Rangers fail to close the gap at the top after dropping two points at Pittodrie.

Alan Baxter

People just bored of it now. Only reason Celtic won’t win a treble this year again is they blew it themselves, not because we are any good to win anything

Alan Baxter

Just so frustrated after i thought we were turning a corner and an expected boost from yesterday.

David N

Fair summary of the game David, hope you feel better soon.

John Smith

Get yourself a sleep David

George Higgins

Yes disappointing but I don’t agree with your comments about mentality. We could and should have won by at least two goals. But for the woodwork we are comfortable. I do agree about Cantwell but Barasic is done. Too negative we need a left back that goes to the byline.

Kenny Morrison

Barasic was a great crosser of the ball on the wing but the half way line is his limit now terrified of getting caught out down the pitch .We have far too many Journeymen in the team . After today’s game this is a huge warning for Cup final day !.

Gregg

Don’t think it helped sima didn’t play well - barasic is a bit of a one trick pony now. It’s a major concern ridvan can’t dislodge him

Mr J K Murray

the tempter is abound sir, leaves us awaiting a result [this has been going on for years] but also leaves some matches & petrol so we can dissolve our selves again,i know we know this but does not make it any easier to keep excepting it, question is can this manager & his' team turn this state of affairs around, midfield wide open, to high a back line, an inability to just game the game in must win games, they will be too exhausted to cross a brook if this pressure continues to mount for this season as we have seen with these players, they are not up for the big game, yors may take up smoking again hic

James Anderson

Message to Mr Clement Beware: History tells us that messrs, Tavanier, Goldson, Lundstrum and Barisic....will get you sacked if not disposed of.

Adam

We're all a little guilty of getting too high when things are going well and getting too low when things go wrong. Hopefully big Phil isn't the same. As an aside, our league record at Pittodrie has been shocking for decades. Are we perhaps guilty as a club of giving it a bigger status than is merited!? Hope you feel better soon mate.

Jamie Bell

We have the right manager. We don't have the right players.

Gary Shaw

Hitting the woodwork twice doesn’t tell the full story…we were mince for the majority of the game against a team that have won 6 games all season, one of those 6 was against Stirling Albion and one against a beleaguered Mick Beale side…don’t try and cover it up with a header from a corner and a shot that Lawrence didn’t even catch right….they were through on goal twice in the opening 10 minutes ffs

George Higgins

Not trying to cover up anything. Just pointing out that we could have won the game and dominated second half. I’ve pointed out where I think we’re particularly weak. Clement was never going to solve everything in six weeks. I get we’re disappointed but it’s not as bleak as some are painting it.

Gary Shaw

We could and should have been 2 down inside 10 minutes…I’ve got to disagree and say it is pretty bleak…we win the games that we’re expected to and every time there’s a tough game we crumble more often than not…umpteen cup games and more OF games than I care to remember.

Gregg

A lot of our fans are never happier than when they’re miserable. Dunno if it’s always been this or it’s a 2012 hangover.

Gregg

Of course not mate - but I enjoy us winning games. One draw and people are back on here whining away. It was disappointing and deflating after yesterday. It wasn’t the shit show of a performance you’d think and we should have won the game.

Gary Shaw

Gregg,Aberdeen will be going away thinking they could have been out of sight after 10 minutes mate…I’m certainly not happy watching my team continually make a balls of it when push really comes to shove….its not a one off performance in the middle of a 30 game undefeated streak….this happens all the time bar a freak closed door season…there’s a reason this team consistently fall apart,it can’t always be bad luck and “ah ,we hit the bar twice “ nonsense…just like there’s a reason that mob have won 12 out of 13 titles and 5 trebles to boot, there’s a reason why we keep coming up short when it really matters.

Alastair McGeoch

Same old same old with these players. Had a chance to cut the gap, apply pressure to Celtic and also lay a marker down for the cup final in 2 weeks and again they fail. I am more raging at myself for thinking “it’s on” after seeing Celtic drop points yesterday than our players for doing what they have consistently done for 2-3 seasons.

Gregg

Choosing to always see the worst is just not for me - genuinely think we have a support who never happier than when they can have a good old moan. Your comment kinda captures it perfectly mate, We seem now to wallow in misery - bit like them with their victim hood mentality. We’ve hit a bump in the road - we have a good manager and a squad that needs improved.

Gary Shaw

We’re constantly hitting bumps in the road though, that’s the problem…when do we come to terms with the fact that we just don’t seem to have the killer instinct and it’s not just a “bump”.

Gary Shaw

The facts are there in black and white…we more often than not fail and they more often than not triumph…I understand that’s hard to hear for the more naive supporters but it’s just factually correct.

Andy Gray

People are on ‘whining away’ as they are sick to the back teeth of these results. If this was a one off then I would get it your assessment but if you think “one draw” and dropping 2 points to a team shit out of form then you clearly are happy with mediocrity. Any title race is built upon picking up points when your rivals slip and we were gift wrapped an unexpected chance to reduce the gap and once again this group of players shat the bed. Without the benefit of a VAR penalty we’d actually have lost ground to that mob. It’s pathetic.

CJT

Hard to argue with any of that David. Surely we see the patterns. Same faces doing the same thing season after season. Run of results, sometimes with decent performances, then failure when the opportunity to apply a bit of scoreboard pressure presents itself or the games that make your season come around. Feels like we’ve got the right manager for once. Big challenge around how we support him. The abject failure of the last 2 summers will make that difficult. Backline badly needs a refresh. Midfield is lacklustre and likes to revert to ‘shit lateral passing’ when things get tough and if Sima ain’t on it we look very powderpuff up front. Where to start the recruitment is therefore really difficult call, maybe start with who you’d want to keep. That’s probably the goalie, Raskin if he can get fit, Sima if we can afford him, Cantwell if we can find where to play him, Lawrence if fit (again) , Danilo and a few of the youngsters breaking through. Rest need to be gone over the next 3 or 4 windows so plan that now starting with priority positions. I know most want Lammers and Dessers out first but IMO we need rid of Barisic and Lundstrum as a matter of urgency and they need replaced by more dynamic progressive players. Oh aye and please leave the snobbery and opinions of the twitter doyens behind and just get someone, even short term, proven to score goals in Scotland. Seems we’ve seen a few this season who’d do a job.

John Palmer

Hitting the bar more than once and the keeper having his best day in a Sheep shirt is outwith our control. Something just didn't feel right yesterday and I can't quite put my finger on it, Yes we had some poor deliveries but we dominated the ball, posession and every player pushed forward to break them down. I'm PC will fix this ASAP and we'll prosper in our next outing

Gregg

It was just a clear penalty - not entirely sure what you are getting at. We have a squad that has serious deficiencies and we are going to have set backs. That said we should have won yesterday. A few wins - everyone is happy and concentrating on moaning at Todd Cantwell the other week for a wee silly incident. Cos we are an angry support who needs to moan at something. I will leave it there - I shouldn’t involve myself when the moaning starts. Find it draining - reason I am not on social media etc. have a good Monday

Gary Shaw

I appreciate all fans see and rate things differently…some are happy going 7 games undefeated against the super powers that are Dundee,Livi,Aberdeen etc..for others, that should just be the bare minimum and when Rangers are presented with a glorious chance to really impose themselves they fluff their lines for the umpteenth time.

Gary Shaw

Celtic get pegged back against Aberdeen at Pittodrie and go right up the park and score again, they go to Tynecastle and skelp hearts ,they go down to 10 men away at Live and go on to win comfortably…We just don’t have that mentality and that’s why we’re continually second best
