Yes David we need to keep this going obviously ,I believe we will Phil has the team performing well and I've full confidence in him and his decisions, up to the guys on the park to take us on the journey to dare I say the league champions 😀👏👍

Charlie Nicolson

A valuable contribution from Goldson and the Rangers Charity Foundation. Can any of the podders or other listeners perform CPR?

Gregg

Love finding new music from the DU - this one today is great.

Gregg

I’m a first aider - only had to use it once when a lady collapsed in front of me at an atm. Thankfully CPR wasn’t required, something everyone should do though

Billy Forrester

I’m a first aid instructor and hopefully have helped others save someone’s life, u never know when it is needed

Mike Black

Love that picture. Big Phil has something which GvB and Beale didn't have. A game face.

Donald Mackay

Without the Beale debacle we would not now have Clement as manager. That doesn’t justify his tenure in any way. But, in a certain sense, by being so dreadful he has possibly ushered in a new glittering era for the club. It’s a funny old game.

Stephen

To be fair to Beale , no one is going to turn up on the first day of a new job and admit to all the stupid things they did in their last one. Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes for his own sake.

Martin Boyd

Couldn’t care less what Beale has to say much like ex players and managers once they are gone they are gone.

When I was a kid there were just the two Old Firm league games, in September and New Year, and they were massive. Everybody looked forward to them for months and doing the double over them was very special. If you lost it meant months with a cloud over you, but if you won you were on a high till the next one. The coming of the Premier League has gradually diminished the game from what it once was. We almost always played them in one or both of the cups almost every season too, and the cup games felt different. I'd go to a 16 or 18 team league next season if we could. Sadly the people running the game don't seem interested.

Allan Osborne

True. But he should have been out after that game v them in September. Had he been and we still got Clement in I believe we'd be well in front now.

Micheal Beale yesterday confirmed to even his biggest cheerleaders that he is a total bullshitter and I predict that he'll not last a year in his current post. The upgrade we've made on him is beyond comparison and I hope that's the last we hear about him for a very long time.

Gregg

💯 enjoying what we have now - let’s look forward not back. Wish him no ill, he was out of his depth

Graeme Winning

If it was to go to a bigger league and 2 old firm’s a season plus cup ties, they could introduce a super cup/charity shield type game at start of season which 9/10 would be rangers and them

David A

I`m glad we have Philippe Clement as manager but good luck to Michael Beale at Sunderland I hope he is successful

Robbie McCarroll

Loved CG comments, pardon the pun but a charity close to my heart. I have had a few heart ops and love when people ask about my scar so I can make up something ridiculous like bear attack, Connor always speaks so well and a topic that affects many well done again big man !

Gordon Smith

Travelling home from Australia for Christmas. Would love to go to the Ross County game with my dad. If anyone can help me out, or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Angus Mackay

I had also noticed the players adopting the managers ideas and arguments, Davie. Like you say, it’s s great sign snd shows real buy in.

John Walker

I'm an electrician in Australia as part of my licence we have to do a CPR course every year. The company pays for it.

Rona Bluebell

Yes, fully trained. Also installed defribillators on all sites as that was the shocking stat in training, the survival difference if you have one is huge.

Thanks for the Daily Update David. Agree the crowd need to cut the players more slack. Far more slack, far more often. The toxic atmosphere towards certain players will not help them in any way. The general attitude of 'Impress me, entertain me, Now!' has to be dialed down. First trophy for a while, topped our UEL group & last 16 and everyone is delighted - rightly so. But the reality is 3 trophies in 12 years. I'm totally confident this manager will change that. He wants synergy between fans & team to help him do that. Fans NEED to do their part to help the team succeed. Opposing managers openly state their gameplan is to frustrate and shut up shop to get the Ibrox crowd on the Rangers players backs - and far, far too many fans fall right into that trap! Shout & criticise opposition players, unsettle them, put THEM off their game. It's actually more fun too! Noticed watching the post match interviews the mood of the players, even the look in their eyes, has a lot more steely determination and 'first' and 'more' being said in a manner of an objective, not merely soundbytes.

One solution to an 18 team league meaning only 2 old firm games would be to have regional group stages in the league cup so rangers and Celtic are. guaranteed to meet in that. Alt all the euro qualifiers in the same group That would of course mean some joined up thinking selling league and league cup as a package to guarantee 3 old firm games so I’m wasting my time typing this it would never happen
