On Sima, I think a fee in the region of £4m-£5m would get him. Brighton do a lot of eye catching business, but each summer they also make 2-3 sales of players they've taken a punt on, stuck out on loan for 2 or 3 years and sell on at a small loss (think sign for £5m, sell for £3m type losses.) Sima falls into that category IMO. Brighton are quite sensibly run; a small loss in summer is better than no fee in 2025 and they can mitigate their loss to a degree by sticking in a sell on, so if we were to flip him for a profit in 2 years they'd get a cut.

Sima would cost the vast majority of our budget in January and it won't improve what we currently have with Sima on loan. Fee would have to be right.

Actually Tav has 12 Goals in all competitions this season so Sima hasn't quite displaced him yet lol In all seriousness though, the point still stands. We don't have enough players who get to that realm. We need to have at least two to three players who should be hitting these levels, with others not far behind. Sima I think will be a tough purchase, especially if he does well thus holding his value. I wonder if we could maybe push the purchase down the line and take him on loan again, this time with an obligation to buy at an agreed price the following summer.

What is Raskins injury?, Ankle ligaments?

A song written 50 years ago, that is still out the top drawer by comparison today. A timeless classic.

Is Sima likely to become a 9, 10 or 15 million pound player? I don’t think so. He’s athletic and a good finisher but his technical ability will never reach EPL level. I wouldn’t buy him. He’s not worth 5m to Rangers, but maybe another club.

Callum Dinnen

A Premier League club has already paid £7m for him. If he hits 20 goals a season for us for 2 years and does well in Europe, we could easily see someone paying that for him again.

Thanks for the update David and Andy B.

8pm KO for a friendly in the middle of January is really poor. Surely half 7 would be better and more likely help shift tickets

Thanks for the shout out for Fay. Made her day
