Liz Torres

Hey guys. Can't wait to watchnyoir reactions to this. Thanks again. Love you both. 💜💜

LM

Ohhhhh I’m happyyyyyyy😭

duaa

I really wish you can react to “ mic drop” it’s THEE SONG🔥 for anyone who’s getting into BTS, you’ll never regret it!! it’s is a track that was originally included on the BTS album "LOVE YOURSELF: Her" that dropped in September 2017. https://youtu.be/kTlv5_Bs8aw and FOR SURE you have to watch the BESTT live performance of it ,which was in 2017 MAMA Hong Kong https://youtu.be/nVHcXZK7pKs❤️‍🔥 and ofc the dance practice https://youtu.be/eRkpkveBWy , the song is about how haters can say whatever they want but BTS have glowed and went up and will continue to be on TOP of everything and everyone, so the haters should go and get a life of their own instead of talking bad about BTS 24/7/365

Sharon Bagchi ⟭⟬ ⁷

they went live after this and talked about the card trick. There is also episode on their practice and behind the scenes you may want to check out.

Ralew

Wait until you check their Dynamite performance at Mama 2020

Abbie

So insane!! 💜💜

Kiki

Your reaction was exactly like mine when I saw this performance. It was just getting better and better

Jd ✨

omg you got to butter!!!AH IM SO EXCITED THIS IS SO EXCITING!!! I CANT wait till y’all get to Dynamite AHHH IM SO HYPE

teresa

Guys.. you are not ready for the MAMA xD if you freaked out with the grammy, just wait and you will see HOW an awards performance should be done. I can't wait to see it, really i am like a kid before christmas waiting for that reaction

Daphne Schaffer

So, JK was up in the air for commercials, and one award waiting... Jimin would text him to make sure he was okay. Imagine.

Lauren H.

HOLD UP YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MATRIX!?!?!?

JunChoui

Jungkook farts and ARMY knows. Seriously though, we knew all of the struggles in real time. BigHit is great about keeping us up to date with the well being of the members. It was very tense. Glad you guys enjoyed this!!

Ellie

In their livestrean after the grammys JK also mentioned how he talked to the members during through their in-ears while they waited. He was up there through a commercial break and 1 award. Just wow.

Ellie

J&J I found the article!! This is an article from Weverse Magazine. It interviews some of the people behind the magic of the Butter Grammys performance - including details about the concept & storyline. Supper insightful, highly recommend! https://magazine.weverse.io/article/view?num=391&lang=en

Pacific Pacific

ARMY knew everything that was happening pre-grammys 😊 the members and bighit keep us informed. JK even did a live from his hotel room while quarantined to let us all know that he was okay and told us to not worry. Their stage was set up as a Museum heist. You can see the paintings on the walls slowly being replaced with bts pics 😁 all the pics have a history too. That's how detailed their performances are.

CandykOh

Tbf... they haven't seen a lot of movies in general. They haven't even seen The Lion King. LOL

silja

Not sure if you saw, but in the background, around the time when the jacket trick happens, the background pictures start to change and ther are pictures of them and some older outfit on display. Not sure if the pictures in the beginning had any meaning. But to me the performance looks like a story, where they brake into a museum, get past the security and change it to a bts museum .

Laurie Brennan⁷

Here's another thing beside all the other massively amazing things that were going on throughout the performance.....the classic art on the wall behind them was disappearing one by one as the performance progressed. When Suga started his rap towards the end the art was replaced by still photos from their older MV's. International art thieves??? I didn't notice J-Hope's stumble until the 3rd or 4th watch either. His head came so close to hitting that step it seemed and my heart was in my throat when I saw it. His heart must have been pounding out of his chest and adrenaline coursing through his body when that happened. What a professional to be able to carry on with a perfect performance like nothing happened.

Laurie Brennan⁷

Lol....I was just posting the same thing. I'd go to a BTS museum for sure

Andrea

There’s a thing in Army, when we say that BTS turns every awards show they perform in into their own concert. I feel like you can easily forget it’s an awards show, because they just completely draw you in.

MMA2018 ♡ I am waiting...

BTSAngel777

I remember watching this live after they learned they had lost "Best Duo Group" Grammy for the second year in a row. Handled everything like the humble kings they are. Class act in classy suits 💜

Juliann Terrell

I also love how they still leave a place for Jin, as they do for each member when they aren’t there. 💜

crystine dills

fun fact. when the teaser was released, everyone said that is sounded like Queens "Another One Bites The Dust" sound. the fun part about it is that Queen actually tweeted about it with a nod to BTS. it was amazing!

crystine dills

We ARMY did warn you about the jacket trick during that time for this performance. Your reactions really are so funny. another fun fact. some of the members had caught covid before this performance and had to rehearse without the members present. for them having caught covid and recovering right before this performance shows their strength and love for ARMY to give us the best performances.

Ashleyder

ARMY knew about all of the various obstacles to the Grammy performance beforehand. BigHit released statements about the positive Covid test results. And they had already released a statement about Jin's hand because it severely limited his ability to dance during their Vegas concerts as well. We honestly weren't sure they even would be able to perform. JK got out of quarantine the *day* before the Grammy's and everyone had their fingers, toes, and everything else crossed that he would come back with a negative Covid result so they could move forward. I know J-Hope felt bad about the trip, but realistically, he had hardly any time to practice on the actual stage they would be performing on and was having to navigate stairs and such. They got literally one day of rehearsal all 7 together the day before the Grammy's, and that's it!

Precious

So awesome. Fun Fact: J-Hope was very nervous because of everything that was going on behind the scenes of the performance. All of the guys were nervous. He stated that he was so nervous that his legs were shaking uncontrollably, which led him to trip. The jacket trick never worked during their one day of rehearsal with all of the members, but it somehow worked during their live performance. Both V and JK very adamantly stated that the card trick in the beginning was real while Jimin begged to differ…the world may never know. It was a great performance and I loved your reaction to it. Borahae! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Johana

Insane how they only rehearsed this ONCE as a group and pulled of one of the BEST Grammy performances ever!

Jane Rogers

Hobo’s giant smile at the guitar scene is everything😍💜

LizP⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷⁷

This song, their performance and the concerts in Vegas bring back so many memories of that year. Knowing the guys were in the US and being present at the show made it so exciting to watch. They stole the show but were robbed of that very deserving award. The best thing tho is that after every award show they go back to their hotel and go live. They try to comfort us Army and that shows so much of their character and who they truly are as artists and people. That's why we love them so much. Might I add how good they looked, especially in those black suits 😍😍 Thanks guys for all the videos today!! Yall are truly spoiling is and I appreciate your hard work!! Love you guys!! 💜💜

You can go and see i believe its a fan cam or an over head view of the performance and it shows the card fell on the floor next to JK. Plus if ypu look very closely during the performance just as they move to the stage you can see the card on the grounds near the podium. It was an amazing trick though and it does keep others guessing.

Melie

My favorite part: Jordan - "What is this, James Bond?".... Jared "This is James Bond, The Matrix, Everything" LOL

Stacey Goudge

Fyi there is a behind the scenes of them preparing for the Grammy performance that explains a lot of what they had to deal with.

Fernanda

I didn't notice hobi tripped until I went on twitter lol could've fooled me I remember not only ARMY but so many people who were watching the grammys praised bts for this amazing performance it was one for the books

Michelle Tetzke

FYI They're called pats of butter. Hey. Sorry I haven't messaged in awhile. I hope you're both well. I'm recovering from my surgery on 1/16/2023. Everything went well. It was cancer, so they took most of the lower lobe of my left lung. The surgeon thinks he got it all. I'm still in a lot of pain. Better than the first couple days. The chest tube was incredibly painful. I have a high pain tolerance, so I hate to think of how badly those who don't hurt. They want me to start Physical Therapy to see if that will help with the pain. I really hope it does. It's not letting me sleep or eat well. I'm really cranky & I'm not usually a cranky person.😕 I see my old oncologist, from when I had breast cancer, next week. I want to ask him about getting a full body scan to make sure there's no cancer elsewhere. They only caught the lung cancer because of the CT's for all of the pneumonia I had (I think 7 times in the past 2 or so years.) I want to know for sure it's nowhere else. Or to catch it early if it is. It started really sinking in that I have cancer again just this past week. All the worry again. Wondering if I'll need chemo or radiation. If I'll lose my hair, lol. I told God that I know I asked last time & that I realize that it is still vain, but please don't let me lose all my hair. Last time I would lose clumps of it, but I have enough long curly thick hair for 3 people so I couldn't tell very much. I have to find my positivity again, but I'm having a really hard time. Last time I had my mom to help me through. Now, it's just me. My son will help when he can, but he lives a half hour away. My older brother will help too, but he has a wife and kids. Plus he lives 45 minutes away. My friends would help too. I don't want to be a bother to anyone. I'm the one who took care of everyone not the other way around. I hate asking for help. I'm on oxygen, can't drive, can't have a lot of company because I cannot risk getting sick. I'm cranky! Trying not to cry because it makes my nose get plugged up or run & then I can breathe my oxygen. Lol. Sorry. I was just having a pity party for a moment there. Done now. Lol. I'll have to start listening to 2!3! again. Get my spirits back up. I'm feeling a bit defeated. But I beat cancer once, I can beat it again. I don't want to play again after this though. It'll be me 2 cancer 0. The best 2 out of 3 and that's good by me. Any prayers or good vibes would be welcomed. Again I hope everything is awesome with both of you. As always, be safe, be strong & God bless. Remember to Love Yourselves. Borahae! 🙏💪💜

Karla24.wintaebear

Yessss I was happy to hear you'd watch the Episode about this as it answers most of your questions. I hope you also watch the vlive they had after the Grammys as they talk a lot about the performance after the fact and their views on the awards.

Frances

I hope the surgery did get it all, and that your recovery goes well. You’re absolutely allowed a pity party, and while we don’t know each other, I would encourage you to ask for help. People are often willing to but don’t know how. Maybe ask specific people for specific requests - help with groceries, or to be driven to an appointment, or to go to your place to just hang out and watch a movie. All the best for your recovery. 💜

Suga(r)kookie

A lot of us Armys including me didn't even know that the Scammys were already because BTS didn't went. But BTS got the last laugh because Jungkook's live had like 21+ million viewers compared to the 12.4 million viewer for the Scammys. And imagine the viewers Jungkook could have if he would announce it in advance like the scammys. Because we miss his live because we are sleeping

Julie Kühnell

I would definitely also watch the 3J (Jhope, Jimin, JK) special Butter performance and the behind the scenes episode. It's short but amazing

Eternity 7

Correction!! It was jhope who said "watch your expressions". He is there dance/performance leader so that's why he was on the look out. When Jimin said "We need Hobi to lead us", I got little emotional:((

viperine

Much love and light to you🙌🏻 you got this luv🫶🏻 I hope you can get the body scans you need and nothing gets more difficult for you. 💜

Kirssy Mago

You face expressions were priceless 🤣 I love it. I gave up on the Grammys since last yr. But I 🙏 and hope for that they our superstars win their grammys. Not cuz they need it thay are amazing even w/o it but sometimes we gotte shut sometimes mouths. I hope one day the actually perform one of the rap songs and leave everyone speechless.

Tiana

Love this, so much. Thank you!💜

Hyland

Im just impressed that they only had like 1 day with all 7 to practice this because JK got covid when he got to Vegas, Hobi had covid right before going to Vegas and poor Jin injured his hand so he has to sit most of the time. I think JK got the ok fom the grammys to still perform the day before. Anyways the behind the scenes shows how nervous they were for all of it

Sabrina J.

You can always find important informations about BTS on weverse, when something special will happen, Hybe will announce it there. There was an announcement about the positive COVID tests and also about Jins surgery. The members are sharing informations by themselves there and even unauthorized live-streaming (like JK's last one) will happen there ;-)

jaredandjordanBTS

Hi Michelle, from the bottom of our hearts we are thinking about you and praying for you full recovery. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you and please know you can always message us if you want to chat. Sending you so much love. 💜💜💜

Ellie

The guys actually performed early on in the show. But the award category was announced towards the end.

Ellie

2021 was the year when the award was announced during the preshow, and then their pre-recorded abridged version of Dynamite was broadcasted second to last on the line-up.

Ellie

They did! It was such a cool thing to see when it happened.

Harfey

1. you're the second person I've ever watched react this specific performance to notice Hobi's trip! I missed it til that reactor said it! 2.i havent seen the matrix either :)

LaNita Starr⁷

Hahah... you guys trying to figure out pieces of butter 🧈 🤣🤣. Also I didnt notice Hobis trip live. It was not until I became ARMY. I did wonder why one of them sat out 🤔 I loove their tricks they never cease to amaze me! You guys crack me up when you get excuted. Love to watch your reactions. Thanks 💜💜

Nanci

Honestly not enough is said about the fact that the anti-establishment rebel band from the indie label who get constantly abused by the industry staged a high tech break in of the US industry's showpiece, The Grammys, and stole the show right in front of their faces. It's on par with performing Cypher 3 and Mic Drop to the faces of the government big wigs trying to manipulate them in Busan, and then rejecting their military exemptions. It never gets old.
