THIS ALBUM WAS A FRENETIC JOURNEY.

The wildly unpredictable transitions from song to song kept us alert at all times. We literally had NO IDEA what sound we would hear next.

“INDIGO” felt like RMs attempt to test the limits of his creative genius by adopting (and adapting to) the particular styles of artists who he DEEPLY admires. Each song felt wholly unique, yet all 10 tracks felt strung together by a single thread. Here are some lines that really resonated with us:

Mahalia put into words what we have been trying to for years…the feeling of loving someone so much that you want to crawl underneath their skin. We get chills just thinking about this. Thank you Mahalia.

RM somehow manages to create a song about loneliness, while at the same time making the listener feel less alone 🤯

The only song that didn’t blow either of us away upon our first listen was “Hectic.” However, we definitely need to 1) give this song a few more listens, and 2) dig further into the genre of City Pop. We’re curious to hear from those of you who fell in love with “Hectic”!
