Mr Ritchie

The fact that no Scottish refs are chosen for World Cup or European Championships says quite clearly what the rest of the world thinks of our refs.

Alan Cowan

Lost the Dujon appeal. What a surprise. Not

Russ

The underlying stats are probably better for Ross than just plain old g/a. For instance he's 'only' got 2 assists, but he's created 25 chances in the league so far - there's sweet fa he can do if he's setting up 2 or 3 chances a game and the forwards are just spooning them over the bar every time. See Fernandes at Utd this season. I'm happy to be patient with Ross, with better finishers he'll be twice the player. 2 assists and a goal in his last 4 starts too, idk if this is the time to criticise his contributions like. Maybe a couple of months ago. Great pod lads.

Its remarkable how so many decisions go against Rangers and/or for Celtic when Messers Robertson, Clancy, Walsh and Collum are involved … some might say it is institutional cheating.

Pondo Sinatra

Top listen, really enjoyed that! Cheers boys! 👏🇬🇧

A lot of the players in the spfl are on around £50K a year, outside of the city teams. I can't see full-time refs ever being a thing as they'd have to get paid more than most of the players.

Bigticket

Wouldv'e been very "brave" indeed to send Duk off. Same level of bravery I imagine he was being lionised for not overturning his ridiculous red card decision. Brave when facing up to Rangers, not so brave when taking the opportunity to hit a Rangers player with a red.

Colin Greenshields

Nail on the head mate. You can't judge a player based on goals and assists alone. Just watch the game and you can see what he brings to the team. I think he's been outstanding since he broke into the team.

John McTrusty

No fan of Goldson..but he is illegally held off by Miovski. Goal never stands if our player is "stronger" than any other defender in this league..never mind in Europe

Gregg

Did we really need to spend 25% of this pod talking about referees? The refs aren’t very good. We know this, this is not news. It’s really boring chat, and we are getting towards being every bit as bad as the lunatics across the city with the constant ref discussions. The club has been transformed since Clement has come in, the team are doing the business on the park, and the atmosphere on Tuesday was the best I can remember for a non-OF domestic match in a long time (going back to the 4-2 Hibs game maybe?). There are far more interesting things to talk about than referees.

Alan Ferguson

Radio Clyde phone in on Wednesday they said the reason the ref wouldn’t have gone back to give Duk a second yellow, was a change in this rule in last season or so…..suggesting that if the advantage is played you no longer go back and give a yellow card…..first time I’ve heard that but does make me wonder as there have been other instances this season when I’ve been surprised ref hasn’t gone back to give a yellow after playing advantage…..anyone know if this rule has changed??

The best way to deal with the refs is to get back to our “no one likes us, we don’t care” roots. How we tackle it is by continuing to build our performances game to game so referees are less able to influence the end result by poor officiating. Take more of the chances we created in the first half and it doesn’t matter about Robertson in the second. If we do that, keeping winning, that mob I think will continue to drop points. If we build up a gap and the Celtic fans turn on Rodgers and the board etc I think you’ll see the refs relax into more “fair” decision making as they did in the 55 season once it was clear the refs were not going to be blamed for Celtic blowing ten in a row. As usual, it’s all about the Rangers and what we do from now until end of the season.

Graham Roy

I don’t think it’s a foul and would be surprised if that is given in any league! Goldson knows if he does anything other than putting pressure on Miovski he goes down and potentially Goldson sent off! Goldson could have been in a better position prior to the ball being played but think we do need to just accept Miovski is a good player and it’s a good finish! If Alfie scored that would we have been saying he was lucky not to concede a foul?!

Craig

It’s true, if it’s interfering with a player ie not a dodgy tackle, if advantage is played they don’t go back and book the player. If we stopped it makes the ref make a decision.
