Great show. What a season - easy to forget a lot of aspects of that season. That Gazza goal at Legoland and that hat-trick game v Aberdeen seem like yesterday….

And for goal of the season for me it was Gazza at Parkhead, maybe biased as lucky enough to be there and the celebrations right in front of us. Not technically the best but for lots of other reasons.

The move itself was a great bit of play and the ball to release Gazza was superb Paul

I went and watched it again on YouTube- Gazza racing through the middle and as you say the pass was perfect

A well put together show Grant and Mr McGowan is always money

One of if not the best season ever at Ibrox watching Gasgoine and Laudrup strutting their class all over the pitch The build up of excitement and expectation for every home game made it all the more special.

Good pod lads. @AndyM - I was also at Ibrox that day for Gazza unveiling. Beautiful sunny day, high excitement all round.

Gazza signing is what got me into football. I was quit introverted as a youngster but when Gazza signed it seemed it was everywhere. Luckily my old man and family are bears and I began watching Scot sport to see what the fuss was about and started watching games with my Dad in the pub. Getting me into Rangers and football as massive for me looking back, helped me build a real bond with my old man, my uncles, as an introvert being able to talk about football is usually a handy ice breaker when in social situation as well! Can remember this season like it was yesterday, the platform to 9 in a row, Euro 96 etc at a time when I was 16 with britpop and all the rest of it!

Loved the nostalgia of this….a roasting hot summer, brilliant music and great films…what a time to be alive……For me,Laudrup is the greatest player that I have seen in a Rangers jersey but I don’t think I fell in love with a player as much as I did with Gascoigne…talk about capturing the imagination….I was a bleach blonde fan boy I’m afraid to say 😂

The Scottish Cup Final was the Easter Sunday and me & my mates were out celebrating afterwards with the Monday off… bumped into a few players in the town and much fun was had 🍻

Thinking about the discussion about Petric… there’s a bit of context that Richard Gough had been poor for 18mths and looked to be done. He was off the pace, making errors and had got into this habit of fouling players in most challenges because his tackling was to slow. The move to 3 at the back rejuvenated Gough - he stormed back to form over 95/96 and then 96/97 with the return of a burst of pace and an reading of what was about to happen in a match that had him in the right positions.
