ngl same i expected rudy to have a way better showing especially after not seeing him fight in so long also with them speaking of his dark mana ig hes just not there yet idk seems like he overthinks as well

Yeah it’s not so much that Rudy is holding back( he is a little) but it’s more so that all these other folks are strong in fact Atofe was sandbagging that whole fight. Also the anime doesn’t really do this battle justice since in the light novel everything occurs in quick succession whereas the anime makes it look like Rudy is taking his time. Anyways next episode is going to be generational so strap in

I feel you, I got the same feeling of wanting to see Rudy show out but lowkey between his first encounter with Orestid and what happened at the labyrinth last season I feel like he be flinching up in combat since he genuinely terrified to lose people but I feel like when he can conquer that he’ll pop off when he needs too

I forgot that Kishirika gave Rudy the future sight eye in the first season. But Brago, Rudeus isn’t as cold as you think. He may have op magic but when it comes to fast paced fighting he has always been a step behind. That’s what got his dad killed, because he was caught making mistakes in quick thinking close combat and Paul had to save him. He has future sight but can’t always react.

The last episodes that were named turning point were all crazy. (Teleportation, orsted fight, Paul) I wonder what’s going to happen next?
