I don’t think it was known how injury prone Carroll was until he turned up at Liverpool. Had he not been he was more than worth 35m. He was quick enough, super strong and was a very good finisher. He terrorised defenders when he was fit. Him and Suarez would have been immense to watch if he’d managed to stay fit. Torres was thought to be out of form before moving to Chelsea, turns out he’d just started to be a bit shit compared to the what he used to be. Stay safe Andy

Glad you're keeping OK Andy. And you, Andy.

Graham Roy

Good to hear you are coping with the horrible situation you are all going through. And looking forward to hearing you more regularly in the coming weeks!

Another great McGowan show. Hope you are keeping safe out there Andy. I would say an omission would be Trevor Steven’s 5.5 million sale which saw the same return as BF. Andy Carroll would be like our Duncan Ferguson, the up and coming striker and the fee was based mainly on potential

Best series on the network 👍🏻 haltn zikher meyn fraynd

Stay safe Andy. Re the Gattuso to Salerniitana, was that not the deal we received next to nothing from the Italians who defaulted on it?

Gregg

Sure Liverpool signed the best head in the league - Carroll and the best crosser - Downing. Money all style. Never worked. Saw Carroll live before he left Newcastle v Chelsea and he was excellent, looked like the new mark hateley. Good to hear andy back on

Well done on another great pod, gents. Andy B, thinking of you at this time. It makes me so angry that many of that lot’s supporters will be singing praises of Hamas at their midden this evening. Andy M, I found you a bit quiet on the pod. Can I disagree with you on one point? You said Gio downed tools in his last season. He declined the offer of a contract extension in summer 2000 when he had 2 years left on his deal so it was understood that he would be sold in summer 2001. Not the same scenario as with Laudrup. He picked up a bad injury on international duty in October 2000. I suspect that Gio’s long absence was more down to the club protecting its asset, especially with the league gone by the autumn. I would be interested in people’s thoughts?

Great show as usual Andy & Andy. This series is always interesting. Great viewpoints and reflections on the mysterious & murky world of transfers. Good to hear H&H's War Pod-respondent is safe & well. Keep your spirits high and your head down low Andy B, stay safe. Its always good to hear your views. Andy McG - Saltcoats! Longer darker nights! You stay safe too.

Great show but found it a bit quiet, particularly Andy McGowan. Enjoyed it none the less.

I'm sure this was a good show but I had to give up early on due to barely being able to hear Andy M.
