First here is the actual facts going back to the very beginning. But before I get to that point there is only going to be from the look of it 4 official Canon Terrifier movies. Because Damian Leone said the fourth movie is going to be the last movie with Art and the last Terrifier movie. So the the cannon movie time line will consist of Terrifier 2016 , terrifier 2, terrifier 3 an terrifier 4. Because on the audio commentary for this movie he clearly says. He made art the clown because of Hollywood movie studios making needless sequels and prequels and remakes and reboots to pre-existing movie IPS. Because he actually knows and believes in the Art of storytelling. Meaning every story has a beginning a middle and an ending then you move onto a all new story with all new characters built from the ground up from nothing. So I tend to believe him when he says Terrified four is going to be the last movie and last Art the clown movie. Because he's the one making all of the movies he has the rights to all of the movies and the characters. Because all of the other movie franchises that keep making needless sequels and prequels and remakes and reboots. That's literally and figuratively because the rights are owned by a movie studio. So they don't care about story they just care about making money so they'll make non-stop movies because they make money. For example Halloween with Michael Myers , Scream an the others them the Friday the 13th movies but there's a thing now that they've stopped because of lawsuit and copyright law. Basically the movie studio and Sean S Cunningham lost the rights. To basically everything except for a image of a guy in a hockey mask in a jumpsuit. So as it stands because of Victor Miller's passing his family now has the soul rights. To everything in the original script or screenplay Victor Miller wrote meaning the name. Jason Voorhees and his backstory and everything else for Friday the 13th movie franchise is based on. Side note the judge in that case stated the movie studio and Sean S Cunningham. Illegally used the name Jason Voorhees and his backstory in part 2 and afterwards. Because it clearly stated in the contract the name Jason Voorhees and his backstory was only to be used in the first movie only. That information about is important going further. Because Anything an everything having to do with Art the clown and Terrifier has all been by Damien Leone himself. Now that was a lot of setup but it was important for this part. So you need to understand where Damian Leone is coming from here. It's because of all those needless sequels and prequels and remakes and reboots. He started to make and play around with a clown character because he said if. Hollywood isn't going to make a new character in story I will do it myself. So he started with a short film called The 9th Circle in 2008. Now I'm going to be going from the audio commentary for the non Cannon I repeat non Canon. Because on the audio commentarys for Terrifier 2016 and Terrifier 2. Damian Leone clearly states that starting with Terrifier 2016 and the movies that follow it. Have nothing to do with any event you see in ALL Hollows Eve 2013. So now the film history and appearances of Art the clown. This part is from the audio commentary for the non Cannon All Hallows Eve 2013 movie with Damien Leone. He started with one short film called The 9th Circle from 2008. It has a nameless clown. Then in 2011 he made another short film called Terrifier. And that movie that clown got a name Art. Damian Leone was also trying out different looks for Art because in the 2008 short movie it was just face paint no prosthetics. Then after the short film Terrifier from 2011. He was ask to make a story segment for a anthology movie called All Hallows Eve . But he convinced that person let him make the whole movie. So he put the original short films The 9th Circle from 2008 an Terrifier 2011. Internet movie as story segments and he made a new one because he needed three. Then he centered the wrap around story around Art the clown with a new look prosthetic wise. So that's how the movie All Hallows Eve 2013 was made that is also why. It's not canon because it's as he said on the audio commentary test ideas. Basically he had an idea he tried it out on film to see if it worked. Because for example do you know how many test ideas there was for Michael Myers that was not filmed. Pull it this way a lot of ideas let's just put on paper then tossed out that is how it normally goes for a characters. But and Damien Leone's case he actually filmed it to see if it worked. Then he started to write the official Cannon start of Art the clown story. That would be this movie he took ideas he liked from everything. Previously and fully worked it out into a solid story plot and idea. So the only cannon story plot starts with this movie. So basically that's the full film history of art the clown appearing in movies from the start to where we are now. Along with why he was created. Now about the blood and gore he likes hardcore horror movies that means my blood and gore. But that's not all he also does not like how mainstream Hollywood movies like what you have been watching up until this point. Basically tell the writers and directors tone down the blood tone down gore the tone down the violence. I mean seriously every Scream movie you seen one through four they are way more violent individual scripts. Seriously Wes Craven on those audio commentaries said he had to tone down and cut down a lot. Clive Barkers original Hellraiser same thing that movie had to have been torn down and things were cut. Basically every single Hollywood movie you have seen and will ever see has had things cut out and tone down to make it rated R. So basically Damien Leone is like I'm not doing none of that in my movies. Kills are in their nature violent and bloody an gory depending on the kill. So I'm going to show it as it actually happens as it would look like. All of the blood and all of the gore and I'm not going to cut away. The problem is you're used to tone down rated R major Hollywood movie studio stuff. Seriously if you seen or heard some of the stuff that was actually planned for kills in movies that you seen it would be close to this. That's not your fault that is on the movie studios fault.

Now about this movie an the ones that fallow it. No spoilers for the following movies but basically just this he stated multiple times an interviews and things like that. when he was writing Terrifier 2016 he was already planning Terrifier 2. So when he was writing Terrifier 2 he was already planning Terrifier 3 so when he was writing Terrifier 3 he was already planning Terrifier 4. And he stated Terrifier 4 is going to be the last movie and the last time you see Art. Because he stated he had the story basically in his head from beginning to end. Before he went to write this movie it was just a matter of how many movies to get to that ending. And it looks like the answer is four. The point is this movie is not torture p on. This is part one of a much bigger story basically look at it as chapter 1 or part one. Because as he stated on the audio commentary for this movie. At some point every single slasher becomes Supernatural but you never see when or where or how. So basically Terrifier 2016. basically this is your introduction to Art the clown the main villain. So he has to show how he's basically a statistic psychopath killer. This movie does that perfectly it sets it up so going forward you know Art deal. Because when Art first sees Tara and Down he's a normal human being with nothing Supernatural about him in any way shape or form. Basically all the damage done to him in the movie by the other people was non-fatal injuries. But Tara became close to killing him that's why he pulled his gun. Basically he was like I'm not ready to die. Then at the end when he put the bullet through his head. It officially 100% killed him and he had no plans of ever coming back nor did. He know he was going to come back to life he planned a one-way trip into the ground. That weird electrical interference stuff in the morgue. Was a Supernatural entity resurrecting Art back to life without him knowing it was going to happen. So at that point then and only then making him Supernatural. So you see him die and come back as Supernatural. Solving the problem of you never knowing when he become Supernatural. Because you see it happen after he puts a bullet through his head permanently dying. So basically yes there's lots of blood gore and death and torture. But it's not torture p on it's a sadistic psychopath killer that's kind of what they actually doing real life. Basically think Jack the Ripper so Art is basically a modern day Jack the Ripper. Seriously someone asked them in leoni how he came up with Art and ideas around Art the clown. He answered by going he looks at Art like basically. If Jack the Ripper the real life notorious killer who was never caught from England or London. Had a child with Satan or the devil that child would be Art the clown. So Art the clown is basically inspired by a real life serial killer Jack the Ripper. With a little bit of extra evil from the Devil. Now without spoiling anything going forward. You all seen John Carpenter's original Halloween movie. Remember in the classroom how Lori Strodes teacher was talking about fate. Put it this way those people who got killed in this movie and Victoria. Well let's just say they never had a chance fate looked at them and took a big old crap on them. Especially Victoria she really had fate take a crap on her. Put it this way Tara was the lucky one out of the two. So in Terrifier 2 chapter 2 or part two of this much bigger story going on. But you don't need to know who Art ist because you clearly know who he is at this point. So they can focus on introducing new characters. So in the end things you seen in this movie carry over into terrifier 2 that carries into Terrifier 3 and that carries over into terrifier 4. So in the end you have no loose ends everything gets answered and resolved.
