We need to be more encouraging not just from the stands but online ...... Clement seems to be implementing a squad/rotational culture so it's important all 16 players are supported before and after games

David Ferguson

Will we ever see diomande, Lawrence and cantwell in the same starting 11?

Bradley johnson

When we get down to the final stretch of 8/10 games of the season, do you still expect the manager to rotate silva/dessers jack/Lawrence the left backs, or will he nail his flag to particular masts ?

John Smith

Hi guys 👋 How would you fix VAR ?

Steven Johnston

Set pieces, we seem to have went from constant out swingers to just constant in swingers, I’m not expecting dedicated set piece coaches like arsenal/villa but even Ayr United came to ibrox with some different routines that allowed them ti get shots off. Outwith souttar/Balogun we have no consistent aerial threat so we need to try new things to allow us to maximise this

Gazza_Hendo

I enjoy the format you guys have. Can’t think of much specifically that would be better..

Stuart Lamont

Set pieces seem to be a concern just now, especially corners in particular, do we have a set piece coach at Ibrox ? I don’t have any faith at all of a goal materialising from a corner these days

Scotty

How exciting is the future under Mr Clement? 💙

James Stewart

Do you feel that on Wednesday night that is now the standard of attacking we need to see every game especially in the league? Or do you think the players were just pushing for that extra goal to take us top? Also will away pitches let us play that kind of football? What’s is your thoughts 💭

Lisel Porch

Pressure - and how the team AND the fans are going to cope with it now we’re level. The ‘tension’ / groans/ irritation from the fans last night was palpable at a few points. I don’t think it helps personally, but would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Gregg

Set pieces - should we be mixing it up, short corners, edge of the box etc. Statistics tell us you very rarely score from a corner - it’s a total lottery

Graham Ross

We need to concentrate in the defence as the Aberdeen and Ross County games proved we are suspect with the ball over the top and through the channels.

Stuart Turnbull

Not just for yourselves but maybe across the network. We need to remind ourselves and tell the younger generations that this is going to be a slog, 55 was a freak season and this is the norm currently. We can see from the other side of the city what happens when you get to entitled.

Andrew Whiteside

Is this not the best football we have played since 55? Given the evolution in the last 4 months with room to improve should we not be very excited?

Ronnie Gallacher

Hello lads! Why is our fanbase and some of the podders over critical and negative towards our players, even when we win? It seems we can't be positive without balancing that up with a negative or being overly critical. Even some of the language we use when being negative is over the top. So, let's think about where we were just over 2 months ago (we were 11 points behind at one point early in December), where we are now and what a positive support (online and when at the games) will do to give our team the best possible chance of winning a domestic treble. For me, a treble is absolutely on, so let's be positive, not suggesting a happy-clappy or panglossian outlook, and stand behind our club and manager. 56 is on, forget the past and let's positively drive our manager and team towards success. Come on the Teds!

Al Robert

I know it matters at the end of the season, but right now, is it actually that important for us to overtake them to overtake them on goal difference ? It would have been nice to win by more than two last night, but don’t see it as the ‘missed opportunity’ that many others have. With us level on points and never playing at the same time as them, I imagine we will be constantly swapping who’s top depending on who kick off first that week anyway.

Ross

Last night is the best football ive seen us play in the league since the 55 season, when it went to 1-1 with the pressure of knowing we coulda went top that night to keep going and create so many chances is it maybe the Ross county keeper just had a freak game? We still won 3-1 and i hope we can use that as a platform to kick on. 2 home games we’ve went 1-0 up and its went to 1-1 and ive seen Rangers teams collapse when under this kind of pressure especially the years before 55, if am a glass half full i wana take last night and the 2-1 win over aberdeen as the 2024 versions of the 3-1 win over motherwell in 2020 when the pressure was on and we went 1-0 down and we showed the mentality to win, i also think Cortes is now a first pick our attack looks far better when he plays, the passing, the movement, the skills, even the chance’s he missed it was wide but he hit those shots well and with power if those were on target they are goals, lets hope he can get a goal soon !!

Lynsey Roddy

Is Goldson giving anyone else the fear? He’s making too many mistakes, last night & against Aberdeen they led to goals but thankfully not the 3 points. Against Ayr Souttar bailed him out with a great challenge.

Alastair McGeoch

Are we over analysing the conceding of 1 goal against Aberdeen and 1 goal against Ross County because over the last two games we were hyper focused on goal difference? Looking at the season so far, what does or stats look like in comparison to 55 for example. I saw it against Ross County the other night as soon as conceded there was the “bottlers, losers” tweets were out again. I have been quilty myself of that, however it feels like the team have moved past that (league cup final, last two league games and bouncing straight back after old firm loss). Clement isn’t a bottler so is it us fans who are now the bottlers as soon as we concede?

Steve Watson

I thought we were excellent last night although we obviously wanted the extra goal. They were running about like mad men to get it so the players are right up for this. That has got to be the most shots we’ve had in a league game for years and years. Does Steven know if that’s been beaten in recent time apart from maybe the banter years against all the pish we were playing

Alan Waddell

How, when we’ve won next to fuck all in 13 years, have we managed to become so self entitled as a support. The atmosphere last night was toxic at points just because we weren’t winning by 3. We never looked like being in trouble in that game yet huge swathes of the crowd were giving the players horrific abuse.

James McSween

How do you think the Tims dressing room will be feeling after letting their 10point lead slip. Surly there must be massive pressure on them now that we are breathing down their necks.

Miguel Sanchez

Thoughts on fans not being up to a title race? Not trying to be inflammatory however last night just before Dessers got the second people were losing their minds in that stadium. Unless us or them collapse it's probably going to be tight right till the end and I do have concerns that if we are being held to a draw and need to push late into a game the fans will be losing the plot and making the situation more tense.

David MacInnes

Is there any lingering doubts about this squad going top of the league and shitting the bed. We were excellent last night and it seems like we are turning the screw a bit now and playing with a belief I haven’t seen in a long time. Does Clement now have to change the mentality in the dressing room, we have been used to chasing, is it going to be different now we are neck and neck, it feels like last night was a milestone and the next one is to now go on and win the league.

Doug

In very basic terms (Goals Scored/Conceded), after 25 Games, we've scored 53 Goals and Conceded 13. During the 55 season, over 38 Games we scored 92 Goals and Conceded 13. If you extrapolated our current performance over all 38 games, we're on track to have 80 Goals Scored & 20 Goals Conceded. Looking at the title winning averages across the last five seasons, that would suggest we need at least 93 Goals Scored & 22 Conceded. So ultimately that tells us what we already know, we need to score more goals. Celtic are currently on track to end the season with 87 Goals Scored & 26 Conceded. Rounding gives them a 1 Goal advantage. All being the same, we can't rely on Goal Difference. Their strikers have better records than ours, but we have unknown quantities in Silva and Cortez. So who improves most (if at all) is up in the air. The best way to win this league is to do so by points on the board. That will require beating them at least once (and making sure they don't do the same).

Alastair McGeoch

I don’t think it’s self entitlement, I think it’s a desperation because we’ve won fuck all in 13 years. We can see Celtic are there for the taking and we are desperate to apply the pressure that tips them over (my 10p anyway). I think the key is how we manage that desperation so it doesn’t affect the team on the pitch. That said, I think Clement is managing that with his consistent comments to the press shutting everything down to focus on 1 game at a time.

Alastair McGeoch

I hope they are as complacent as they were after Parkhead. “We knew they would fold”, “they ain’t played anyone” and Brendan with his “I’ve seen off 5 rangers managers already”. Let them keep thinking that until we are in front of them

WILLIAM JACK

General question around VAR that may or may not have place on the preview. 'Do we have to be ten points better than Celtic to win this league by two?' Now that VAR is bedding in, are we seeing the system being made 'fit-for-purpose' from a Celtic point of view, and could this have a material effect in the title race? We know we have seen refs afraid to give decisions against CFC in the past and there was a concerted media campaign when VAR came in that seemed designed to have the same pressurizing effect on officials to favour Celtic that existed pre-VAR. We have now seen 3 key moments in Old Firm games (Alfie's disallowed goal, Dessers ghost foul when he scored and the recent Johnson handball) 'inexplicably' go against us. There also seems to be an increasing VAR practice of turning a blind eye to incidents that the officials don't want to see or deal with. In the recent game between Hibs and That Lot, Celtic were awarded two penalties which while just about tenable under the rules of the game were pretty odd and the kind of incidents often overlooked for other teams. Conversely Hibs had what looked like a couple of stonewall penalties ignored or turned down. This should be impossible under VAR. They should have dropped at least two points but didn't. As a support we tend to concentrate on ourselves, but are we now sliding back into the pre-VAR way of officiating that could make a difference in what is shaping up to be a tight race? Love the preview, keep up the great work. Sorry about the length of the post...that's what she said.

Rhys bradford

What are the guys thoughts on Silva/Dessers? I think Dessers is the man we have to go with as he finds a way to be on the end of chances more often than Silva does. Do you think there is a role in the team for Silva in one of the other attacking roles? I feel a lot of his best work comes when he can face goal and run at people. He’d be perfect for that wide left/ second striker role Sima played, imo. This seemed to work for him at PSV.

Jamie Townend

If we reversed the managers for one game only so Levein managed Rangers and Clement managed Saints how many goals would Saints put past us in that one game?

David_Davy_Dave

Was last night one of those games? XG would suggest it was and their keeper had an insanely good game Then again we have only averaged 2.12 goals a game in the league v 2.44 last season (happily Celtic have also gone from 3 to 2.28) Is this lack of a proper striker or will it click?

Derek

Since Clement came in he's steadied the ship. Made us look more solid in defence and transition, more direct going forward. I was starting to get a bit of a Gio feeling tho, not really seeing what our identity was... Until this week. I thought the first half hour against Aberdeen was brilliant. As good as we've been in some time. Some great football and patterns of play. Didn't give them a minute, attack after attack at pace and the crowd bought into it. That just went up a level on Wednesday night. Sure there were drops throughout the 90, there always will be. But if that's what we have to look forward to then we're entering an exciting era and a few teams are going to receive an absolute hammering when they come to Ibrox

Paul

Scott Wright. Several managers over the past three years have turned to him. What do they see that I don't? I genuinely despair when I see him coming off the bench or starting.

Andrew David Ferguson

Now we are seriously in a League title race with them lot. How do we the supporters cope with handling that pressure. How can we help ourselves and the players. Because I feel many supporters have forget what it takes to go through this type relentless back and forth between the two teams going top of the table. You opinions and thoughts would be much appreciated guys.

David Clapperton

Do you think there is still improvement to come from this squad or is the manager getting the absolute max we can realistically expect out of them? From an analytical point of view what has been the biggest improvement in the team since Clement took over?

Spoon

Is Clements biggest impact so far the resurgence of the idea of a squad being much more important than any individual. As a fan base people get very polarised about players (sometimes very quickly) but the manager has kept to the mantra that people who are on message and contributing for the team will get minutes and will have a place. I despair at the glee taken by some in maligning our own players and the whipping boy or sacred cow mentality where some can do no right and some do no wrong where the truth is it’s must more nuanced. Is it time we start to value all the different pieces of the jigsaw and understand the guys being picked have showed the manager, who the majority trust now, something to merit inclusion? I think the rotation we see is working really well, it benefits us in terms of fitness or injury, keeps all the squad fresh but also really builds that team bond. The mood and attitude is what I like the most currently, I’m not botherd about who comes in to a team or drops out as I believe the manager has a proper plan. I think they have earned trust and belief and I think we need to know accept that even our fringe players deserve recognition that they are contributing. I personally don’t think there are outstanding players in the squad anymore even the high paid or high potential guys don’t compare to heroes of the past but that’s fine, the unit is performing and for me that’s enough. Thoughts ?

Russ

Is Todd Cantwell starting to become the talisman we think he can be? It all depends on whether this season is a success but for me he's the heartbeat of this side when we play well, especially the last couple of games v Aberdeen and County. What do you think lads?

Scott

Is Scott Wright Rangers standard no I don’t think so. But we got more from him in 25 min than we did from Ross McCausland. Wright gets the ball run at them often gets to the byline cuts the ball back Ross McCausland don’t pass a player and never get to byline.

Ross T

Has Tom Lawrence became an automatic starter in domestic games? I think we look so much more dangerous and get into promising attacking positions quicker, with him in the team.

Graeme Guthrie

After independent VAR review released today, it looks like Rangers have had the "wrong" decisions most often. There's a topic for you

Mo Young

Impatience of fans having an on field effect

Neil Buchanan

Many think that we just have to keep winning and the Celtic fan base will implode taking their team with them but could the same happen to us? Last night showed the good & bad within our support, both in the stadium and online. I’m guilty of thinking it would be younger fans who couldn’t handle it but it was me with my head in my hands far too often. Credit to the many fans who shook me & others out of it by immediately shouting encouragement after a stray pass and applauding and encouraging after.

Paul

And even that 25 minutes still wasn't good enough. He has been here for 3 years. He won't ever do. And I was hoping Cortes was a right winger as McCausland could also do with competition. He wasn't great either last night.

GlasgowBear

We are very much back in this title race, with only a dozen or so games left to play. In my opinion, we absolutely NEED to win at least 1 of the remaining old firm games. It’s something we’ve failed to do far too often, and the players that are giving us fantastic performances of late are the same ones that have went on to let us down time and again against that lot. How confident are we that we can get the job done against them? What do we need to make sure we do to break the duck?

Robbie McCarroll

Increase in tempo. Passing the ball forward quicker even if a player isn’t in lots of space it seems to open teams up more such as verses Ross County. Cantwell was pinging them into feet with a bit of sting !
