Simon

Hated Tintin as a kid until I actually started watching it one summer holiday. Bought the dvd box set for my first kid. Her and the boy love it as just as much.

Simon

Did anyone prefer the Dandy to the Beano?

Simon

Bounty? Fuck off Colin.

Charlie Nicolson

If you're in Brussels, find the statue of Jeanneke Pis, turn round and go into the pub downstairs

Charlie Nicolson

15⁰ in spring = taps aff. 15⁰ in autumn = baltic

Rona Bluebell

Before I forget, and totally random, but think you would like Mr Inbetween on Disney. Australian dark comedy

Ross B

Galaxy > dairy milk

Jack Shaw

I honestly can’t remember what we were talking about. When did cyclical breathing come up?

Colin

I’ve watched it. It’s excellent. Short episodes, bursts of violence and eating dimmies all the time. Anne from neighbours too!

David Wylie

Brilliant show, must have watched 3 or 4 times. Have you seen the original movie that the series is based off "The Magician" (2005) , its good and there are little nods to it in the series. (The film is not a must watch for the tv series, just original concept and has similar bits in the tv series)

Paul Kerr

Nestlé Crunch is the king of chocolate bars. Kit Kat is really popular in Japan, one of the reasons is that kitto katsu means "certain to win" so they see them as good luck. Andy showing he's as old as me. The numbskulls were in the Beezer first then the Beano. They were always the first and last pages in the Beezer annual. Dr Evil's father was Nigel Powers...

Rona Bluebell

I read the backstory about the original film. Apparently very difficult to find now. Can’t believe he’s only played one character in his career, and was also a monk I think?

Graham McCallum

Jack that was fucking brilliant. The Belgians have a bit of shitebaggery about them 😂

Iain McGilvray

I do cold water therapy 4 times a week up the Campsies. Game changer lads. More positive, energetic and helps with inflammation and sports injuries and sleep better too. Doesn’t kill libido except for the fact yer baws turn into ovaries when you’re in the water 😂

Gregg

Really interesting guy - bit out there to be fair - climbing Everest in a pair of shorts. He can do some really interesting stuff with breathing and has done it under lab conditions

Jack Shaw

Cause one maniac climbs a mountain in flip flops, doesn’t mean that’s the new standard. It’s interesting but - He’s a freak if he’s doing that. David Blaine stayed in a box for 44 days and people tossed stones and hamburgers at him.

Jack Shaw

I think similar could be achieved by doing something else routinely. Like exercise, long walks, nice hot bath, sauna, steam room etc. I don’t think having something like that in your life is negative at all but I do feel it’s very much in vogue cause it was on the tele and then influencers start with it and it grows from there.

Andy McGowan

How on earth did we win world wars without cyclical breathing and cold water therapy?

Gary Staff

I’m imagining Andy as Walter Matthau and Colin as Jack Lemon

Gregg

Don’t think it’s a standard and he obviously does have and extreme gift that he can withstand extremes. I did the cold shower thing and it was pretty decent to be fair. Give it a go and see how you like it 😂😂

Simon

‘Mon Jack, join the cold water club. Week 1, at the end of your shower turn it to cold for 30 seconds, first 5 seconds are the worst. Week 2, 1 minute at the end of your shower. Week 3, 90 secs, week 4, 2 minutes. I’ve felt it helps me in the head. Been doing it since March and just do full cold showers now.

Gregg

Be good content as well - we update on how you got on!!! Come on brother - get high on your own supply

Gregg

To Andy’s point on breathing - James Nestor has an interesting book about it. We have changed how we breath over hundreds of years - the shape of our head and size of our noses has changed over hundreds of years where we used to breath predominantly through our noses. Training yourself to do it can help with loads of things - like snoring which is caused by mouth breathing!!! Loads of good techniques that help with a plethora of medical conditions as well - such as anxiety. It’s more interesting than it sounds 😂

Simon

I’ll add that I have always hated the cold and now I am far more tolerant if that makes any sense.

Gregg

Things evolve big man - we are sitting on iPhones which never helped us win world wars. Get the shower turned down ya big shitebag

Gregg

Think it’s a bit of both Jack - my mrs does it down the beach with her pals and the shared experience, social element no doubt has a positive impact as well. I’ve done it once and it’s fucking murder - but you do feel good afterwards.

Gregg

So rather than putting your jacket on you just bust out a quick mental breathing technique? Could be awkward in the queue for a pie at ibrox 😂

Heart and Hand

See on that cold water stuff, my stepdaughter was trying to get me to do it. I refused on the grounds that it’s A) stupid B) cold

Gregg

Reckon you boys should have more of an open mind - could be a great segment at the next live show. Presenting from a plunge bath!!! Hopefully no wi Colin as he’d piss in it

Ray

My mate genuinely pishes in his kitchen sink when he’s on the lash, this is to avoid going upstairs and waking up his wife as she’ll give him an earful for still being up on the lash himself at 2 in the morning 🤣 clarty bastard and I always like to bring it up and shame him

Lynsey Roddy

The Numskulls were in the Beezer which latterly merged with the Topper to become the Beezer Topper. They were all DC Thomson publications as are the The Beano & The Dandy. . Oor Wullie & The Broons were annuals that came out on alternate years, both were also from DCT.

Paul Kerr

I have to say as a wee boy I was always disappointed when it was The Broons turn.

Mark

Daphne Broon is the kind of female that Mark Dingwall starts picture threads about on FF

Simon

Excellent book, that’s what got me looking into the wim hoff stuff.

Gregg

Might be another one starting soon - and everyone has iPhones

Simon

Nah, it’s more the cold just doesn’t bother me as much as it used to.

Martin Davies

Hersheys milk choc tastes like vomit - I believe it shares some chemical characteristics of puke so its not just in my head!!!

Kirk Guthrie

Absolutely fuckin hilarious today gents

Iain McGilvray

All true. I started it after getting the 2nd jab to go to Seville. Felt fucked after it and couldn’t shake the lethargy I was feeling. Exercise, diet and walking didn’t shake it til I tried the cold water. There is too many influencers out there making a coin out of it, but fair play to them. I just like doing it

Gary Staff

You should talk to my boy. He’s autistic and loves DC Thompson comics. He’s has a subscription for the Beano, and is a member of the Dennis the Menace fan club. He could talk the hind legs of a donkey about the History of DC Thompson. He’s Sixteen so he also has a subscription for Viz 😀

Colin

Andy doesn’t. He is on a 3210 and his house phone has a rotary dial. Has to hang up and call you back after 59 mins as it’s chargeable.

Gary Staff

You know what mate I’m going to give this a try. Keep up the good work boys yous make my Friday shift fly by

Colin

Let us know how you enjoy “getting high on your own supply”

Jack Mair

I just got back holiday today and brought a good few of the 3 musketeers bars back with me, actually really nice considering it’s American chocolate. Probably more of a biscuit but the disco bars from Aldi are addictive like a twix with m&ms on top

Mark wood

We had drinks with black rebel motorcycle club going to an away game in Europe.we were on there tour bus at Dover then again on the boat great times.even gave us cds

Seumais Simpson

Fucking superb band. Saw them at the Barrowlands. Plus they have a female drummer, which adds extra cool points.

Pedro

Yes, the minstrels and popcorn is superb 👌 never Nestle before cadburys though 😂 Also thought Amdy said Salty's 😂

Andrew Carter

Best RBR in about 12 weeks 😂 Ive missed the real stuff , Papa Shwartz must be due a revisit 😂😂

Danny

Need to get yourself a marbabou daim bar of chocoate. Best thing going.
