Very pleased with this appointment. I was on the Muscat train but I'm equally happy with Clement, he ticks just about every box you could want. I'm particularly encouraged by his record with youth. Youth development is one area the club has badly failed at in the last 5 years, and was one area that was particularly disappointing with Beale.

We have a proper manager now by the looks of it, unlike his predecessor. I don't know enough about him to say how confident I am but I'm definitely more hopeful with him than I was with some of the other names mentioned (Derek McInnes again ffs!) but he's got a helluva mess to sort out. Seems more old school in terms of discipline and running the show....ideal for me as i feel we need to whip a few into shape. Also doubt he will concern himself with reputations and everyone has to prove themselves and earn a slot. If he can get more from a few there already a couple of additions will make massive difference and suspect a couple will see their time up. #NewBroom

A very good appointment on paper and full credit must go to the board for securing him. He was probably the best candidate we could attract given where we currently are considering the shit show that needs to be sorted. One thing is for sure, he will need to clear out the rot that has seen off far too many managers in such a short space of time. I think he will do just that and I also think we will see a massive difference in a short period of time between a rookie blagger and an experienced manager.

I hope he gets backed in January to move some of the dross out. If he isn't, then he's going to be under pressure next season as he will be tainted just like Beale by the inevitable failure in at least 3 competitions this season.

Guaranteed recipe for failure, setting short-term goals for the new manager. By January, we should be here. By the new season we should be here, by that January we should be here. All of this knee-jerk stuff is due to the perceived gap with Celtic and the panic that the gap is there. They keep winning stuff, and we... well, just don't. I'm not saying I'm happy with this, but we have a great chance in the league Cup, as Celtic aren't in it, but if we don't win anything this year we'll jist have to accept it. If we win nothing next season, I'll accept it, I won't be happy, but if I can see a culture change in the squad that I don't see now, we don't collapse at every big game, we see we have players who hate losing as much as they love winning, I'd give him to the following season to start showing a real change That's just me

On paper looks a great signing .. credit to board as there would have been easier and cheaper options ... interesting to see what he has been promised budget wise as if it's nothing .. we have ourself a 2 for 1 deal .. part manager part magician 🎩..
