this season!
