“UNDERRATED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!”

While the vocal line shone brilliantly on this track (as expected), the rap line did some major thangs as well. J-Hope’s verse and delivery snuck up on Jordan like a serpent, and Jimin’s tantalizing 17 second climax gave Jared another eargasm.

Can y’all tell how excited we are to officially be in the HYYH era!?!?

This era has some of the best r n b and yes, underrated songs (Ma City, Butterfly, Moving On, Whalien 52) I'm so happy you guys will be hearing the hidden gems. 2 words guys, TRUST ARMY!!! When we say it's that good, we know what we're talking about 😆😆 It does suck there's not many live performances. Jordan, I believe you were referring to Tomorrow around the 3 minute mark when you were talking about the body rolls. But Jared isn't wrong when he's referring to Let Me Know and the similarity. Well guys, there is so much more greatness to come so just hold tight....Autumn Leaves, Love is Not Over, HOC, and what I believe to be one of Army's favorite live performed song Bapsae (fight me someone) just remember to trust us!! This is the song that I was introduced to BTS with in 2015... hook, line and sinker I was instant ARMY and had to find out more, I went down the rabbit hole that day and never looked back. Getting to see the live version later, pink hair'd Namjoon and mint hair'd Yoongi was the cherry on top of such an incredible underrated song.

Hey J&J idk if you know but doing certain parts of this video there is a machine high pich sound. it has been on many of your videos. can you do something about it?. i keep pausing to hear of it is in my end that sound is coming from. if not then it´s okay it´s not that bad but still a little distracting

these early performances is something i miss about the current BTS concerts. i think its the venues but i got the same feeling again in Sugas concert. it was just so haunting and beautiful i love when we get the stand on the stage and sing moments. we got some on PTD and bsan too but the big space makes the sound off. i want a concert like this with blue and grey and film out and all that. Suga´s concert was also filmed from multiple angles and it was just so much more intimate. i also love that the fans in korea stay quiet when it´s needed. but iget it idt i would be able to not scream if i was at their concert hehe. It is also the stag setup and soundscape that is cool about this concert. they can create a perfect atmosphere in a smaller venue.

I don't know it's only me but I got little frustrated when I understand their metaphorical lyrics but translations are not enough. Doolset did great job but there is always difficult metaphor or expression that can't be fully translated. I really want to fully portrait the beauty of their lyrics, but some expressions are not universal.. For example, RM's lyrics part that 'even trash bag that makes dreary sound' describes 'him=trash bag', who is singing sad song (making dreary sound) right now.

Adding another BU thought ! BTS always always always puts the music FIRST. They are musicians first and foremost. Sure the BU is fun to theorize and look into, but the songs are not created from the standpoint of furthering the bangtan universe. The songs are created bc they love making music. This is why I personally think it’s more important to prioritize the music and albums how you have been doing. To me, the BU is cool and fun as an ADDED layer, but it is not more important than the songs’ lyrics, production, choreography etc. all in all, I think you can continue as normal but it is obviously totally up to you. I’m sure you’re stressed about making the decision but it’s ultimately your journey, we already did ours 💜

My example of this would be the truth untold btw ! I think (but am not certain) that the smeraldo flower is related to the BU in some way. But my lack of understanding into how that links to the BU does absolutely nothing to detriment my enjoyment and love of the song

BTS in my opinion are incapable of doing B side music.. I’m currently trying to figure out how to get every last BTS song on one CD …I know im old school but it’s just easier for me to put in a CD while I’m driving…everything thing they sing and breathe is a masterpiece 💜💜💜💜

hi jared and jorden! here are my thoughts on how you should tackle hyyh and the BU in general so you are able to enjoy it the most! - I think you guys continuing going through songs and ablums as you currently are and tackling each BU related content as they come along is the best way, this way you can fully appreciate the art as a whole. - Deep dives of songs for BU content could stay the same regarding listening to the song for the first time, analysis of lyrics and live preformances excluding the music video viewing. This way you both can immerse yourself into the music properly without trying to also pick up on what is going on on the screen. - Each album has some BU content so you can bring them together to watch, hyyh pt 1 for example has the I need U mv and and prologue video. I'm sure armys have sent you links and lists. Or you can listen to the song, anaylse, watch the video, analyse and then live preformances. - A lot of people are saying the lyrics don't relate to the video/BU although this is true in some cases I don't tink you should rule it out completely and also dont rely too heavily on the lyric to guide you through the storyline. (I think each aspect should be cherished and appreciated alone but also as one big masterpiece that connects to each other in different ways) - Don't limit yourself to one viewing of BU content, rewatch, pause, rewind as much as you like - Take notes, any analysis and theories will never be too much. Notes will also remind you what your conclusions and theories were when you get to the next BU video that might a few weeks later - THERE ARE NO COINCINDENCES, every frame has a meaning lol - IF IT GETS CONFUSING DONT WORRY, sometimes you're not supposed to know whats going on - Tip for your analysis/ things to look out for: look for the pairing of members, the members indivdually and recurring themes, objects etc - REMEMBER its all fictional so ANYTHING is possible, think of it as a tv series starring the members (they are actually making movie with plot of the BU its called YOUTH, actors have been cast to play the members) Lastly HAVE FUN and don't stress too much but stress a little bit, its fun that way. Honestly HYYH is my favourite era and as an avid fan of the BU hyyh is the start and base of the storyline and its beautiful, I'm emotionally attached and will never get over it periodt. The cinematography, the acting, the storyline, the emotions conveyed, the feeling of youth- its a MASTERPIECE (keeping in mind that this was still very early in their career and their budget was not that high but that all is the core of this era and it paints the perfect picture of the beauty and fragility of youth) Can't wait to you both dive into this and I promise its not as scary as it seems you just need to have fun with it. I know it can get overwhelming with this many people SO serious about this, its just that its SO GOOD that we dont want to you two to miss anything and have the best experience possible!!

Thanks for saying what you did about the lyrics, lol. It drives me crazy when people say there is zero connection between the lyrics and the videos. In some songs the lyrics have little importance. In other songs the lyrics are actually quite relevant.

This era has soo many bangers. I naturally lean to the rappers but Butterfly is My FAVORITE BTS song ever. I knew I was in it for life when I heard that song. (Original/Prologue/Alternate Mixes, it doesn’t matter). I don’t believe anything could replace it. I cried my eyes out when I first heard it before even knowing what was being said. When I did read the translation I broke down again. It’s an OT7 song but Jin, Jimin, V and JK give so much comfort and it always pulls me out of destructive and dark days I fall into regularly. This song is a promise to myself to keep going, not to lose myself no matter how hard it gets, how strong those dark moments are, not to give up. Fun Fact: I’m completely petrified of actual butterflies 😅

This ERA means so much to me and i think for so many ARMY too. It totally changed my life and my first time to get to know BTS. Once i heard this album which started with "I Need You". I and i believe all ARMY all over the world knew BTS will make a big history one day. Hi guys! About the BU, my humble opinion is enjoy the same way ARMY did. Just being shock by the MV, then when you watch the next one, try to interpret it, at the very end you can include explanation videos or reading the webtoon and the notes. I would love to have your interpretation without any explanation video. Just remember that by the end of the year, if I remember correctly, they will release a series about the BU. So maybe many more things will be explained there. So excited for the BU!

I love this song so much If and when I learn how to play the piano, Hold Me Tight along with I Need U would be songs that I would immediately want to learn to play. Side note, Love is not over is also an underrated gem! (and did you say...autumn leaves perhaps?? 🤔 what a coincidence *cough* *cough* )The entire HYYH series was so beautifully explained by Mimi I think so many people including myself gravitate toward it because it holds so much nostalgia. It was a time when bts was entering their 20s with so much fear and ambition and those same feelings could be true for anyone growing up and entering their adulthood. It really is the "most beautiful moment in life" :((

Hold me Tight is such an amazing song. If bts ever performed it live again and I was there, please check on me because I don't know if I'll make it (if I'm not there, also check on me 😭). This is seriously not only one of my all time favorite bts songs, but favorite ever period. HMT, Moving On, Autumn Leaves, Let me Know, Love is Not Over, 2!3!, Whalien 52, Wishing on A Star, etc. sit at the same table for me. They hit EVERY time!
