It's Die Hard from 1988, When Jack was 3, Colin was 4 and Andy was 26.

Jack and Andy love it, Colin thought he had seen it but turns out it was the playstation game he had played. Tune in to here their thoughts on the film, Willis, Rickman and all things Die Hard

John Smith

One of the greatest films ever made and the second greatest Xmas movie of all time next to Lethal Weapon

Craig Fryatt

Don’t worry Colin , I’m frequently confusing football transfers with games of Football Manager these days.

Simon

Go watch Predator then watch Prey.

Ross

Busby was a character.

David Gregg

As a kid, going to a phone box, dialling 100 and asking to speak to busby, good times 😎

William Given

A canny believe you haven't seen Predator and then spoke about Authur Fowler 🤯🤯🤯

Thomas scroggie

Merry Christmas guys hope yous all have a belter

David Blackbourn

Cant believe you've never seen Predator. Stop re-watching boxsets and catch up on some classic movies.

Alan Shaw

Can we withdraw colins man card please

Rona Bluebell

Ah, the three wise men podcast. Excellent and very very funny. I was Busby at our school fair day as a child - had to dance in front of the whole town - character building stuff. Off to see Die Hard at the Scotsman Picture house this year for our family movie outing, but The Bishops Wife with Cary Grant is on iPlayer if you want your hearts gently melted instead. Merry Christmas all 🥰🥳🎅🏻🎄

Scott Shanks

Jean-Claude Van Damme films for me growing up. Bloodsport, Cyborg, Street fighter and kick-boxer. Unreal.

Calum Downham

It hasn't aged much, apart from near the start of the movie when John McClane is checking in at the hotel lobby. He's using a touchscreen computer and calls it a "cute toy". From that point on in the movie, you know he is hard as nails Agree Rickman makes the movie. He’s amazing as Snape as Colin said

Iain Campbell

Die Hard 2 is more of a Xmas movie than the first one. And Colin, how the fuck have you not seen Predator?

Iain Campbell

And the Hunt For Red October!!! Come on to fuck Colin

Charlie Nicolson

Miriam Margoyles' book? Any interesting stories to share?

Paul Kerr

Never seen Predator but all up in Arthur Fowler's mental breakdown... FFS Colin I was impressed when you bigged up Gone Baby Gone on wtm but you've just lost all street cred. Do you get your fanny waxed the same place you get your beard trimmed?

Dougie

Busby was the wee yellow BT birdie! And yes im an auld bastard like Andy 😎

Andy McGowan

I mean, of all the autobiographies in the world, what kind of person picks up Miriam Margoyles and says " THIS IS THE ONE FOR ME!"

David Clapperton

The guy that plays Mark Fowler done the funniest thing ever on a daft celebrity ice skating programme. He lost control and fucked off doon a big dark tunnel never to be seen again. I’m probably no doing it justice for just got funny it was but you’ll get it on YouTube. It is fucking tremendous. 🤣🤣

LD

Colin can't watch The Bishop's Wife, it's black and white.

Iain hughes

Can we please do a monthly show where Colin has to watch a film that he’s never seen and then report back to the group for ridicule / discussion? Same format as this. I enjoyed the chat about the behind the scenes stuff and the trivia. Predator needs to be first but the Fugitive is a good one to do as well

Steven Harrigan

Die Hard, Predator and First Blood have all stood the test of time.

Lynsey Roddy

I remember Busby, my uncle worked for the Post office & cleaning phone boxes was part of his job for some reason & he had a Busby soft toy. I remember the adverts with him on the phone wires. In my opinion Rickman’s best baddie was as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Great listen again lads! Merry Christmas to you all!

Tamus

Love an RBR fact. Mark Fowler goes to Heart Beat 😁 actual fact, he goes to The Bill and pumps is Maw (PC June Akland)

Tamus

Busby was like a wee version of Big Bird, auld bastard Loyal RSC. Also Colin 2024 is the year to cone out dude. Everyone Anyone 🦄 🌈

Alan Stewart

Merry Christmas lads, thanks for your content over the last 12 months, absolutely superb. Big Andy is a cracking addition to RBR.

Rona Bluebell

Whit? Aye, like Die Hard is an instruction to the terminally ill sexually frustrated I suppose 🤔

Bluelacoste

I remember Busby, I also remember of you see Sid will you tell him. When BT when public

Gary Brown

Good show lads. Merry Christmas to all. Colin - Jeezo! Spend more time watching classic movies and less watching car crash reality TV mate. Buzby. Named after the "I'll give you a buzz" (on the phone) phrase popular at the time. Edit: PS. Just remembered a Die Hard tale. Christmas shopping with my flatmate who bought the newly released VHS as a friend's present. We went home, watched it & then he wrapped it. "Pretty cheeky doing that" I said "They'll never know" he replied. Then handed me the present and went "You'll never guess what this is. Merry Christmas!" 😆

Martin Boyd

I’ve never seen Predator not my thing. Sounds shit. Maybe I’m too old 🤷‍♂️

stephen

Watching Hans Grubber getting launched off the Nakatomi Plaza signifies the official start of Xmas. Merry Xmas everyone.

Iain Macfarlane

We’ll all watch the predators on the 30th, Colin - do a podcast about it,. BTW, Silent Night" (German: "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht") is a popular Christmas carol, composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria. Not sure if that qualifies Die Hard as an official Christmas movie but either way fuck the tarriers. My mate had the porno version Dead Hard. Classic.
