George Higgins

My view for some time has been Ridvan is the key to whether we get anyone in.

Heart and Hand

I didn’t say that, and it didn’t come from anyone. I had a few emails asking about it. I still expect movement in.

Pedro

Good comparison around the loam situation, but note that Italian football is also laced with bribery scandal amd corruption. The current rules here at least keep a clear demarcation and as outlined prevent unwanted pressure on a young emerging player.

James Stewart

i would like to see loaded players play against us as its really the only time we will see what these players have to offer but i do see the pro's and con's

Jock Paterson

A wonderful statistic on most successful manager. How can there be no footage of Bill Struth speaking? I’ve never even heard an audio clip. Is this right?

Tamus

I find it baffling that folk say they wouldn't take Van Veen. "he's not good enough for Rangers" Is he better than Dessers and an injured Danilo who can't play? Is he better than Sam Lammers? Is he better than bringing in no-one else up front? He is a proven SPFL striker who scored a barrow load last season (I think he's available for free) An 18 month deal on a low wage is an absolute low risk shooty in

James McSween

Did Bajram Fetai not play against us on loan at Inverness Caley ?

James McSween

Also can hear the dog snoring in the background 😍🐶

Heart and Hand

I am sorry about that! She’s had an op and won’t leave my side right now. If I put her in another room for recording she barks so that’s even worse 😀

James McSween

Just checked Google and it’s true we drew 1-1 and he came on as a late sub and nearly scored 🙈 Prunty scored a last minute equaliser

Mr J K Murray

came on as a sub 70th minute in 1 v 1 draw-And Fetai forced a stunning reaction save from Waterreus following some pinball play in the Rangers box. -spelling wrong on team sheet here-Inverness CT: Brown, Tokely, Dods, Munro, Golabek, Wilson (Fatai 70), Hart, McBain, Duncan, Juanjo, Bayne (Prunty 74). Subs Not Used: Fraser, McCaffrey, Hastings, Proctor, Black. [March 2005 lol]

Stephen Grant

Could be done with one or two incoming players , maybe even loans if possible

We sold in the summer where I believe beale said we broke about even! Looks like we're trying to flood ridvan because we can get a bit for him and buy 2 in. It's the penny jar getting rattled. We just don't have the cash from the board and I hope clement doesn't get sick of this and leave

Heart and Hand

This is what a break even club looks like. The days of rich men giving us money are over unless anyone knows a billionaire who fancies it!

Brian trump

When are we blaming the board for this mess. Mistake after mistake. These guys don’t have the ability to take us forward. So far out their depth it’s untrue

David Kiltie

In the summer we sold Colak, Kamara and Sakala, plus the Tillman compensation and the loan fee for Hagi. I thought we had broken even but the fees we paid were higher than first thought. Can anyone please clarify?

Heart and Hand

Yeah I think Beale was a bit economical with the truth. Plus people think ‘free’ transfers are free. It would have cost about 1.5-2m in agents fees, signing-on-fees etc to get Butland. And of course our ridiculous wage bill (for what we get from it) is an issue again.

Graham Jones

Had Struth been English he would be celebrated around the world. He was a maverick and pioneer who changed the game and built the Rangers we all know. Lawrence, Waddell, Murray etc all played a part in the modern stadium, but Struth created the standards we live by still. I’m not sure for how much longer FFP is. There needs to be some regulation, but it’s now reached a point where root and branch regulation is needed internationally. The Arab leagues are causing unsustainable inflation in the player market. That’s affecting how we operate from one window to another, but the club needs to look at creating higher year on year revenue, so I suspect we;ll probably revisit the stadium expansion once they’ve cleared the current plans for this summer.

Heart and Hand

The board made the huge cock-up in the summer by letting Beale have his way/no DoF. We’re playing catch-up now.

Gordon Bannerman

The three peaks are not Britain’s highest peaks, they’re all in Scotland 😁

Fraser86

I hear what your saying and I understand we are a even keel kinda club, but sitting in that directors box cost you money end of! It's a very expensive seat with alot of expectation and I don't feel break even seat for free applies just my opinion.

Heart and Hand

Problem is even if we did get oil money in we couldn’t spend it due to FFP. Look at Newcastle - desperately need signings but can’t make any. And our board don’t have that sort of money anyway. I get saying ‘well they should move aside then’ but I don’t see a line of buyers.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David👍 All need to be patient with the transfer window. See where we stand on 1st Feb. Marathon, not a sprint!

Gregg

The board have appointed a good manager - there’s a lot of new guys in prominent positions and they deserve time to deliver. Blame will get us nowhere

Gregg

It doesn’t Fraser - in no other similar size successful business would there be an expectation on directors to put their hand in their pocket regularly. A lot of us grew up with Murray and have never gotten over the daddy complex. Sad to say but look across the city - Desmond isn’t and never has been dipping his hand in his pocket.

Brian trump

Yip looks good so far. Hard to tell with the staff though. You can still say they have been an absolute disaster up until now. Best in class blah blah blah. Everything they have touched is a farce

Fraser86

We're not like a plc business no football club is. DD has put plenty into there coffers over the years and there bad signings get swept under the carpet and only the successful ones get spoken about. Now I'm not one for a sugar daddy but every club needs "investment" the return champs league cash then they can claim back a percentage of that income not all of it a percentage that's for the position there in. Also I'm a fan I just want to see a successful team I feel we are a bit short and I'd like better

Heart and Hand

Desmond hasn’t. He actually takes money out. Celtic have established a much more successful trading model than us unfortunately, they have made big sales. But the basic truth is bud that no rich man is riding over the hill to give us money. This is how it’s going to be until we actually get good at buying and selling. We have been bloody appalling at it.

Fraser86

This is not what I want to hear 😂. Every successful club I can think of has cash knows how to spend it also, if we don't we are going to struggle to break this dominant era they have made for themselves on the back of our downfall

Fraser86

I mean they're taking the piss they've went and bought some khunt for 3 mill

Heart and Hand

Our problem has been exactly that mate - terrible recruitment. Too many duds, not selling well either. Here's hoping Nils Koppen has more success than Ross Wilson, who I thought was awful.

Gregg

I’m happy with us trying to be self funding and not reliant on investment - we just need to be better at it. There are plenty of clubs around Europe who do better than us because of it.

Gregg

Does the progress of mcausaland - when we weren’t pulling up trees - make a mockery of the suggestion that you have to bleed kids into the side when things are going well?? Get them in for me
