Won’t be the last trophy the boss will be holding this season.

KennyY

Thanks for the birthday shout out last week David and for arranging a great weekend of results as a present.

Damien Stubbs

Thought you were going to share some divisive views on gender identity there David not “banfields talking pish AGAIN”. Surely nobody disagrees with the opinion. One point on it though, if this guy done the same volume of talking pish to media down south near Beales appointment before us as he’s doing now that he’s left Scotland, no wonder we were so rotten. This guy should do less talking shite and more of his actual job. Perhaps the additional effort on the training pitch would reap better results.

Did rangers update the euro squad over the weekend? Can't seem to find clarification anywhere

Damien Stubbs

Completely. One of those that he would be better just being quiet in the hope the carnage they left is forgotten and the tarnish on their CV’s, because it is just that, may be forgotten quicker.

Craig Wilson

Love big Phil in press conferences. "don't know, don't care" "that's for the surgeon, I'm not a Dr" 🤣

Craig Armstrong

David, you're absolutely right any success this season is despite Beale and his team and solely down to Phil and his team. We could see this team was only going downhill and bereft of confidence due to it appearing they had no idea what Beale wanted them to do. This will be Phil's success and nowt to do with Beale

Gary Staff

I forgot about Booth and the Bad Angel. I really liked that album

Graham Roy

Totally agree David! Beale and his camp seem to have a different perspective from everyone who watched Rangers! The players look fitter, stronger and disciplined in what position they are playing! That is all down to the current coaching team and if Beale is saying he needs over 12 months before he can implement any of his own system then maybe football management isn’t the game for him!

Bomber Brown

Know how I know Beale was failing and Clement is the saviour? The players (multiple) have said as much.

Latimer

Well said on Banfield balony David.

Doug

If he's desperate to do so I think Beale can claim credit for having signed Butland and for helping to win the League Cup, having helped get us to the final. Anything else is extremely fanciful. There has been a measurable improvement in the team since his departure and I think the best example of this is players like Tavernier and Lundstrum. On form they are two of our best players, but they were mostly off the pace under Beale (though both still popped up with moments here and there simply down their talent). Cut to weeks later and both have returned to being lynchpins of the team, performing consistently week to week. This isn't a coincidence, this is a direct side effect of improved management. The whole team has looked more organised, more driven and like they are enjoying themselves more. If we win another trophy, it will be Clement's trophy. If we win the league it will be Clement's league. If we, having played so poorly throughout the group stage, go on to make a mark in Europe this season, that will be Clement's mark. Beale will be but a memory.

Very true David about last comment re previous manager Michael was not going to turn everything around philippe is the man 💪

Doug

That's fair, but he can only beat the teams put in front of him, which he did so I'll let him have 25% of the credit 😅

Colin Mathie

No Philippe, we shouldn't respect our opponents, we should be trying to hammer them every time.

Jock Paterson

I’ve only heard Banfield speak about 3 times and every time he’s made an arse of himself

Stephen

Sometimes things don’t work out and it’s better just to move on. Was watching Sunderland/ Middlesboro yesterday and I was still hoping Beale would win but I think it’s a bit much for them to claim a part in any success we have after they left. Would Beale let Pedro take credit for 55 because he signed Ryan Jack and Morelos?

Charles McIntyre

Some of the criticism of MB and his team I read on Follow Follow is over the top particularly when it gets a little personal. However I agree 100% with the points of criticism today on the Daily update.

Heart and Hand

Yeah no need to get personal, agreed. They tried their best, they failed. But don’t try to say the failure wasn’t failure!

Jim Milne

IMO Clement is the first "real" Manager we have had since Walter. Everything he does comes across as professional as well as firm but fair. Doesn't take trash or bait from media, and knows how to manage the team as well as individuals on a football and human level.

Graham Jones

I love the way the manager deals with the press. They get no room to spin his words. Not interested in what ex-employees say. They are out the building so they are irrelevant. To be honest there are worse people out there doing more damage to the reputation of the club, such as Paul Elliot, who’s used his public positions to poison Rangers reputation with complete lies.

stephen

Banfield's comments are just further proof of just how completely out of touch and utterly misguided that entire set up was. Desperate stuff from Banfield and I'd like to think somewhere Beale is having an "off the record" chat with him about futures comments.

Jim Milne

Not a chance. 100% Beale believes the same, maybe even stronger opinion it's his success.

David Scott

Beale & Co will be sending a few stamped addressed envelope for medals 🥇 at the end of the season….couldn’t mark their necks with a blow torch.

James Tucker

100% Agree with you David regarding Banfield. Yes they did some good work early on in their reign but that disastrous summer recruitment and the the shambolic pre season sent us spiraling down. We were completely rudderless. Hopefully they will all retreat back to where they came from and let us see what success they have now

Alistair Simpson

Couldn't agree more with your opinions on Banfield's comments. Totally laughable to even attempt to make those claims.

Alistair Simpson

Also massive James fan and had no idea 'Booth and The Bad Angel' was a thing, I'll blame my relatively youthful age for that haha! Away to check it out, cheers!

Duncan

Sorry in advance for the rant but I have to say I disagree with the listener saying moving fans from CD7 was a success. The Club Deck has a great view of the full pitch side on. The seats we were moved to were behind the goal so the view for in the second half was very poor. I know the Copland fans being moved aren’t happy but I believe they are being moved to seats with a similar view. If the club go ahead with this next season I would hope they try to accommodate fans from CD7 in seats with a similar or better view of the pitch. Also hearing that the Livingston fans that had their seats upgraded received a voucher to use at the kiosk was an additional slap in the face. I would have thought the loyal season ticket holders might have been more deserving of that gesture.

Rona Bluebell

Away to fuck. Seriously, fuck right off to Fuck Off Land. Nonsense. Get PC out of your mouth Banfield. 🤬

David A

This season Clement will not face any long term running total thresholds that both Gio and Michael Beale faced and fortunately for us that other lot will. The long term thresholds are in our favour at the end of this season whereas the last 2 seasons they were not and that is why I would never say a bad word about Michael Beale or Gio and I`m certain that Clement will deliver title 56 this season.

Gregg

Spot on mate - said the same in my feedback earlier. The club also said the delays getting in were caused by fans arriving late - when it was turnstile failure.

Duncan

I made sure I filled in this weeks feedback survey. I missed the first 10 mins of the game and turned up at the same time I usually would. I actually expected to my seat quicker since there wasn’t the usual stairs to climb. Not sure the how much notice the club will take of the feedback.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David. The manager is 100% right - All about the Rangers! Ignore that mhob, it infuriates them! Banfield? Bampot! He's entitled to his opinion and entitled to air it - even if its completely wrong. Beale & Co DO deserve a modicum of credit if, when, the League is won. The team gained points under their tenure. Thank you for that. But there's a reason you all got sacked! Not enough points. I fully believe managers & staff deserve time. And we as a support did not give them enough time to prove themselves with the new squad. However the results weren't good enough, they couldn't handle the pressure being put them and there were few signs that would change under the circumstances. But! We can't go hounding out a manager every season like it's a console game or the fantasy football world of the EPL. That is a guaranteed road to ruin! Thank heaven we have Clement. We might have to be more patient at Ibrox tomorrow night than Saturday. Be patient! Have faith! The big man has a plan. C'mon The Rangers

Alan Stewart

Banfield is talking absolute shite. If that management team were still here, we would be battling with Hearts for 2nd, runners up in the LC and out of Europe. Daft old cut.

Gary Brown

Yes. Ridvan, Silva & Diomande added - but we are 5 down from the original list from injuries & offskis; Sima, Danilo, Davies & Lammers, Cifuentes. Effectively 2 light until Davies gets back. Then maybe Sima back for the Semi & the Final ! 😉

Gary Brown

Least the club could've done was give you all a free pie & bovril for your trouble.

Bryan Watson

What really annoys me about Beale / Banfield is the complete lack of self awareness and failure to take any kind of responsibility when it goes tits up but want all the adulation if it looks like it is going well. They steadied the ship unremarkably when they came in but wheels started coming off after that League Cup Final. Funny how he tries to say they inherited a mess from Gio / Wilson and they made it better (they didn't) but somehow anything Clement has done is because of them. Pure delusion and narcissim and thats why many fans, myself included, wish them nothing but the worst.

Paul Kerr

Banfield just demonstrates the level of denial the previous management team were in. All he's done is show they'd never have accepted where we were and they'd never have turned things around. I don't wish them ill, I just wish they'd shut up.

Gordon Mitchell

Banfield always reminded me of Benny Hill. Can just see him taking training by chasing the players around the facilities really fast.

David Mackie

Agree with you 100% re Binfield's comments
