Do you think clement is going to be able to get a tune out of the summer signings, because imo it’s a hell of an ask. On top of that, will we see clement backed by the board in terms of signings and shifting deadwood?

I hope all the fans get right behind the manager now given all the negativity we have endured - I can't see him coming here and not being guaranteed funds to spend so interesting to see what happens in January. Also curious if he will be bringing in a new coaching team.

Just watched the interview on RTV, was impressed with how the new manager spoke about his plans, playing philosophy, about the quality he sees in the squad and how he can work with them. I said in a recent post on H&H that our team lacked clarity of roles on the pitch and structure, I believe the new manager will bring this and in doing so we’ll improve quite quickly. not saying immediately however it will not take months! Like a couple of H&H podders I have been accused of having a panglossian outlook, am I way off the mark here with where my head is at and my faith in the players showing their qualities now we have a proven, experienced and winning manager who will provide clarity and structure?

I really hope Clement works out and learns from his predecessors errors. Scottish football isn’t complicated and sooner he realises this the better. We need to stop hyping up games with supposed rivals (Aberdeen/Hibs) and just go out there and play our game. We need to bring some swagger back to the club.

Hi David and other podders - It was encouraging to see that Graeme Souness was part of the appointment process, is this something that the club should build on to get well respected ex-players/managers into the structure of the club. Buyern Munich do it with good success, to me will help maintain the standards that we expect at our club? What do you think?

I used to be the eternal optimist, merely a flesh wound type of attitude. Then there was the start of this season and vowed not to get my hopes up until we are on the brink of winning anything. And the eternal optimism can return after we win back to back titles. Reading comments across various platforms I think I might be in the majority. I’m back to back titles, what will it take for you to have that belief that we’ll dominate Scotland again?

Just watched the new managers interview and found his comments about us fans getting behind the team in upcoming matches very interesting. How do all the supporters get behind this group of players old and new that have consistently let us and other managers down? If not for them for the managers sake.

Hi David in your opinion who do you think will make up the rest of Clements coaching staff? With Stephan Van Der Heyden joining him do you think he will have a full team of guys he knows or do you think he might turn to someone like Davis to be a part of his new look set up? Just something am interested in as i do think the backroom staff is key but i also believe that having high level coaches is more important than having a “Rangers” man in there but i also feel we need to be developing our own coaches and i think Davis has potential especially when Clement leaves “hopefully after being a success and a EPL club comes in” we have a plan in place where guys who is there can step up

Between players with scar tissue and managers who give the impression they didn't know how to dish out a good bollocking I have felt we lose matches in the dressing room. Stronger characters wouldn't let themselves or teammates keep making the same simple mistakes. Do you think the new manager can provide enough of a culture shift on his own or is it too far gone? I fear the sweeping changes we crave will be difficult for him to put into place without moving on some of the 'leadership group' first.

The chat seems to be that Clement prefers 442. Is that a potential problem for our number 10s - cabtwell, Lawrence, even lowry? Also, how much do you think he should be setting aside for clement rebuild?

Hi David and podders Do you think the manager will be ruthless with regard to the senior pros in the squad that have been in hiding since 55 when the going gets tough?

If the new manager s intent on a 4-4-2 formation do you think it will benefit players like Cantwell and Raskin who were performing well together at the end of last season. Raskin seems to have sat in front of our back 4 more this season in our central 3 to (I think) the detriment of his game. I realise potentially pushing up a wee bit might impact the defence.

David, do you think the club worry too much about the feelings of the support and thus make decisions based on social media noise, than rather than having a clear strategic plan? Or are we just conditioned that the club ignores the support and so it feels weird when they do listen to us 😁

H&H spoke to Belgian based journalists about clement but did anyone speak to any Monaco ones ? They’re saying he had a win rate but lost all big games - no system - just relied on a bit of magic from someone- Monaco fans are making him sound like Beale tbh !

Imo the fans online and especially at Ibrox need to calm down a bit I understand that it can get frustrating etc but as someone who often takes a child and from a father’s perspective I have heard from others there kids aren’t enjoying the doom gloom and over the top reaction if its 0 0 after 20 minutes nor can they understand booing team off after a win.
