Like the new set up with the app! The no new managers popping up is a shame, I really hoped KT would kick on maybe take the pars job but it seems he went into hibernation. Really had my hopes pinned on him. Since we went down the tubes in 2012 the Scottish game has been slowly getting worse every year, alot of this is all aimed at the spfl and who's running out game, it's not done for the greater good it's down for one team and that's not right.

Jim McCutcheon

Hi David 👋, let's hope the story ends well 👍

Charlie Nicolson

Wonder if David Martindale would be considered for a role at Rangers?

Russ

Do you still do the women's show on H&H? I've kept up with their content on RTV and watched them when they've been on and they're far better this season under Potter than last. They don't mind shooting for one! But aye, it's looking good for the women's team atm, it'd be cool if there's a roundup for it. If there is and I've missed it apologies. Hopefully I'm not being narky like haha. Cheers.

Charlie Nicolson

He's doing reasonably well with limited resources at Livingston. Working day-to-day in Scottish football in a hands-on role, and certainly understands the need to win at Rangers.

Ross Thomson

Big Eck story: Must have been his first season because I'm sure I was at Fir Park when we got beat off Motherwell on Boxing Day.

Gregg

Think it’s a non starter - think he’s £ for £ the best of the rest. He has his team playing in a way that’s not transferable to the way we play and has no history in coaching in that way. Not to say he couldn’t. And I think his history would get dragged up by the gutter press - not that it would bother me but don’t see it happening. Hard to see which ex Ger could be part of the set up tbh - McCann, Thomson or Davis possibly. I saw Ferguson quoted in one of the papers (just saw the headline). Jesus wept

Martin Boyd

Last manager I got excited about was PLG that didn’t turn out well😅 Since I just give them time which seems sensible.

Spoon

Really sorry to do this to you Gregg but….I agree with almost everything you said. Very much a niche guy at a club where it all clicks but don’t see anything to think it upscales or translates and like it or not his past would be an issue for many not only out with the club but within.

Spoon

Your boot room discussion is spot on David but sadly football clubs as a whole seem to be far more into buying cookie cutter staff / players and less about building your own. Maybe it’s just a modern progression but we pay lip service to coaching and development a bit these days wether it true pathways for youth players to first team or our players / coaches working through a similar management academy. Would be great to see us create something to bring coaches or players looking to move over to coaching through wedded to our footballing ethos….we probably need a DOF first though to set what it is!

Robbie McCarroll

I’d love to see KT at coach but given he has been passed up a few times I get the feeling he isn’t going to be appointed. Alex Rae and Davis would make sense to me. Maybe Big Eck for 6months like when Smith went to Man Utd…

David

A pet of mine is referring to us a "project".

Robbie McCarroll

Always speaks well on RTV and I liked his attitude as a player. Given the few week cameo hopefully there is evidence either way to make a decision

Brett

Surprised he accepted the job after watching the games this season

Chris Brash

Can you ask Philippe Clement tomorrow how he prefers to do his recruitment of players? By himself or with the help/guidance of a DOF?

Leslie White

The new manager might be a Pep, however one area we have to take out of our football. It’s a thing called Officialdom, in other words the bent shower of Referees. He will also have to in-force the Refs with the type of inTimidation that the other crowd do.

Craig

Did PC have hair before he watched our games?

keith wright

I don’t agree with Davis at this time, just purely as he is to close to these bunch of players and has be part of the process of treat the rest of the league as if there world beaters. I’d prefer someone who’s not been directly involved with this current crop of players.

Raskul

Surreal, i'm actually beginning to feel a tad excited about Phillipe Clement as our manager. That's not like me whatsoever.

Brian Rae

One thing that I find refreshing is that he's turned down far more money elsewhere in order to manage us. For me, that says a lot about his character and I really hope this works out for both him and us. I think we may finally have a proper, experienced manager.

Graham Jones

I’d be happy with Steven Davis if he’s the choice. It would provide the c lab with someone who they know that the manager can turn to when it’s specific to the club or the Scottish league. Let’s leave the fixation with Beale behind. We have a new manager, and let’s remember Beale as someone who was part of a successful team who build a title winning side. Any pettiness should be left at the door from now on, because we’re now churning over old ground, and to be honest it feels like we’re the ones living in the past. Let’s’ look forward with the new manager and give him everything we have.

John Palmer

The last home grown Manager that we looked at as a future RFC Gaffer was Derek McInnes but he ruined that after he said no to the job before RFC hired Ge55ard. Since then there has been no one that we can all feel comfortable to come and sit in the big seat.

Rose Mcloughlin

The one thing I spotted in the talk our new Manager said with his style of football the players would have to adjust but then it would click into place and we would see the kind of results we are all dying to see but it will take time...I think its not just the players who need to adjust its us fans...we have been battered and let down so many times since 2012 we despertly yearn for the steady success we knew before and our hopes rise with each new Manager ....I feel even more sorry for the younger fans who have not experienced the feeling like our 9 in a row years....but our support needs to change..we need to keep cheering the team on and hopefully this is the right Manager...wish Eck was there to build up their confidence too..best boss ever to do that... .and lastly I hope the board keep their nerve and keep Butland and start to build a strong team...not giving away every assett we have to help English clubs.

Cracking story about big eck 👏
