Hi guys!

As scheduled, here is the reaction to the Coachella performance of ATEEZ during week 2!!

The ending was my favourite, I got emotional, I got goosebumps and MINGI GODDAMNIT what a stage presence he has and I mentioned this in the reaction but I sometimes get G-Dragon vibes from Hongjoong. That charismatic stage presence is sth that not everyone has and I think that the Captain is doing such an amazing job!!

Also their English is adorable HAHAHHA

I hope you guys enjoy this video, as always thank you for watching and until next time!! <333 kiss kiss

loved your reaction, yess Mingi is such a performer on stage ! For me he also stands more out in their live performances than in the MVs! In this performance he really wrecked me a bit haha :D

Sarah

Yeah, you definetly get much more out of ANY concert experience when you already heard the songs before. Its just easier to enjoy the performance when you already know the melodys and hearing a song you already know&like in such a setting always brings extra joy. So honestly yes, it would have made sense to react to at least some of the title tracks before and its the same with the killing voice. The problem is we all want to hear your killing voice reaction soon, if we wait until you have reacted to at least the title tracks it would take weeks with you schedule haha From the 17 tracks i think you only have reacted to 2 of them so far LOL (and except 4 they are all title tracks) Here is the track list of the Killing voice. WAVE BOUNCY (Coach) Pirate King Treasure Answer Say My Name (Coach) Fireworks Deja Vu Guerrilla (Coach) Eternal Sunshine UTOPIA Turbulence FEVER - Empty Box Crazy Form (Coach) WORK The Real (Coach) Say my Name, Crazy Form and The Real you might recognize from the Coachella performances. If I were you, I would consider reacting to some of the songs before instead of the wantez episode this week (you can always watch that one). My recommendation would be at least to react to Deja Vu and Work. Both songs have so iconic MV s, are even more fun with the MV and will be some of the most requested MVs afterwards anyways :)

Sarah

The song you really liked was Crazy Form, one of their most iconic songs/MVs, you really have to watch it at some point, its really crazy. Wonderland, the last song you already heard from kingdom is also one of their biggest hits. I hope you check out the original version/MV at some point, its really good :)

Im new here, just subbed for Ateez, I'm glad you like them!! You will enjoy their performances so much... I saw them live in January and yes it was insane. Insane energy, Insane perfomers.

Here are the songs in order for your convenience hahaha (some of them have MVs, some don't, so it's up to you if you want to react to them. I would love for you to do a full album reaction if you are up for it): - Say My Name - Hala Hala - Guerrilla - Crazy Form (love how San introduces the song by saying "your form doesn't have to perfect, you just gotta get a little crazy! show us your crazy form!") - ROCKY (which is why Mingi wore boxing attire lol, iconic) - The Real (Golden Hour on Hongjoong's fan is technically the trilogy of albums that they last released, pretty sure Golden Hour Pt.1 came out after Coachella, so it was a spoiler and no one noticed. Also you didn't notice but Mingi fell after they did the circle dance and he didn't mean to hahahaha) - (barking for Mingi became a huge thing after this) - ARRIBA (Mingi usually looks like Willy Wonka when they perform this, absolutely iconic) - DJANGO - So Coachella happened in April and they did actually come back to the US for their tour in summer, so that was a huge spoiler that Jongho said lol. - BOUNCY - WONDERLAND (extended Rock version - I think. Also Seonghwa and Jongho own this song in my opinion lol) I agree with you for stage presence, on screen it may seem like these 3 have incredible stage presence, which they do. But having seen them live last winter, I can safely say all 8 stand out in their own way. And for me who completely bias wrecked me during that show was Seonghwa. (But San definitely went viral for his presence in Coachella lol).

This was filmed live in a desert on a high wind day, quality is the best it could be. At Least on the second week the camera men learnt how to film K-pop

Gaia Piazza

The Killing voice is a must to watch I agree

Autumn

I remember watching this live and thinking how unbelievable their live vocals are. Like this is pure live vocals, they are absolutely insaneeeee

Gaia Piazza

The setlist was less or more the same for both weeks but the performance quality and the camera work is pretty much better in the second week. Btw songs list in order: Say my name - Hala Hala - Guerilla - Crazy Form - Rocky - The Real - Arriba - Django - Bouncy - Wonderland

I can't with their English! When they arrived in Texas, cowboy hats, Texas Rangers baseball, and the Texas accent were on full display. It was so funny! I have a pretty severe Texas accent, and it never fails to make me cringe when I hear myself, but them doing it was adorable! They are such entertainers! But Hongjoong? Born for the stage, seriously. I don't care how little that man is. He makes up for it in presence! I can say that when I went to their show, I did not know all of their songs, but being in their presence and breathing their air was amazing. Seeing Bouncy, Work, Lemon Drop, and In Your Fantasy live was definitely something I needed to check off on my bucket list, and now I can say I have! The rumor for the longest was that Stray Kids (I know this is an Ateez video!) had refused to perform at Coachella, when actually, they had scheduled stadium tours to perform in LATAM. They chose Latin America over Coachella, which is quite impressive, and shows how much they love their STAYs around the globe. I do hope we get SKZella in the future!! Coachella is massive and held in the freaking desert of California. It's the equivalent of hell on earth, so I will not be going (unless Felix invites me personally, on his knees, offering to hand-feed me chocolates). They did do Lollapalooza, and it was glorious. That one was in Chicago, and I am willing to fly there (for another Momcation, of course).

Jess

dont cringe, i flipping LOVE the southern accent!! but yeah i bet it was an amazing experience, was ist just their concert you went to or a festival? i bet stray kids is going to perform at big festivals like coachella, i mean they keep releasing festival tracks right? its just a matter of time! TIME FOR ANOTHER MOMCATION

Jess

thank you <3

Jess

omggg you were there at coachella? :O

Jess

thank you so much for all the songs and the descriptions <3 i didnt notice that mingi fell LMFAO, now i gotta go back and see it hahaha also YES, it caught me offguard when he started barking, i was like: what the fvck is going on??? HJAHAHAHH ok so THATS wonderland, the song they performed at kingdom, jonghos vocals are always so good, it tears me up even tho its more an epic song than an emotional song. i fricking LOVE his voice...

Jess

welcomeeee!! but ye ateez has amazing energy, time to save money for a concert haha

Jess

oooooo crazy form was a song many suggested, so its on my next to watch list after the killing voice and ice on my teeth!!

Jess

oh thats a good suggestion! i will check out deja vu and work at least before the killing voice because i agree, you get to enjoy live performances more if you know the songs!! i can also just do an album listen without the MV and react to the MV another time for youtube so i dont spoilt myself heheh

Autumn

No lol i saw the livestream!

Sarah

Work is a song you need to watch the video to really get it. 😂 also the dance performance is their most goofy and fun one. Maybe just watch& film it and edit&post it at some later point. Only hearing the Audio doesnt make sense for that one, then better one of the other Songs (:

Em Whit

Mingi is my bias for a reason!!! I’ve been HOOKED on him ever since I saw how electric he is on stage. And he literally makes fans bark for him at every concert and performance lmao, if you’re a Mingi stan you better get used to barking. This Coachella performance is LEGENDARY. Especially because they proved it’s possible to deliver pure live vocals and still give energy and dance. I love lots of kpop groups, but Ateez is my ult group because I’m a concert girlie and I don’t think anyone comes close to comparing to them when it comes to live shows! Hope to see some album reactions! They have tons of fun title tracks, but their b-sides are fantastic and pure magic.

Em Whit

I’ve seen Ateez live 3 times now and Jongho gives me total body CHILLS everytime I hear him!! His voice is just as I sane and powerful in person. He truly is a powerhouse.

Jess

Any album you recommend first?👀

Em Whit

If you eventually plan on listening to all their music I’d say just start at the beginning with their debut album and work your way forward! They release their albums in series. So first were the albums in The Treasure series, then The Fever series, then The World Series, and now we’re in The Golden Hour series. Every series of albums is a completely different genre/vibe. I personally LOVE the albums in The World Series, they’re very based in rock music and have tons of energy. Guerilla, Bouncy, and Halazia are all title tracks from The World Series!! Crazy Form, Arriba, and Django (songs you liked in this performance) are also all from this album series. I also love the current Golden Hour series, Lemon Drop and In Your Fantasy come from those albums. So if you wanted to do just one album it depends on what vibe of theirs you like the most so far! The Treasure series has sort of a tropical/electronic sound and The Fever series is pop music. You can’t go wrong though all of their albums are amazing!

I loved the boys’ performance both the first and second weeks that I watched. They looked amazing, the songs were incredible, and their vocals were absolutely stunning. It would be really nice if you could check out either the first or second week of Coachella 2025 where Enhypen performed. They performed on both weekends, and their stage was just incredible. During the first week, they all wore exclusive Prada outfits the brand designed them especially for Enhypen’s Coachella performance since they’re sponsored by Prada. In the second week, they had a more casual vibe, wearing their own clothes. Both weeks were amazing, the performances were wonderful, and I’m sure you’d love them!

Thank you so much for your reaction! :D I'm going to be the essay comment here because I'm honestly so passionate about Ateez's Coachella performance. I woke up at 5-6 am to watch this live performance on my laptop when it happened last year. First of all, I'm pretty sure week 1 was the same as week 2, they only wore different clothes. The biggest issue with it is that the live recording is basically unwatchable, the camerawork was SO bad we literally couldn't see the performance. It was always drifting off stage and focused on the wrong things, I was so happy the second week had proper camerawork.😭 Atiny made a huge scandal over it too. I think it's such a pity too because Hongjoong (my bias) looked absolutely phenomenal in that week, I recommend searching Hongjoong Coachella week 1 photos, he was mesmerizing and his stage presence was at its peak.😩 Anyway, I'll explain some of the easter eggs that you saw in the performance that you might not have understood without some context. 1. The eye at the beginning references the dystopian concept in which everyone is being watched by the government. The theme of this era was Outlaw so that's why you see them as cowboys, playing poker, referencing Django, etc. 2. I have so much to say about the song that starts at 20:25, called The Real. This song really hits different when you see it performed the more you know about it. During the bridge, Hongjoong comes with a fan that has written 'Golden Hour' on it. Each time he performs this song live, he has something different written on the fan (which he always customizes himself based on the context). For example, during World Tours he writes things in the native language of the place they're doing the concert in. In this case, it was a teaser for their next comeback which we didn't know about until then. At the time, Ateez discography could pe separated in 3 eras (Treasure era, Fever era and The World era - relevant for their lore, and have big theme shift). Back then, they released the last album in the World Era, and we didn't know what the next era is gonna look like. So he teased us for the first time in Coachella that it's called Golden Hour (current era). Also, the last part of The Real performance (where they hold hands and dance in a circle) is different every single time they perform the song. They usually do free style dancing or something new, which makes the song always fun to watch to see what they do at the end. 3. The song Arriba (the drinking song) is their first latino song they made (it was very well received and they made more after). Arriba in Spanish is what you say before drinking, kinda like "Cheers" in English. And they weren't actually drinking during the performance, Yeosang later revealed that it was barley tea. And you are right, Mingi does reference Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with his costume during his rap part. :) It was a spoiler for their next comeback 'Work' where he is dressed like Willy Wonka, atiny call it Mingi Wonka. But he's kept the attire ever since when he's performing Arriba because it was so well received. 4. Finally, you have no idea how wild the Wonderland performance in Coachella was for older atiny.😩😩😩 It was the FIRST time since Kingdom when they performed Wonderland in this version, with the Kraken and everything, YEARS after Kingdom. We didn't exepect that version to ever get performed again. Mingi was also not present during Kingdom, so it was the first time we had this version with Mingi in it. :] And Jongho's 4 notes durring the bridge, it is not part of the original Wonderland song and before then, it only existed in the Kingdom performance. So it was the first time after years when we heard (totally unexpectedly) Jongho's 4 notes. And they've kept this version of Wonderland in their live performances ever since (I watched it live this year in their Europe tour :D). We also had the comeback of the Seonghwa scene where he slays the Kraken. I'm not sure if you saw because the video doesn't have very good quality, but you can see Seonghwa at the end having a black tear stain from his eyeshadow (payed actor if u ask me), and after it came out, my twitter was FILLED with artists who painted Seonghwa's tear for dayss.😩 I recommend searching Seonghwa Coachella tear. That's it I'm sorry for talking so much but I swear some of these key moments change a lot when you know the context so I hope it helped. :] Thank again for your reaction!

Jess

dont apologize for your comment! i love reading this, it just shows how passionate you are and how much you care, i love it!! ❤ 1. of courseeeeeee, now the eye makes sense, the only thing i could think of that it was flipping creepy HAHAH 2. i didnt know there was this crazy backstory hahah thats insane tho! 4. wait you are right, Mingi was missing from Kingdom! i forgot that was a thingggg! and yeah unfortunately i didnt see seonghwa slaying the kraken again. I think i was still in shock from Jonghos high notes again hahahhaha

Matsu Makky

I remember waking up early to watch them in live in TV. I was so nervous, then sooo proud!! It was incredible and they're gave me so much goosebumps

Zoé Turcotte

For precision about Guerrila it’s flag version

Zoé Turcotte

For Guerrila you should watch the performance they do in Madrid but just a YouTube short clip because the crowd was so loud that we can hear them outside the arena and in all of the loud crowd we can here in the background Jongho high note powerful but we can hear him not very much and also the crowd was so loud Ateez cannot hear the beat of the song so they dancing to their own beat https://www.youtube.com/shorts/eYZFA-NjRmE
